First and foremost, Ben, Chapo, and the crew are truly good people. Any review for contractors, in my experience over the past decade, could stop right there...but Ill keep going ha. The work they did for us (pavers and pergola, as well as some rocks, cement steps, and cleanup) was impeccable. They truly care about what they do, how it looks, its longevity, etc. We made many changes mid-project, and the communication was incredibly thorough, considerate, and flowed flawlessly. Weve had awful experiences with contractors more often than Id like to admit, so we feel very lucky and grateful to have found these guys, and will use them with any outdoor work we have in the future! HIGHLY recommend.

Really happy with Artscapes work transforming our front and backyard and parkway. I spoke to three contractors for consultations and quotes, and Ben and Oscar stood well above the rest. Ben was really communicative, listened to our goals and provided helpful input on design and plant suggestions, kept us updated with schedules and timing, and incorporated our ideas seamlessly into his plan.Oscar and his crew installing were very knowledgeable, did an incredible amount of work in 3 days, and were very respectful of the site and left it spotless. Communication after the job is over has been great as well - I had a water leak unrelated to the landscaping job that Ben came out to trouble shoot on a Sunday at no charge. This is a great and very professional crew to work, and I highly recommend.

I reached out to Ben from Artscape Gardens as well as three other landscapers in the area for quotes. From the start, Artscape stood out from the crowd with Bens professionalism, promptness, and integrity.During the entire process I felt that I was listened to. When I wasnt sure how to implement what I wanted, Ben was very good at turning my priorities into smart design choices. I was always given options and suggestions throughout the design and I never felt lost or without control.Once we settled on a design, the work was done efficiently and professionally. I expected about three weeks of work, as quoted by other contractors, when it turned out to be one week total.I had close to 2,700 sq ft of garden, so great care was taken to keep costs low without sacrificing quality. The end result is amazing and a beautiful testament to Bens design & implementation.

Ben, Matt, Oscar, and Jose could not have been more professional, collaborative, or efficient. We reached out to a TON of folks to try to get a quote on overhauling our backyard, and rarely received timely communication. Not only did Artscape get back to us with a quote when they said they would, they then worked with us to get the budget to where we needed it to be. They also were able to start work ahead of time, and finished ahead of schedule. I could not speak more highly of their professionalism and artistry. They took a backyard full of dying grass and dirt and turned it into paradise - our friends all say that when they walk into our backyard, it feels like a spa, and we agree. Were already thinking about what they can do for our front yard - they are truly the best in LA.

We had a great experience with Artscape Gardens. They helped us design a beautiful backyard and did every aspect of the work we needed from demo, pouring concrete, building a custom bench, fence, new planting, turf, lighting, and everything else we could throw at them. They were very fast, super responsive, professional, and really personable. We felt super comfortable with them in our space with our 2 little boys who loved saying hi to Oscar and Chapo every day. We are thrilled with the results. Can’t recommend them more highly!

We had the wonderful opportunity to work with Ben and his team. We initially talked to Tammy via email and subsequently met in person to go over our front lawn project. She gave us several ideas and explained everything thoroughly.After receiving other quotes from different companies, we decided to go with Artscape Gardens because of their attention to detail and prompt communication style. Not only did Ben have other projects, but he also went overseas and he did not skip and kept us updated on our project.During our groundbreaking, Ben was onsite to make sure everyone was in sync with what was happening since we had a pretty significant project. His team was actually on site every morning at 7am ready work.Chapo (not the drug lord lol) was our foreman and was in charge of our project. We couldnt be more happier with Chapo. His team was non stop and treated our home like it was their own. The best compliment we could receive is random pedestrians stopping in front of our lawn to admire the work created by Ben, Tammy, Chapo, and Oscar.

Ben and his team were terrific. Ben is a great communicator. Before his team broke ground, I had heard from Ben numerous time on our plan and where things stood regarding a start date.Once they were on site, Oscar and his team turned our backyard into just what we had hoped: a low maintenance, drought tolerant space we could enjoy and two grow beds where we could try our hand at growing food.

We had a fantastic experience working with Artscape Gardens. Ben was always responsive and available to answer any questions or concerns we had. Communication throughout the project was great. Bens recommendations were always made on the basis of what was right for the project and we never felt like he was trying to upsell us on anything. He encouraged us to consider options that he thought would get us the best bang for our buck, but he was never pushy if we decided to go in a different direction. Oscar, our project manager, was also a joy to work with and very knowledgeable. We love our new backyard space and would absolutely recommend Artscape Gardens!

I really appreciated how flexible Ben was working with my designer and I. We reshuffled things at various locations a number of times with no complaints, as well as ended up moving some things that were not part of the original project. They did a great job hiding the irrigation lines and the system has been working great so far. On top of all that, they finished the job under time and under estimate! Very satisfied all around!

Artscape Gardens was referred to us by a landscaper and we thoroughly appreciated their work. They transformed our front and backyards of dying grass to flower gardens with drought resistant and native plants in December last year. We cant wait for the plants to mature and bloom in due time. From the start it was clear that Ben was both knowledgable and passionate about this work. Additionally, Bens price quote was very reasonable relative to some other quotes we got.Throughout the process Ben and his team were very communicative and kept us in the loop on the progress of our project. Neither my husband nor I had a lot of background in plants but AG did a great job both advising and listening to our preferences. They also gave us a lot of attention despite the fact that this was a pretty small project.On the day of the project, the team came early and the job was done in a matter of hours! We are very pleased with the work Artscape Gardens did for us! They did a small wall (1.5’x27’) made of granite rocks, two brick paths, grading, irrigation, and planting in our front yard. It all looks beautiful. Everything was done to a high standard and the crew was accommodating and easy to work with. We couldn’t have asked for anything more and we’ll certainly be reaching out to them for backyard work when the time comes.

I cannot say enough good things about Artscape Gardens. Ben did a masterful job in translating what I had envisioned into an excellent rendering showing several options. He also provided a detailed cost breakdown which facilitated discussion and decision making. Oscar and his team worked tirelessly (it was a nightmare of a demo process) with a beautiful result. Oscar was particularly helpful in discussing various options for wood, paint and stain. On every level, this is a class A organization.

Fantastic experience with Artscape Gardens. We needed an overhaul of our front yard landscaping and irrigation. Meeting with Ben was a pleasure and he provided great ideas, was not pushy and did not try to upsell. The quote he sent was very detailed and competitive. Communication was incredible, the entire team had a group text chat and all questions were answered within minutes. Ben was always available. When the crew showed up on day 1, they informed me I had gophers! We had to put the project on hold for about 10 days while we exterminated. Several pest control companies commented how honest it was of Artscape Gardens to let us know even though it impeded their timeline of completion. I was very happy with Bens assistance figuring out plants/configuration and keeping us up to date on what was happening. The work was professional and I was made aware of leaky valves, etc. that they helped us resolve as part of the project. We have done many projects at the house and have personally had lots of issues with contractors and other home improvement professionals. This is one of the good ones! It was a pleasure and I would highly recommend.

Ben, Oscar and team recently completed our landscaping job and we couldnt be any happy with the process and result. It was one of our first, big projects as first time homeowners which I think was evident in some of the questions we asked along the way, but Ben broke everything down for us and provided context that we can learn from and save for future reference. It was a learning process for us and the fact that they were so easy to collaborate with made it a no-brainer to go with their business.As for the job itself, everything went so smoothly! We have been wanting to redo our front yard (hardscape and landscape) for a while now, and we are so happy we waited until we found Artscape Gardens. Artscape Gardens has every attribute you look for in a landscaper - knowledgeable, professional, punctual, meticulous and talented. They were very competitive in pricing, and went above and beyond to provide us with a spectacular front yard (they even provided added value items free of charge). They are the hardest working crew we have ever had the pleasure to deal with (and weve dealt with several as we renovated the entire house, inside and out). Ben responded to our texts/emails in record time (curious if he ever sleeps) and Jose and Sandro always arrived early and left late. We can honestly say that very single person on the team is a perfectionist with excellent attention to detail, and it is obvious that they take immense pride in their exceptional work. I highly recommend working with Artscape Gardens. We hired them to demo and start the revitalization process on our neglected backyard. As a first-time homeowner, there was a bit of a learning curve in terms of what was needed and what we were able to realistically accomplish within our budget, and we researched and got quotes from a few different companies in the area. Ben, Oscar, and the team were knowledgeable, fair, highly responsive (this was surprisingly not the case with many others), and customer-service oriented from the start. They didnt turn up their noses at our firm budget (which was sizable in my eyes), which also wasnt the case with other companies we explored.The team delivered a shockingly fast turnaround on our tightly scoped project. Overall, they were a pleasure to work with, and our backyard is off to a beautiful start. I would (and likely will) hire them again for our larger landscaping needs.

I contacted 5 - 6 landscape contractors to redo our front yard and after our meeting with Ben, we decided on going with Artscape Gardens. Original the plan was merely to do the front yard with new plants, new drip irrigation and replacing the concrete path with a mortared flagstone path. We added replacing our backyard lawn with drought tolerant UC Verde buffalo grass. Ben guided us by asking the right questions and gave us suggestions without being too prescriptive. We ultimately were very pleased with our new plant selection and theme. Oscar and the Artscape Gardens team were also very communicative, asked important clarifying questions during installation, and completed things faster than expected. They were very easy to work with and super friendly. All in all, we are very pleased with our new landscape and would bring Ben and Oscar back for any work in the future.

Artscape Gardens did an incredible job on a large scale backyard redesign for us, including 200 linear feet of new fencing, a pergola, a play area for kids, new sod, plus plenty of new plants and three new trees. We chose them for this project because not only did they give us one of the most cost-effective bids, they also were the most personable and responsive. We made the right choice! Working with Ben, Chapo and Oscar was a pleasure from start to finish.Ben worked with us to craft the design -- his knowledge level blew us away, as well as his ability to think creatively to meet our needs. Then a crew led by Chapo and Oscar implemented the design beautifully. They were also very accommodating when our schedule changed: we needed to go out of town for a week during the span of work and preferred that work halt during that time. We interviewed several landscape contractors and chose to work with Artscape due to Bens professionalism, timely response, and very precise proposal.Artscape lived up to our expectations after that first meeting Our previous contractor walked away from the job due to personal trauma and left us with only the hardscape completed. My husband created a beautiful landscape design and we needed someone to finish and execute his visionBen provided excellent service ordering and installing the array of plants, many exotic and challenging to source. Ben did use some of the growers my husband has worked with in the past. His team created new hillside trails and cleaned up the existing ones. The sod installation was perfect.Oscar, the foreman, was fantastic, personable, knowledgeable, communicative and a pleasure to work with along with his crew.We love our new garden as do our neighbors.

After living with our mess of a yard, we decided it was the right time to invest in creating a space that better served our family. I met with multiple designers and contractors, but was instantly impressed by Bens expertise, attention to detail and thoughtfulness when we discussed the project. We chose to work with Artscape, and they were absolutely amazing.Our job was pretty large - removing a huge tree, demoing concrete and built in planters, and building a new deck and irrigation systems for us, and extensive planting - and Ben walked us through the entire process and was incredibly patient with all of our questions, changes and ideas.Chapo, Oscar and the team did a phenomenal job and handled every single detail well. From the corners of our deck (which are perfectly lined up!) to the spacing of screws on our fence (all aligned, equally spaced, and the right color!), to setting up our new irrigation system (complete with pictures of the spaces each zone controls!) they really made a the project seamless and easy on us. As someone who is incredibly detail oriented, this made me irrationally happy. They even cleaned up the entire space (and organized the 102398123 kids toys!) on the last day and truly handed over a perfect space to us once the work was done.Ben, Oscar and Chapo also stepped up to help us handle a really unpleasant issue with a neighbor - the team showed so much grace, and we felt completely supported by them while working through the issues.I cannot recommend the Artscape team enough, and hope you work with them too!
