Total Home is always quick to respond and take care of the issues. They do not ask the customers to drastically change the existing setup, which is good thing for me. They systematically troubleshoot and change that particular which causes the issue. They do scientific and thorough job. I appreciate Gordon and Nate very much. Thank you.

Gordon was prompt and knew his stuff; we have an old wall heater where the pilot would not stay lit. He rearranged his schedule to come by and take a look. He discovered a part that should have been set up higher and once it was elevated, the problem was solved.I am happy to have a great HVAC vendor!

Gordon is racist hates women told me on the day of that he didn’t want to deal with me because I am a hard person to get things through to yet he over talks after I told him several times deal with me because my husband is at work he just ignored me never gave him a reason the day of installation I had to tell his guy to get off my property got very offended because I told him to cover my floor before the job he then told me if he doesn’t let his wife talk to him like that what makes me think I’ll let him talk to me like that…. Very unprofessional that’s my experience I’m glad I didn’t spent a fortune over their service on top of that took off the furnace and just left it outside left me with a huge hole in my house from the removal . Gordon talks talks talks that’s what he does he is a sales manager that’s his job so it makes it seem like he knows what he’s doing. Service Tech Nathan was knowledgeable and installed new smart thermostat and spent time to ensure we knew how to use it with our phones.

Update Aug 2024: The upstairs system was unresponsive, no heat or AC, not even the fan. I replaced the ancient thermostat (on my list anyway), but no change. So I called in Total Home and Nathan once again did an excellent job. The problem turned out to be wiring in the AC compressor which had apparently been twisted together years ago, and some of the insulation had come off, eventually shorting a couple wires and blowing the fuse in the main unit. Nathan redid the wiring and replaced the fuse, problem resolved quickly!Original post:They initially came out to diagnose why our furnace wouldnt light. Nathan provided a list of options from temporary repair to full HVAC system replacement, with price points for each. We chose a middle course, just replacing the furnace and leaving the AC components alone.The installation crew of Caesar and two assistants completed the removal of the old and installation of the new in about 2 to 2.5 hours! Couldnt believe they were done already. They put down drop cloths along the path from the front door to the attic access panel and swept up afterwards. Very professional job.I should mention this started with me posting an online request for a quote one night around 9:30. Gordon, the owner/co-owner called within a minute, to discuss the problem and schedule a visit. Talk about responsive. And theyve all been very good about explaining how the systems work and answering questions.

It is crazy hot heat wave in LA and my ac stopped working just in time… called atleast 5 different hvacs who were all busy then Total home havoc, Lyne answered and sent the hvac expert (Gordon Brown) in few hrs and he fixed it quickly and couldn’t be happier customer. I cannot possibly say enough good things about working with the team from Total Home Environmental. The circuit board on our furnace burned out for the second winter in a row. Gordon was the second HVAC expert to tell us that this was likely due to the awful ducting job in our attic, so we decided it was time to take care of the ducting. Weve also been wanting to put in a/c after the awful heat at the end of last summer but werent sure we could swing that as well right now, so we asked for a quote just to see. We were thrilled with the price Gordon gave us for everything and decided to move forward. He and his team were professional and easy to work with. At the end of the first day of work, we saw how big the a/c unit was, and when we asked about the size and other options, Gordon and his team were so helpful. Even though they had already delivered the larger unit, they offered to use that one for another job, and they got us a different smaller unit thats really quiet, more energy efficient, fit much better in the space we had available, and still didnt break the bank. Today is our first full day using the heat with the new ducting and enlarged vents, and its like night and day! The heat goes on and every room in the house is warm within minutes. Its so much more efficient, and were so grateful for the amazing job they did for us. You will not be disappointed with Total Home Environmental!

Gordon is an incredible project manager! He and his team are very courteous and professional. Gordon explained step by step what they were doing, and educated us on the entire sector of work since we aren’t privy to HVAC world. The condenser outside is truly silent!We would have liked the inclusion of dry wall repair rather than finding our own contractor, but we were aware of that from the start. Also, he had to send his guys out four times to attend to water leakage. After a week, it was resolved and there wasn’t any major damage.Overall, it was five star work. He made what seemed to be impossible, a dream come true!!!

Our 104 year old floor furnace furnace got wet and the pilot went out during the Atmospheric River event of Feb 2024. I called Total Home Environmental and they came out the next day, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in record time!!!The woman that answered the phone was great and very helpful! (Lynn?). Rude and unprofessional. I was browsing for HVAC repair on Angies list and received phone calls / text messages from 5 different companies at the same time. In communicating with Gordon with Total Home HVAC, I asked for pricing on diagnostics ($45) then expressed that I needed to shop around to consider my options and would call later when ready to schedule. Gordon (or whoever I was texting with) insulted me, stating that if I need to shop around over $45 then I clearly cant afford a licensed HVAC professional.Consider that maybe people shop around for reasons other than price and sometimes, as in my case, literally have 5 companies competing for the job.This interaction has ensured I will not be doing any business with this company. Thanks for that.

After a very hot weekend and a blown out transformer on Saturday, I called, spoke with the wonderful Lynn, and was booked for SAME DAY SERVICE. I was really stressed (and hot) and Lynn was empathetic and said Gordon would be by that afternoon.Gordon was also great. My husband, who does not hand out compliments, said Gordon really knew his stuff. He gave us 3 repair options. He came back today to finish the job and we could’ve happier.We have a service contract with another company- they check our heater/ac 3 times per year. Gordon came out and tried to fix a 16-year-old condenser unit with a bad compressor. It just did not work. I had two other companies tell me the same things. Gordons quotes for new units were cheaper than one of the quotes for a new compressor unit. Gordon and his crew did a great job, showed up on time, and cleaned the area. With the price difference I got, I could buy a much better, quieter, and more efficient unit.

Technicians did an excellent job diagnosing the issues with my mini split, made necessary repairs and remained available for any questions or concerns.

Our air conditioner stopped working five months ago. I called all the big names to have them look at it. They all agreed the problem was the condenser coil‘s. I had a relatively new system but the people that installed it went out of business. The compressor was almost new everything else was almost new but the coils had failed. I called seven different air conditioner companies to come out and fix it and they all wanted to sell me an entirely new system at the rate of $10-$12,000 I did some digging and found how much the parts cost and estimated the labor and continued to call one company after anotherI was extremely lucky I finally called Total Home Environment HVAC …. and yes these guys are the BEST and they are a family operated business, the owner of the company came out and evaluated the problem and and recommended to replace the defective parts at an extremely reasonable rate and 3 times lower than any of the crooks. The guys that did the repair are first class, they were fast extremely competent, extremely courteous and extremely friendly. Again, these guys are the best and I highly recommend them. You would be a fool to call any of the big companies they are all crooks, trying to make up fir their loses from “lockdiwns” all on YOUR dime. A better guarantee on the repair than any of the seven I called and you would be foolish to call any of the other certifiable crooks.

Watched employee Nathan remove a light bulb in a customers primary bedroom bath. Nathan removed one of the bulbs above mirror and replace with a bulb employee daniel broke going up and down the ladder to attic access. Then Daniel did not know how to operate a Rigid vacuum and attached the hose in the blower hole at the back and blew fine dust all over the bathroom and did not clean up his mess.

Extremely knowledgeable, Harrison was able to identify all the issues Ive had with my old A/C, and was able to do so quickly and with out a bunch of fancy diagnostic tests, experience definitely matters. What is more appreciated is his honesty, a straight shooter, he could have very easily tried to up sell me, but he went out of his way to find me the best deal on a new A/C unit. Hard to find someone you can trust, but glad I can trust this company.

I purchased a Daiken mini-split system from Total Environmental last August 2022, and it worked like a charm through the summer and the winter. Total Environmental just came (June 2023) to check everything and two units plus condenser are all working flawlessly. I look forward to another year of great A/C and a warm home in the winter. UPDATE: July 30, 2024, Total Home Environmental came to check and clean my two units, plus the condenser. Everything continues to work flawlessly. I love and appreciate the system they installed two years ago, and the good service I receive from the company. I hope my reviews and updates help someone else made a decision to consider this company for a great mini-split system.

In today’s reality, it’s so hard to find someone who you can trust in doing your HVAC work.I had some air quality problems and I called 10 other companies before talking to Gordon at Total Home Environmental HVAC. He came to my home and did Carbon Monoxide testing and checked everything including the ductwork under the house. What a professional!! This visit was just an inspection/estimate on what replacing the outside compressor and piping would be. This cost was reasonable, and if they are hired, it is waived. Very professional.

I couldnt be happier with Total Home Environmental HVAC. I called them due to great reviews on Google for work quality, and they surpassed my expectations AND offered a very reasonable price (50% less than a quote we got last summer).We had a busted heating system, terrible old ducting and no A/C. I spoke with Gordon (the owner I believe) and he clearly diagnosed my issues and gave me all the facts I needed to decide how to proceed (convinced me not to overpay for a heatpump system that I initially inquired about). Then the crew led by Caesar did a wonderful, efficient, clean job and was a friendly presence to have around the house for a couple days. There were a few obstacles that arose, but the team was very flexible and communicated well, and they made sure to install the optimal equipment to fit our needs even though it required additional work on their end. Harrison and Nate were also involved in different parts of the job lending their expertise to make sure the system was up and running properly including a tricky nest thermostat.Long review, but my family is just so grateful we found them! If youre thinking of adding A/C, you have to reach out to them!

They put a used heater into my mobile home. I waited a few days to be sure but the heater works well, and Gordon was right. He said to put it on low and I’m glad I did because it heats up fast. No complaints. Just in time because it is starting to get chilly.

Instead of diagnosing the problem company was focused on replacing system because, according to them, furnace wasn’t installed according to code (even though unit was professionally installed by Sears 30 years ago with a permit and corresponding inspection)

Technician Gordon diagnosed the problem at the end of the day and called me the following morning to follow up on picking up the needed piece. He installed the part and the heating system turned on immediately. (As a note, another company told me that a different part was needed and quoted me a price almost $200 higher).
