He was very thorough, educational, patient in his explanation, professional in every way and he fixed the issue! I want to complement Sergio Torres (one of the technicians) working at Carter services.Today he came and fixed my subzero freezer. I thought I was going to need a new compressor. But he very wisely check the relay on the freezer and end up costing a fraction of what the new compressor wouldve.Ive used them for several jobs and theyre an excellent company and I would highly recommend them. They have integrity. Theyre honest. And theyre reliable.

I was very impressed with the great customer service I received when I needed help with a refrigerator that was no longer working properly. The technician, Isac Buenrostro was very knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem within a very short amount of time. His recommendations about the options I had regarding fixing the problem were very helpful. I would definitely Use Carter Services again and recommend them to my friends.

James was a great technician. He was able to quickly troubleshoot our issue, clearly explained to me what was going on and how he repaired our appliance. He also showed us how to properly maintain our unit to avoid future issues. Overall great experience with James and Carter Service.

Josh was extremely helpful. He found that in trying to install our new thermostat ourselves, we had! Shorted out some wires connected to our heater. He repaired those, and told us that the thermostat we had bought was not suitable for our heater. He is in, went back to his shop and got a thermostat that would work for us, brought it back, installed it instructed us in using it and made sure that it was set correctly. We were very grateful for his help and his work.

Needed to call them back washer stopped during cycle, wouldn’t drain. Ivan came and was very helpful, he was able to correct what.ever it was. It’s fine now, all is working.

Carlos is an amazing technician! Always so pleasant and explains issues and resolutions. Carter Services did pretty good, not excellent. That’s because I was told I would receive a call either on Friday night or Monday morning to let me know the service window time. No call. I had to call them. Otherwise the service call was fine. Alex was professional and nice.

Ive been using Carter Services for appliance repairs for over 25 years, and they never fail to exceed my expectations. Recently, our refrigerator needed a special part, and they went above and beyond to get it fixed in just one day. Another technician even went out of their way to pick up the part and bring it over. The knowledge and skill of their technicians are unmatched, and the quality of their work is consistently excellent. I cant recommend them enough for anyone in need of reliable and efficient appliance repair.

I am editing this review with a disappointing update. The first visit did not solve my problem after all (ice making did not resume). On the return visit I was told the cause was a faulty water filter. Oddly, the repair person told me on the first visit that the filter I had just replaced was not the correct one but that it was ok to use. On the return visit the repair person said the faulty filter was the issue. He replaced the filter and that apparently (we shall see) solved the problem. He tried to charge me another $200 for the second visit which I refused. I agreed to pay for the new filter for which I was charged $110! A three pack of these filters sells online for $71. I would not recommend this company and I will report that to Bosch as they are an approved repair company on the Bosch website. This is literally the first negative review I have ever posted.

The technician did his job perfectly. Trouble shooting the problem, removing and replacing the defective part, pressure transducer.Sept 2023 a new Carrier heater model 58SU0A was installed in my home.Nov 2024 Pressure Transducer had to be replaced.Carrier, knew that there is a problem with this part..yet installed this system.I am not the only customer having this problem.Though the part is under warranty it still cost me $400, labor fee to install.This could have been avoided if Carrier was thinking about the customerThank youDomingo chong

Jerry was amazing tasked with converting our gas Wolf range and oven from gas to liquid propane. We bought the conversion kit directly from SubZero Wolf and he spent hours taking apart the range and oven doing the conversion. Hes a consummate professional and was on time, courteous and completed the job with a smile. We were so impressed that we asked him to come back and repair our washing machine when that broke the next day!

Issac from Carter Services was very courteous and professional while installing the new Thermador refrigerator inverter. Isaac went above and beyond to explain what was wrong with the part and how to maintain its maintenance from future failure. Please entertain a pay raise to have him stay with your company. You need more employees like Issac.

I called you Tuesday a week ago!!! It took you a week to get a technician out here! Shame on you. I’ve never waited a week for a technician. The only reason you are getting a 3 is because the technician Corey was phenomenal even though he couldn’t fix the problem and had to order a part he tried! You didn’t!!!!

Awful quality service. Judge for yourself. We are very disappointed. Carter Services does our maintenance for heat and AC system. They were here at the beginning of the summer. This week, I noticed something odd through the vent of our air conditioning filter. See the pictures and judge for yourself. Not only the installation of the filter was poorly done but it seems like the technician did not have the right size of filter and decided to cut it to make it fit! As a result, the filter was not secured in place therefore didnt provided filtration. Also, the filter was the cheapest quality you can possible find in the market. We are paying for this. To us, this is unacceptable. We wont use Carter Services again.

Staffed with consummate professionals...from the friendly, very competent office staff with terrific people skills, to the knowledgeable, highly skilled technicians, it is an always a pleasure to call and work with Carter services! Today was no exception. I called for help with a couple of plumbing issues (one toilet - not flushing properly and another toilet - running 24/7). Plumbers Ben and Miguel came out, determined what the issues were, provided a detailed cost, time frame estimate and then did a great job with the repairs. I was impressed by Carter Services providing, via text, the tech who was scheduled to be at my home. They also provided real-time ETA information as to the tech’s location and distance from my house. However, I found the tech to be slightly condescending and a little argumentative. I did not trust that what he was telling me was true and factual. The price he quoted for repairs was exorbitant and as a senior on a fixed income, I did not agree to have the repairs done. I could have almost paid for a new refrigerator for the cost of the repairs.

Excellent and highly professional service. I adore my new kitchen faucet and had lived with the old terrible one for way too long. Next time don’t wait, just give them a call and your plumbing challenges will we solved!

Carter Services provides plumbing, electrical, air conditioning and electrical. They also fix stoves in that mix. Today I had Mr. Lo working on my ice maker. He also noted that on Whirlpool refrigerators to keep the seals clean. Instead of charging me to replace the seal (over $500), he told me to clean it.Carter technicians give you honest service. They do good work and don’t seek to overcharge you7/21/24: Had Lance work in my fire alarm system throughout my house. He replaced it earlier and it needed a check up. The check up was free because Carter warranties their work. Again, excellent service!!8/24: Service again for the garbage disposal. Again good service. The only thing I wish would change is the $98 call out fee. I understand why though. This is not going to stop me from calling them because their service is great!!11/24: Had issues with my garbage disposal. If not Lance try Miguel Rodriguez. Excellent service and explained what was wrong and what he would do to fix it.

Carter Services installed a new furnace for us. They were professional at the highest level, taking all responsibility for the installation and building inspections. Any questions were addressed immediately and there was constant check-in by the Company to make sure everything was done correctly and according to all city standards. We had several technicians at the house doing and reviewing the work. All of these men were wonderful- sharing information about the products and taking the time to tutor us about the care and maintenance of this new appliance. We couldnt have had a better experience!

Update 9/13/24: Omar was nice, very calming personality. Explained my options for replacing my water heater and upgrading to a tankless water heater. Offered a great price and other great perks versus the competitor*********************************Wow! What a great experience. After nearly 8 years and zero maintenance beyond the sheer basics, I felt like I should have my washer/dryer checked out by a pro. I initially considered using Sears service, but decided on a smaller business with Carter Service. They sent out James M and he was awesome! He called an hour before our scheduled appointment time and since it happened to be perfect timing, he was able to arrive and leave sooner than we expected, which was great for all of us on a Friday afternoon! James was very nice and willing to share his knowledge with us. We appreciated his ethical approach to doing his job which saved us a couple hundred dollars but also helped Carter gain a new long term customer. He was sure to let us know all the services the company provides and we are already keeping them on speed-dial next time we need a plumber. Also, before the tech arrived, the response to my initial online request was handled within a reasonable timeframe and I received a confirmation call the evening before. Overall, it was a pleasant and painless experience. Highly recommended.

Our Subzero under the counter refrigerator/icemaker in our wet bar area broke down after 30 years. I called Carter to see if it was fixable and the technician showed up right on time and was done in about an hour. Kent was clearly knowledgeable and gave me good advice. Big Fan of Carters for south bay plumbing work. I can count on them, the receptionist is super helpful. Everytime i have scheduled them they have been on time and got the job done quickly. Most of all when the job is done they have given me a great written report of everything they did including other recommendations.

Just had Carters to repair my LG Washing Machine. Repair was done quickly, professionally and neatly. Ivan was very personable and knowledgeable. Diagnosed the problem in about 5 min (water pump), had the part for repair in his truck and was done with the whole visit in less than an hour. Left the repair area clean and organized.The office staff was great as well with setting up the appointment. Courteous and professional on the phone. Asked me a handful of questions about the problem and the model of my machine so they could help the tech prepare for the visit (which is why I think the part was on the truck already). They confirmed the morning window for the repair the day before and then sent a text with the name and photo of the tech when he was on his way, which is a great security feature.The service was not inexpensive, however this was a complicated enough repair that I think it would have taken at least a full day of multiple trips to Home Depot and hours of YouTube videos to do what Ivan did in an hour. The time and aggravation saved was well worth it and certainly less than buying a new washing machine.I would use them again for appliance repair.

Between both Isacs from Carters, I received great care with regards to the ice maker in our refrigerator. With the appliance being 20+ years old, numerous things were tried but were ultimately advised that it would not be able to fix completely with investing money that would be better used toward a new refrigerator. I appreciated everything they both did and the experience advise they shared.

Starting with the receptionist, was great understanding that my washing machine was not working and I had house guests got us into the schedule for the next day. Jesse was amazing. He was efficient and knowledgeable. He was able to give great feedback to make sure our machine lasts. Never disappointed with Carter Service. Thanks!

Quick and professional also cheaper and speedier than Bosch was several months priorDid ask about our LG freezer door gasket which was not working properly and he looked at it and said it wasn’t removable and therefore needed a new door. Very expensive.Well, I looked up the model number and went on the LG parts site and it IS AVAILABLE. I ordered it for $85 and will get it in a few days. I can install it.

We have a Flume device attached to our main water supply meter. It let us know that we may have a potential water leak. Carter Services assigned Andres, who came to our house on the appointed day and time. He conducted himself professionally even though he could not find the leak. Andres came back two days later, with all the leak detection tools necessary to find our illusive indoor water leak. By this time the water leaks source became obvious. After he confirmed the leaks location, he gave us options on how to fix (repair the supply side pipe from inside the house or from the outside wall). Andres then replaced the leaking water pipe, opened the water supply with no resulting water leak! He then cleaned all the debris resulting from his work. We definitely will use Carter Services in the future.

Jerry was very knowledgeable regarding our Thermador Refrigerator. He was able to diagnose and fix our problem. Jerry came highly recommended by friends of mine!

Third visit: Carlos was able to add an electrical outlet to our master closet without disabling a nearby wall heater. He also added a dimmer to our bathroom lights. He does a great job and keeps everything clean as well.Second visit: We are glad that we could have Carlos Rios again. He took care of my list of eight items in two hours as he is very good at electrical jobs. Put on booties because it rained last night. Kept his mask on. Cleaned up. Very nice young man.First Visit: Worked efficiently. Carlos not only got the messed up switches working and improved, he made it look great, too. Very pleasant and considerate young man. Knows his stuff!

Thermador couldn’t come out and Carter services was a trusted company. I was able to have them come out under warranty to look at my range which was having a cooling fan issue. They were easy to schedule with, quick to make the repairs, and texted me when they were on their way. I also used them to assess an electrical situation for $109. Both James Mora (appliance) and Carlos Rios (electrical) we’re very professional and knowledgeable!

My technician was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. He did a wonderful job on my appliance. They have a great quality of service and they are not dishonest.My only concern is their pricing, it has gone up considerably and it’s a shame if I would have to go else where. Carter’s has a great reputation in the South Bay and we need companies to continue in this manner of honesty and integrity. But, to see their pricing go up, makes it hard for those of us who do enjoy their services to stay on. My mom has now since passed, but she had been using Carter’s since the 80’s that’s how I was introduced.

Will continue to use them for future needs.Kent gave me all the options for possible repair and costs on my Sub-Zero refrigerator after his analysis. The sound could not be repeated and there was no rush for a costly repair. Should it return, I have clear instructions to troubleshoot the cause and if need be contact Carter with those results.Emmanuel was my service technician and he was making a return trip to troubleshoot an EcoBee that had been installed. Very professional.

Edgar was excellent. He quickly diagnosed a minor problem and fixed with a cleaning. He stayed to ensure that the heater worked. He only charged us the on-site diagnosis fee which was very reasonable. I really loved that they emailed the invoice that contained excellent description of the issue and the fix. Ivan quickly solved the problem with my Thermador gas oven and repaired it. He gave me lots of helpful information for the future. I was so pleased with his service. Carter services has always been terrific in the past and I will call them again.

Called Carter for the first time and they were excellent! Ivan came out with Keanu and they were both so friendly and easy to talk to. Ivan listened to what was happening to my dishwasher and quickly assessed the situation. He did a complete check on my dishwasher to make sure everything was well. I will definitely call Carter for my appliance needs in the future. Very knowledgeable!

Called and gave error code over phone...made apps. for repair. Tech came out, wrote same code and left. That service call was 100.00 to get a code I supplied over the phone.I called to explain that seems wrong to do. After listening to the owner complain about his overhead he refunded me 50.00. The repair cost was over 700.00 (not including the 100.00)or a part costing 35.00.The repair took 17 minutes. Im all for making a profit.. but really.

Our Sun Zero refrigerator needed a few new parts in order to repair the ice dispenser in the door and the seal around the doors. Great job! Weve used Carters for several different types of repairs and have always been pleased.

I needed the gasket seal replaced on the freezer of my refrigerator freezer. Isaac explained the problem showed me how the underside of the gasket had hardened and then carefully explained what I needed to do to thaw out the freezer and prepare for the replacement part to be installed. When he returned a few days later with the part he was quick and neat. Patiently answered my questions and overall a great experience!

Carter Services is a go to service provider we relay on for help. Recently Carlos saved an uncomfortable moment with electrical panel that rusted out. He was timely, replaced a panel and helped future proof for changes.

Great job guys! Chris and Kalani called when they were on the way, and arrived in the window of time I was given! They listened, then started inspecting and showed me the problems. They explained why things were happening and how to help the system work better in future! They wrote a quote before the work began and with my approval they fixed all the things we had talked about! They took pictures to show me work done and already their work has made a huge difference. They were friendly and professional, knowledgeable and fully transparent with all work performed! I called because my washer was making a horrible noise and got an appt. the next day. Jesse was our technician and he got right to work looking for the issue. He was very knowledgeable about our washer and how they work and gave us a good idea of the issue and gave us a quote. He also gave us great information about other brand washers in the market since he has worked on all of them. Jesse went over and above, and represented Carter’s very well.

Called Carter for HVAC services and they were absolutely excellent!!! I had another HVAC repair company come out prior and they were not able to find the issue and told me to buy a new one. I called Carter and Josh came out and was able to properly and quickly diagnose the issue and repaired it for a fair price. He knew exactly what he was doing and was thorough in explaining it. This was night and day better than the prior company I utilized and Im grateful for their honest hard work. I will certainly call Carter for future HVAC and other services.

Previously (on 8/13/19) I had a great experience with Jacob at Carter Services repairing my dryer.Today (on 10/10/19) I again had a wonderful experience with both Alan and Eddie of Carter Services. My disposal would not work and both technicians were very helpful in diagnosing and resolving the problem. Our freezers stopped working and Carter Services was able to respond to our request within 1 day. Unfortunately, the technician (Scott) was running late to the appointment but he was willing to come after hours to fix the freezers anyway. Scott was very nice and apologetic for being late and was able to perform the servicing without any problems. He even looked at the fridge filter to make sure we didn’t have problems with that too.

Ben Bynum of Carter Services is an excellent plumber who went all out to fix my clogged sinks. Previous plumber said he was unable to fix it and was going to have to go into wall to repair. Ben did not have to go through wall and got it done. I really appreciate his hard work and knowledge about plumbing. Also a great fair price for a long and hard job.

Greg did a terrific job in clearing my dryer vent. This, despite the rain, he worked efficiently and professionally throughout. He clearly explained what was and was not covered and provided recommendations to take of the items Carter would not do (I.e., moving the dryer to get at the lint that may be in the machine).Truly appreciate the work.

The ceiling in my garage sprung a bad leak, damage and origin was unknown to me. It looked like I might need a new ceiling. I called Carter Services and they dispatched Ben in a very timely fashion. He was kind, professional and courteous. After his assessment, he discovered and repaired what could have been a disastrous situation. A burst pipe was the culprit. The price was quite reasonable, he was very tidy and my water supply is now back to normal. I highly recommend Carter Services and give Ben a 10 out of 10 on a job well done. I just had an amazing experience with Carter. From the very beginning they were amazing. We needed 3 commercial AC units installed and also needed AC added to some additional rooms that we built. They were able to come in with the best price. They were professional, fair and really responsive. Gilbert was our tech and he was extremely responsive via email. They also came out and serviced our other AC units during the heatwave. I highly recommend them.

I called Carter Services because my washing machine had stopped working properly. The technician, Sergio, came out and was very friendly and honest. After some time examining the machine, he determined what was needed to repair it, and it would cost a minimum of $350. He was very forthright that even with those repairs, he could discover something else that needed fixing, and he agreed with me that replacement of the machine made more sense. Overall, very satisfied with the visit and th professionalism of Sergio.

Ivan has been out to repair our washer and dryer three times in the last 7 months, which is no commentary on his service but, rather, the brand of washer/dryer we stupidly bought. We’ve come to learn that they require more care and attention than a social influencer on TikTok! But I digress. Ivan was terrific and identified the problems right away and got them repaired. He provided helpful tips on how to keep our appliances “happy” which we’ll consider while shopping for a new brand that isn’t so “needy.”

I know this is long overdue, but Technician James came to my house a few weeks ago to work on my very new refrig that Costco wont take bag. In only 3-1/2 months I have had 2 repairs. James was amazing. He spent the time to do the diagnostics, was able to fix my ice maker, I could understand him. He was very thorough and comprehensive. It was one of the very few positive appliance repair experiences I have had in many years . Thank you, great job a James!

Carters came out to repair furnace - the initial phone calls with Brianna and Denise were very polite with fantastic customer service skills! Richard came out to service it very promptly, explained everything thoroughly and gave very reasonable estimate without pressure.. He repaired it, double-checked all for safety and was so very pleasant to deal with. He also explained everything again after repair and said to call anytime with any questions or problems. Great experience - will always cal on CarterI am updating my review because my last few experiences with Carter were very unsatisfactory. Called them because heater was not working. Got quoted on price which almost doubled after the work. He replaced 2 different parts and next term I used the heater, same exact problem, no heat. Called them and they came out to tell me needs new circuit board now! And will charge almost $600.00 for this on top of the last 2 service calls for $1200.00 . Im very disappointed in this service and after decades of using them, I wont!!

Whirlpool Duet Natural Gas Clothes Dryer - The drive belt for the tumbler broke on my 10 plus year dryer. James Mora from Carter Services was able to diagnose and pinpoint the problem quickly. He replaced the drive belt and roller guides. I am now back up and running again. Very prompt and professional service! True craftsman of their trade!

I contacted Carter Services and Scott arrived in less than an hour to help out with our washer that was on the fritz.The service was very prompt and professional. Scott was extremely curteous and well mannered. The fix was completed within about 40 minutes, and the service was explained nicely. More than a year later we have not had any problems whatsoever.I had dealt with both bigger and smaller companies in the past, and this experience was by far the most impressive. Now I know who to call in the future.

Jake is extremely well qualified and efficiently developed a quality plan for installing a 240 Volt outlet for our electric clothes dryer in our new home, which only had a gas connection. .The mistake I made was not discussing the estimated cost, which because of high copper wire prices totaled enough for us to buy a brand new gas dryer.Therefore, we decided not to go ahead with this installation and instead buy a new gas dryer.We were very impressed with the way Jake and the Carter office staff responded. They were very understanding and considerate , and only charged their standard $89 charge for a service call. Wanting to be fair to these wonderful people who truly live Carter’s customer first values, I insisted on paying a little bit more. And they earned a customer for life.Bob Bennett

Repair great but customer service is not good at all. Had to call for a broken washing machine that needed a new part. After 10 days, a $300 deposit paid and not a word from them I called to see about when they expected the part to arrive since we were continuing to have to go to the laundry mat. I was told on that Friday that the part should be coming Monday and that I would receive a call on Monday to set up the install. Monday came around and not a peep from them so I called in the afternoon and first the person looked up the account and could find no information after having me on hold for a long time. Then she connected me to the parts department where Tony was able to look it up quickly and see that the part was already there (and had been there) and they should have called and made an appointment with me. He transferred me back and told me to tell them specifically that he told me that it was there and to get the install ASAP before the Thanksgiving holiday! They came and installed it the next day easy. As I said, the repair guys are great and are always very sweet but the office staff is not friendly at all and generally make you feel a bit like you are bothering them. I will continue to use them as their repair service is great but I really wish their inside team was as nice as those guys out there doing the hard work.

Carlos investigated why the Vinotemp wine cooler wasn’t working and explained the problem (pipe leak inside the walls which was not repairable). He was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, and professional, plus polite and friendly. Even though the issue was not fixable, Carlos was outstanding!

Wow, I cant say enough good things about Carter. I had water leaking from my fridge on my beautiful hardwood floors. It had been going on all day with the rugs soaking it up and and we didnt discover it until my daughter walked barefoot across the rug. This was late afternoon on a Friday so I figured we would be lucky if we got someone out to look at it on Monday. They had someone already in the area on another call and he would stop by when he was done. How awesome is that. Scott fixed the leaking water and all is good with minimal water damage to my cabinets. We were so lucky to have been home when this happened and even luckier to have Carters come so quickly to fix it. Scott was very knowledgable and professional. I cant recommend them enough.
