Had a plumbing emergency and worked with Adrien. He was great! Explained everything to us in detail before doing any work. He was very professional and solved the issue. They have reasonable pricing and a knowledgeable staff. We will for sure be using them again, and specifically asking for Adrien!
Tried to charge me $290 to open up and inspect my broken tankless water heater. When I asked him how long it will take he said 5 minutes and that it costs so much because he has the know-how.
Adrián and Jesús came and unclogged my sisters toilet in less than 10 minutes and were very polite. Great guys for sure.
Showed up on time, ordered parts efficiently and did what they needed to do to get the job done in record time. We had a deadline and they completed the job well within our requested time. Thank you!
I recently had the pleasure of working with an outstanding plumber who serviced our unit. The quality of the work was absolutely superb, demonstrating exceptional skill and attention to detail. The customer service was excellent, and the job was completed in great time. I couldnt be more satisfied with the experience!Thank you Carlos, Jesus and Helices
Hulk, Chris, Chester and Bryan figured out the problem and solved it within 10 minutes of being here. The sprinkler system now work beautifully
I contacted Ritz Plumbing to fix two of my bathroom sinks (faucet/drain). Adrian was dispatched and handled the job with professionalism and extreme flexibility when he encountered a few road blocks. I really appreciated his patience and willingness to explain what needed to be done. He certainly justified my decision to NOT attempt doing the repairs myself. I will definitely call Ritz again in the future should I have any other plumbing concerns. Thanks Adrian!!
Abel and his team at Ritz Plumbing were fantastic! They came out immediately and solved a a problem that was literally a crisis.
Adrian and Steve replaced my water sprinkler. They were very professional and increased my water pressure. I recommend Ritz plumbing.
Reckless drive on the freeway driving on the shoulder pass traffic with no care in world.Pretty sure these company needs better drivers.
Service tech arrived on time, wore covers on his boots. Fixed the dishwasher waste pipe and showed me how to do it in the future. Abel was courteous, professional and friendly. I’m very pleased with the service and will use them again!! Thank you!
The plumber, Oscar, and his crew used a tiny snake to partially open my sewer line and restore service. They charged me $350. They then tried to sell me on a $7,500 sewer line job. As soon as they left, I had another plumber come who snaked my sewer line out with an industrial snake. He said I dont need a new sewer line. Ill never call this company again!
The plumber who showed up was Oscar. This guy was great. Super kind and professional, but that’s not all. I have old plumbing from the 50’s. I tried to change the shower knobs myself but something wasn’t working right, I couldn’t close the water flow. The knobs just kept turning. Oscar is a young guy who had never worked with this type of knob before, and at first was unsure what to do. I had been trying to figure it out for the better part of a day, but this dudes research skills were just that good. He got it figured out. He totally could have told me that we need to redo the whole piping in there, because I thought I had damaged it by banging it with a hammer when trying to get the old ones out. But he persisted and made maximum effort to figure it out, and he did. Saving me hundreds of dollars. Couldn’t have been happier with the service, and the person. He was just a cool guy, very chill, calming, and effective. A+
Very happy with their work. Javier was very professional and they took care of everything for us. Thank you!
Adrian A. was great! I had a gush of water coming out of my hedge area. He cleared out the debris, and worked hard to find the source of the leak. He did! He was quick and efficient and had all the tools he needed to fix the problem. We talked while he worked and he was friendly and professional. I would hire him again for any plumbing problem.
These guys really help me out! They explained my issue and came up with a creative fix. They were super nice and I would totally recommend them. Honest and helpful too!
They dont want to work. I provided them with all the information they needed and waited for more than a month for a bid which should take couple of days.
Thanks! For completing the installation of the water heater and in a timely manner. Also requested advicement from techs on future work here. Will recommend your company to my friends and associates. !
DO NOT WORK WITH THEMWe hired them to switch out our old pedestal sink to a new pedestal sink which is a simple job that we had done before. They were here for longer than. 4.5 hours and never competed the job. They didnt bring simple equipment and had to borrow from us- simple things like a standard screw driver. The job wasnt completed and we went in to the office for them to finish the job. The manager scheduled with us to finish the job and it was a no show, and then we called to schedule again only to have another no-show.On top of it, they made an unauthorized charge on my card.Throughout the whole process, the communication and professionalism was hugely disappointing. To summarize, overall the whole experience was a culminations of small frustrations and huge frustrations. A big lesson in making sure youre careful about who you hire.
Ritz is associated with reliability, but in addition, Abel, the owner, explains what goes on beneath the surface in a way a layperson can understand. He provided poetic metaphors as well as camera footage of the decay of my ancient drainpipe. He made above ground things clear also, and was reasonable in the charges. Ive used them before and will use them again.
They did a great job, decent price and neat/tidy
Copper pipe repair done by Carlos super customer service. They responded faster of several plumbers that we had called and this took no time at all and we’re highly satisfied would highly recommend.
I am a property manager of 6 buildings in LA and Ritz Plumbing replaced one of my water heaters. They were on top of things, gave a reasonable price. Took the time to explain the process so I could inform my residents. Super professional, super courteous. I appreciated all the work they did. So of course they were the first ones I called when another water heater went out in one of my other buildings. They are quick to respond and extremely informative. I highly recommend!
Do NOT use!! They are a total rip off. They charged us thousands and thousands of dollars, and promised to pay our gardeners for having to repair the mess they made. They never paid our poor gardener. They promised us free plumbing for life, because of how overcharged we were for our services. Charged us the next time they came out. Then we were stupid enough to have them fix the hot water heater while they were here because our basement was flooded, and they have had to come back 4 times to fix a leak they created in our garage. The last time they were here they told us we were making them fix a problem they did not create. They are NOT Lucas plumbing, its too bad Chris Lucas would sell his company to Ritz. It is destroying the Lucas name, and Ritz works under the Lucas name now.Awful, awful awful. The techs who come to our home have been very nice, I do have to say that. but the Ritz company itself is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This company came to my house to unclog a sewer line. Said they could do the job but it was 350 dollars. I told them that they were trying to rip me off. Then a supervisor showed up and said he could do it for 250. I was leaving town that day so I agreed. Then I asked about the warranty while they were doing the job and they said they cant warranty the job because they think there is a crack in my pipe. These guys are crooks and the worst part is they did the work on Friday and by Monday my sewer was clogged up again. Worthless and untrustworthy. The only two words that sum up their work and the standard their company stands for. Never ever use these guys. They are rip off artists!
Scheduled replacement of Flush Valve - confirmed cost by phone twice. Arrived after the appointment window, claimed to not have the part, claimed that the entire porcelain tank had to be replaced to replace the flush valve (it doesnt), then tried to sell me a completely new toilet for $550. A flush valve is $17.95 and about 1 hr of labor, max. Nice try scam artists - no one should ever use this business.
Great service. They took care of the issue the same day. Price was fair compared to other plumbing companies I called.
I called a day ahead and made an appointment to fit my busy schedule. They gave me a two hour window but never showed. I called 10 minutes after to confirm that they are on their way. They lied to me over the phone and said he was running late, when I feel certain they got on another line and called a technician right then and there to ask if he could come out. They then told me it would be 20 minutes. One hour later I called two other plumbers and conducted regular business professionally, they still had not called. I called back and cancelled. Dont lie and BS you own customers, especially new ones. I have several multi big items to replace; but refuse to do business with people like this.
Adrian is our preferred tech at Ritz Plumbing. Hes always courteous and helpful and never leaves a mess behind. We are frequent customers of Ritz and hes now the one we request when we require service.
Tried to scam my grandma. Told her the main line was broken and she had to fix it immediately. Luckily she called me up. Turns out it was just a clogged drain in the kitchen. Brought in a second opinion, nothing wrong with her plumbing. They checked the main line with the camera. Real crooks.
I am a farmers agent that needed a plumber for a valued client. First red flag, they failed to show up for a scheduled appointment and left my client waiting all day. When they finally showed up the next day, they were asked to only install an auto shut off valve. Somehow this turned into 20k of unnecessary work performed by this company taking advantage of an elderly person who got conned into the unnecessary work. I was very angry when the client finally came into the office to tell me. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANOTHER CLIENT EVER AGAIN! ********** PLEASE BE AWARE AND VERIFY ANYTHING YOU HAVE THEM DO ***********
We hired Ritz Plumbing under the pretense it was Benedict and Benedict Plumbing, a renown plumbing company in Pasadena. After hiring this plumbing company we found out Benedict and Benedict had shut down and sold their company name to Ritz Pluming. We went ahead and allowed them to do the job anyway, a faucet replacement in our upstairs bathroom tub. The so-called plumber did not do the job properly and the pipe he worked on ended up having a leak in it. He came out and repaired it and soon thereafter discovered he did not repair the damage properly, and resulted in yet another leak, causing excessive water damage throughout. Everything in the downstair bathroom, which was directly below the upstairs bathroom, had to be replaced including drywall, wallpaper, wood floor, etc. The workmanship involved to make the restoration repairs was so substandard we had to hire contractors to again fix what they messed up. You could see the primer through the one coat of paint they put down; the wallpaper did not extend to the edge of the wall, leaving a gap exposing the drywall and eventually, just peeled off. Weve had to hire a painter, wallpaper specialist and a carpenter to re-install the moulding around the door because it was so crooked. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. Dont let this happen to you.....
Great guys! Made me safe that everything had been done correctly!
I rate Ritz Plumbing less than zero. They did work on plumbing that was not needed to be done, and on top of that charged an outrageous amount of money for unnecessary work. They charged over 15,000 dollars. Half way the job being done I realize I might be getting ripped off, then I called another plummer ( a family member) and he reassured me that I was being ripped off. Ritz plummer said we had 3 broken pipes. First they said it was one pipe broken at the front of the house than they came back the next day and said it was 3 in the back of the hose. Since it was probably more pipes for them at the back of the house for them to add to the bill for easier rip off and easier to dig because in the front they had to break through cement. Our new plummer also told us that they were also using material that was recalled and they should have never used it. What should have been a simple unclogging of the drain/sewer pipes with a snake, maybe a cost of no more than maybe 300 hundred dollars. They ended up racking up the prize to over 15,000 dollars for work that was never needed in the first place. They took advantage of the fact that we knew nothing about plumbing or the costs. DO NOT PUT YOUR TRUST ON THIS PEOPLE THEY WILL TAKE ALL YOUR MONEY WITH NO MERCY. It took me years to be able to save what they charged me so that they in one day could take it all with no conscience or mercy.
Lady on phone was nice however she asked if i had breaks in the libe as i was getting a hydrajet done on my clogged sick and washer. Told her no as i dont know. She said ok 650 flat. 3 men came out put a camera down the pipe saw a root almost at the end and told me cant do anything but still wanted 650. Rip off. No jet no 90 warrenty only at house 30 mins but still 650. They should at least cut it in 1/2. Then tech tried to get an extra 50 trip charge out of it. Never use company again.
I called them to replace a leaky pipe under the bathroom sink.I was told it was something else and I needed them to go on the roof and into the pipe with a camera which meant calling another truck and more money. The guy came @with the camera and a holes claimed there was a blockage but still charged me 350 dollars . Then to look d me to fix the problem it would cost over 1000 dollars. I decided to get another plumber to fix it. I think 350 dollars is a lot to pay for doing nothing. I dont trust them.
These guys almost ripped us off for 5,000 dollars. They were alone with my grandmother and convinced her the job would be 17,000 dollars. After asking to lower the price they went down to 15,000. I came home knowing something was suspicious so I called my cousin whos a plumber for a second opinion. It was a 10,000 dollar job TOPS. NOT ONLY THAT but we later discovered they tried using lining that was recalled and no longer Los Angeles approved. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Viktor was so nice and helpful. Highly recommend. He was just great
My buddy came to visit me from a far and made a sweet potatoe gratan in which he put the peels down my garbage disposal. Major clog. After several hours of trying to fix ourselves discovered the clog was deep in the pipes somewhere. Im glad I stopped there and looked on yelp for reputable plumbers. The first one I called got answering machine as he obviously didnt work on the weekend. Then I called Reggies number. Mind you its now 4;45 on Saturday afternoon. He picked up and was initially taken back by his friendly polite English manner. Fresh air to say the least. He only charges $89 an hour on weekends. I told him if possible Id like it to be looked at that day because I work Sundays and didnt want the headache from no sink and upset wife for the up-coming week. He said he would be over in 10 min and he was. SUPER friendly and personable and loves what he does being the biz owner. He first used a non-invasive kinetic energy tool that can disloge 50% of blocks and he can be out the door in 5 min.. That didnt work so he tried his fifty foot snake. That didnt work. So then he went back to his shop to get big bertha-75 foot motorized snake and and was happy to do it. That sorted the problem as I was getting worried that the problem was going to be way worse and expensive than I thought. BTW, he doesnt charge if he cant fix it. NO fee to travel or estimate. After All that he charged me only a hundred bucks.. I was so glad to give 120 for his ultra pro demeanor, honesty, integrity and genuine nice guyness. My plumber as long as I live around here for sure. Im glad I found him. do yourself a favor if you need a plumber and call this guy.
I called Lucas Plumbing, which I had used before and were happy with. They sent two bozos from Ritz Plumbing instead. The only two things these bozos did was give me a $7500 estimate without having looked at anything! Total rip-off!
This company said they would warranty their work, said they be out to make a repair canceled on us then rescheduled, then forgot they rescheduled so rescheduled again, and then shows up several hours after they told you they would be there…. Not a very reliable company when it comes to warranty work at least!
One of the ladies that answered the phone today is a lil KARENN
These guys came to my 95 year old mothers house and told her they needed to rip up her driveway to repair a broken sewer pipe. The pipe was not broken and was easily cleared by another company using a simple snake. I would definetely not recommend these guys.
I have used #company several times over the years. Recently they assisted with a bathroom upgrade. They are, by far, the best contract organization that I have ever worked with. They are true professionals that work to accommodate every need (outside of ...
BEWARE these people are SCAM ARTISTS.The same as people below they tried to turn a simple clogged sink into an issue with a broken pipe that needed to be replaced and to not use any water until then. When we told them we could not have them do anything, they eventually came in saying they didnt have any invoiced so would have to come back tomorrow. These people are con men.
Service was outstanding. Reynaldo and Roger were friendly, professional. Reynaldo explained everything he was doing and explained everything to me so that I understood. He gave me an estimate before he started the job. He included a discount and I thought it was a reasonable rate for the amount of time they were here and what they had to do and replace. Roger was very efficient. He replaced everything under my sink very nicely and they put paper sheets down everywhere so there was no mess. I would call them again if I needed plumbing work done.
Ritz Plumbing has an F rating with the BBB. Dont ever use this company. They may have the most experience, but this is false advertising, because they bought the company name with all the experience from someone else. The actual plumbers that come to your house barely know what theyre doing. The first thing they did when they started working was to damage the incoming water pipe which completely flooded my front yard. It was a plumbing emergency and they quoted me $6500 for a wall repair in the shower, 2 new toilets, and a sleeve on the main sewer pipe. As the city required the work be done, l signed a credit agreement under duress as l felt there were no other options. Dont ever do this, because it was a predatory loan. I paid 5200 of the original 6500. I lost my job after covid and couldnt afford the payments of 164/mo. Now l have a judgement for an additional 7100. I will pay another 100/mo for the next 6 years in order to pay it off. The 6500 job is costing me over $12,300. To top it off, the work was sub-par and not guaranteed.
I has taken weeks, tovget a receipt for your services. Which I need to be reimbursed for expenses . Instead of unclogging the sink the easy way, I had to look under the house, to try to find the clean-out drain.
I called this place, had a nasty clog on the toilet, they told me that they were gonna be there in 15 minutes, and so 13~ minutes went by and a plumber named Edward P. o Edwin P. I dont remember that much, but did a remarkable job, finished his job quicker than I expected, respected my property, hard working and disciplined (from my point of view) and the best of all it was very affordable, I recommend everyone to call here, IDK why theres bad reviews on this plumbing company, Im very satisfied, deserves a 5 Star.
The worst company in the universe. They are so unreliable and never show up when you asked him who is the manager or supervisor they said they don’t have any supervisor or manager except the order and they can only reach the owner by email. It’s unbelievable how professional and unreliable this company has been standing us up time and time again and do a lousy job
I called this company after looking on their website regarding new construction which is indicated on their website and the girl answering the phones was very rude and could not be bothered with me. Stating they dont do any new construction as I was saying the website should be update she said I will and hung up on me. So unprofessional...
I found Ritz Plumbing to be very professional, kind and trustworthy. They showed up when they said they were coming. Called me many times to make sure everything was going as planned. And made sure everything was working properly before they left.
Willi would like to say I thank you so much for your help the technicians i had was great 👍 awesome job I am gone to use this company again an I am requesting fir them to come an give me anew heater I am very satisfied good job
DISHONEST UNETHICAL COMPANY! I paid Ritz over $18,000 for extensive plumbing working and two new water heaters. A year later, still under warranty, I called Ritz to fix one of the water heaters. They said it was old and needed to be replaced. I showed them my receipt saying that it should have been replaced the year before. They had, in fact, installed a new water heater the year before, but thought I was an idiot and would pay for a new one again. I totally caught them in a lie, and they stopped returning my calls or texts. Then another year later, I had a problem with the other water heater, so I called them again (still under 3 year warranty). This time, they said the heater was flooded from heavy rain and needed to be replaced and gave me an estimate of $6500. Two other companies estimated $1500-2000, and then it turned out to be an easy fix (no need to replace) and was fixed for $400 by Fraser Plumbing (which I give 5 stars!).Ritz is a dishonest price-gouging company. They are unethical and pray on fear that any plumbing issue is an emergency that will flood and destroy your house. DO NOT USE THEM!
Excellent staff
Abel did a great job. I recommended Ritz to neighbors.
Thanks Gilbert and reynaldo got my water heater running when I could not relite my water heater on my own
They always provide me with the best work.
Don’t trust them. They give price on the phone to get customers and then when they get to the work. They double the price.
This company is very dishonest try to sell me water heater bass on apart no longer available it was just the igniter I pay 140 parts and labor . They try to charge me 16 hundred dolls rip off I would not recommend this company to nobody
Do not do business with this company. Theyre receptionist hang up in your face then lie and say they are the manager because they dont want to lose their job.
Look them up on NBC 4 on youtube. This company will rob you for thousands of dollars for unneeded repairs.Do not support this business. Call the police or channel for news to file a report against this crooked business
Don’t deal with these people, super unprofessional and will not respect you or your time. Absolute jokes.
We needed to replace two original toilets from a 1975 condo. Able from Ritz arrived the same day and made his recommendations. Two days later, he arrived with the pressure assisted flush toilets and had them installed within an hour! Couldn’t be happier with them and with Ritz!
Arrived quickly after I calledReplaced water heater and furnace and pumped out 4 inches of water from the cellar Replaced leaking sewer lineCleaned up nicely when finishedDispatcher, Monique Contreras, particularly helpful in coordinating the different crews necessary to complete the job in a timely fashion and for providing me with the necessary invoices to submit to my insurance company
They give ripoff a new meaning ! Be aware ..... they are for sure after your valet
Im grateful to Abel and his team at Ritz Plumbing. They helped us with repairing multiple unseen plumbing issues we experienced upon moving to our home, that our inspector had missed. While it is never fun to be surprised with such unfortunate findings, we are glad to have hired Ritz to do the job.
Responded same day, did a good job, price decently
I use them for a commercial property (an office tower) and they are excellent. Affordable, efficient, and professional!
The office and technicians are very prompt and professional. Will use Ritz plumbing again.
I used Ritz company today for replace section of gas line. He came on time and reassembled 6 feet tube on the wall and charged me $ 655 for that job. It is not fair and I asked some discount , but he was really rude and unprofessional He took my .advantage of my helplessness and sold me 6 feets tube very high price. I Call BBB and request to open case for that company. I didnt recommend this company.
Gustavo was very professional and helped fix the problemexpediently. Always call Ritz and they are very accomodating.
If you value your money call someone else... they suck and charge for things that do not have an issue
They told me they would be be at my house in the am...never showed. Called 5 times wasted my day and they never came.
They gave me a cost to move a hot water heater which I agreed to. The price was about what I expected. A little higher than I wanted to pay, but they did come and do the work right away, so maybe that was the trade off. The work was completed well. The hot water heater was installed properly and up to code. We had an inspector look at it and he signed off on the work.My only complaint was they came in the morning and did some work, then left and came back 3 hours later to finish up, leaving us without water. . . I know contractors do this sometimes to maximize their time, but it is a little annoying. . anyway I would definitely call them again in the future and give then first dibs on the job. . whatever job it might be. I hope I never have to call another plumber or contractor, but things go south sometimes dont they?
Company is unfamiliar with proper hiring practices, and continues to disappoint customers. Go to the lowest bidder, get the lowest quality.
A total rip off. It was like buying a used car. The job should of cost $250. but cost $4000. for a simple sewer repair. 1 guy showed up, then two, then 5. Tried to get me to spend more. The only positive things about this job was Ramon. Professional, on time and very polite. The girls in the office are nice too. Overall, I would NEVER call Ritz again no matter what. It took 2 months to get an inspector out to verify the job. This job was for my mom of 94 who died 2 weeks later. The job was on Chariton in LA. This was a set up from the get go. NEVER call these people again no matter what. A true SCAM.
WonderfulTechs.
Unprofessional and bad service. Garbage disposal was not installed correctly and caused a leak. Several calls were made with finally a promise to return call but never did.
Their promise, something on the phoneThe job looking like service
Previously know as ABplumbing they have such horrible costumer service, they hung up twice, and jennifer as well as jessica have really bad attitude, i requested service months ago and they just state that they forgot or didnt send anyone really bad experience
I had a bad experience with another company, so I called Ritz for a second opinion,. They were very detailed over the phone and in person. Noel came out to check my heater and gave me my options. He also showed me the problem so that I can understand what he was explaining to me. Very professional and detailed. They care about their customers, and not just interested in getting over on people, they give you all available options, so they saved me from spending a lot of money which wasn’t necessary because they fixed the problem in a very timely manner. I will be using them in the future
Recently had a leakage in my water heater when i walked in my garage. That is always scary any leaking yikes! I had to google a plumbing company as I had no knowledge Ritz is what popped up in my search. I was hesitant to call but I really had no choice. The guys came fast and let me know I needed my water heater replaced in my Granada hills home. Christian and Carlos came to do the job super quick, very respectful and knowledgeable guys. Everything was done efficiently and professionally. I hope not to have any issues in the future as I have a new water heater but would definitely use them again for any plumbing issues . Adding this company to my contacts list.
Was charged $16,000 to sleeve a cracked clay pipe leading out to the main line (roots growing through). Not 2 weeks later, the plumbing backs up, and ended up charging another $1000 to fix. I’ve repeatedly asked for them to send an invoice after receiving multiple calls from them, only to be threatened to be taken to collections. Unprofessional, rude, and untrustworthy.
Really friendly and nice and we used them a number of times. Unfortunately, there are just too many times when they didnt show up for multiple scheduled appointments or showed up but didnt have proper equipment to handle a backed up toilet. Would love to see these guys thrive, but they really have to work this out.
The owner an has employee who EMBEZZLES the company through their FUEL CREDIT CARD
G-d Bless Ritz plumbingNo joke I had 10 different plumbers come to my house and kept saying the same thing!! I needed a new cartridge and they were all wrong! Jose came by and diagnosed the problem by calling the manufacturer and realizing the original plumber installed it incorrectly and let me know how to go about getting it fixed! Carlos and Andres came and fixed the problem fast and cleaned up afterwards! These guys are the best in the business and they even cleaned up afterwards! Love you guys
2/6/18 As an update to this posting. For the first time since Ritz came to install a new garbage disposal, I ran the dishwasher, only to find that after the cycle finished, the water remained in the bottom of the dishwasher. I called Ritz to have them come back for the third time, now they tell me its a draining hose and it will cost 375.00. I called another plumber, the fixed the problem, the cost was $150.00. How can it happen that Ritz can come out to install a new disposal knowing it would need a draining hose in order for the dishwasher to work. How are they still in business. Please see BBB. (If there are any positive reviews on this company, it is a family member.)DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They came out to fix my garbage disposal, ended up breaking a pipe, charged me $600.00. After the technician left, it never worked properly, They were scheduled to come back to fix it but never showed. Had I seen the review on this company, I would never have called them
Ritz plumbing is a very professional Fair priced and quick service plumbing
Fast response to my urgent problem
My elderly mother suffering from cancer hired Ritz plumbing to replace her hot water heater. They replaced the hot water heater and soon after the work was completed the pilot light would go out they sent out service guys and all they would do is light the pilot light and leave no invoice on several occasions on 6/1/19 they sent two workers out and a manager who showed my son how to light the pilot light and changed a 120.00 dollars. When I made contact with the manager he stated the warranty had expired and to contact the manufacturer. Then I brought up the fact that California requires all hot water heaters strapped or anchored be cause of earthquakes all of a sudden he wanted to come out right away. Ritz plumbing needs to be shut down before someone gets killed. I called out another plumbing company they were on time and actually checked out the hot water heater and strapped the hot water heater that was Ritz plumbing should have done from the moment it was installed the are a scam and the state of California should pull their license.
Ive had the great misfortune of dealing with this highly unprofessional company for the last few months. My landlord hired them to do work in the building. They have never once been on time, they do not communicate with people who live in the units and often times they simply dont show up when they say they are going to
Dont give them your credit card number to hold an appointment time!! They charged $1200 to my card without my authorization, they did no work and gave me estimates of $4600 for work that was not needed. Found Drains unlimited in Culver City and they fixed the real problem for $110. They are fraudulent
Hulices and Jesus arrived very quickly and went above and beyond, giving me all the advice and info I needed to solve the plumbing problem in my house. Solid employees here👍.
I called this pluming company because I could not turn on the water heater that was relatively new. the person that came out and looked at the water heater told me we have to change the burner. I knew he was incorrect so I told him to I did not think that was the problem and called another pluming company and they came out and fix the heater by changing the thermal coupler. Meanwhile I was charged $120 for nothing. So I will never use them again and I do not think you should use them either.
Called their sister company, answering service wasnt listening to the problem, hung up. Called Ritz, different operator or same girl pretending to be someone different.Guys came out. Quoted me $195 to replace a part they would have to get from their shop. It was the valve that turned inside a bath faucet. They didnt have the tool to actually take it off. Tried tugging it for a while. Gave up. Fiddled with it until it looked like it stopped leaking. Still charged the $195.Two weeks later and its leaking again. Calling roter rooter or some other chain. Should have dipped when I heard it was the sister company of the one I had just hung up on.Dont use these guys or A&B Plumbing, same company.
My renter called Ritz to repair a small water leak (with my okay). A job that takes less than 30 minutes and required a part costing about $40 was billed at $350. When I objected and asked what their hourly rate was they replied that they dont have an hourly rate. I guess that makes it easier to take advantage of people. Lesson learned.
Un-professional work performed.Workers checked a water valve underneath the sidewalk in front of our house, and totally forgot to put the concrete back over the hole. Did not notice this until 9pm at night, (someone walking in the dark past our house could of had a serious injury).I made the mistake of not asking for an estimate of work performed, ($350 to replace one sprinkler valve). I paid the bill, and later found out that this was a very high price to pay for this type of service, (PLUS, it is there policy not to divulge how much was labor and how much was material... something I also consider un-professional).
We had an emergency on Sunday and Richard and Gilbert came through and helped us they were fast frie we had an emergency on Sunday and Richard and Gilbert came through and helped us they were fast On their day off even thank you
Pablo came and fixed our kitchen faucet ! He did an amazing job . Nice guy and awesome job . Best plumbing job .
GOT RIPPED OFF by this company!! They came over to my place of business theyre literally two blocks away from me and said they couldnt snake it and we needed hydrojetter-- the price was way too high so we said wed think about it-- BUT THEY STILL CHARGED $120!!! For driving 2 blocks, standing there for 5 minutes and they took $120!!! ???? Ridiculous company!! Dont use them or youll get robbed!! Another company took care of the job for 1/2 the cost and did a great job and very professional. I had to leave this review because I keep seeing the ritz plumbing trucks and they piss me off each time thinking how they STOLE $120 from me!!
The worst plubming Company ever. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLUBMING COMPANY.After the appointment was made, I had to wait 3 1/2 hours and the plubmber did not show up.For the record their plumber in the process putting snake in my bathroom sink, created whole and they did not fix the problem. After I addressed my dissatisfaction, Ray Dand, was rude and sarcastically told me that I yell with foreign accent. I must say that his abrupt style of interactions with customer who he charges is unacceptable.I will have to take them to court for the charge and the unfinished work.
These are crooked plumbers. They quoted me $3000 to fix a simple leak under my house and I agreed and they gave me the quote in writing. But an hour after they started they asked for $5000 to finish the job because they found another leak in the same location. I asked them to fix both leaks for the $3000 but they refused and we were stuck with using them because they had already dismantled some of our pipes. This is a bait and switch routine, quoting a lesser price then raising the price to finish the work. We complained to the supervisor but he said no he would not help us other than a $250 reduction. This job should have been done for about $2500 but because of Ritz Plumbing did this bait and switch we were stuck with the over inflated price of $5300. Buyer beware of this company, they are disreputable.
These guys worked really hard to get everything done...they found out where our gas leaks were and fixed them promptly...they also gave a good deal and included eveything in one good bundle
We used Ritz for 15 years and were very satisfied with them. But the owner retired and sold it about a year ago, and weve been less impressed with them since.I think we used them once after the change; we had a clogged sewer line, and they wanted to replace the whole line out to the street at great expense. I called another plumber for a second opinion, and over the phone, he suggested I do a hose test: run a garden hose down the cleanout and let it run for 15 minutes. If it didnt back up, then the line was ok from that point downwards. Sure enough, all was well. I did a second easy test that Ritz failed to do: I ran lots of water in the affected bathroom, and saw less water than expected in the cleanout. The blockage turned out to be a ball of roots right next to the house, upstream from the cleanout. You could even see it from the bidirectional cleanout. Man, am I glad I got that second opinion. But thats not all; even after they did the right fix finally, they left our yard torn up for days afterwards. I had to call them to remind them to finish the job.
BE WARNED!Ive never written reviews before but my experience was so terrible that I feel obligated to warn people about this company.I needed a plumber to install some water filtration systems I bought, and since they were coming out I asked them to take a look at a clogging issue we were having with one of our toilets. The technician, Richard (who says he is one of the managers) said it would cost $120 for him to snake the toilet which I agreed to. He proceeded to snake it and then told me that while removing some clogs he had hit a hard block and now would need to hydrojet the toilet and it would cost me $450. I wasnt happy about this but I agreed. He had to wait for another technician to show up and then the two of them proceeded to hydrojet the toilet. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, he is asking for access to under my house. After banging around down there for some time he let me know that my outgoing pipes were extremely old and were cracking in several places. He explained to me that there was raw sewage under my house. That I shouldnt so much as turn my kitchen sink on or it would dump under the house and cause further damage, and that I would need to replace all of my outgoing piping. Obviously I was extremely alarmed. He then took a video of the damage so I could see it for myself. There did seem to be damp spots under the house, and he showed a pipe with some water dripping from it so I believed him. However, the quote was for $7,500 and he said he could finish it that night (it was already 5:30pm on a Friday). The piping he was going to use was plastic so it couldnt have cost more that a couple hundred dollars -so what kind of hourly rate is that? When I let him know we would need to get more quotes he quickly dropped his price to $6,500. I let him know we were still going to need more quotes and he left our house with the water off and another warning to NOT use the water (and our water filtration system never got installed). My husband, daughter and I had to leave our house that night and stay elsewhere out of fear of causing further damage. The next day we had two different plumbing companies over to provide us quotes and one of them told us that there is absolutely nothing wrong with our outgoing lines. The second one said they are a little old but nothing is wrong with them. There was no raw sewage and no signs of leaks. He quoted us $3500 to have all of the lines replaced.I am so upset that Richard would try to con me like that. He is a thief who preys on innocent people who need help and in my opinion he belongs behind bars. He seems like a likable and capable person and Im sure he has successfully conned many people in the past. While he was at my house I overheard him on the phone with a different customer telling them that their gas lines were bad and that they would need to replace them. Obviously this is questionable.I called the company to let them know about my experience and spoke to Abraham Lopez, who says he is the general manager. I wanted to let him know about Richard and give him the opportunity to make things right. He said he would call be back in 2 hours but he never did.
Very rude unprofessional do not use this company. Employees look and dress like gang members with tattoos and sagging clothes. Would not trust them inside of my home. Read the other reviews and look for another company!!!
Really great plumbers, quality plumbing at a great price 👍
On time. Fixed the problem.
These guys were literally CONVICTED of overcharging a homeowner. Also they just tried to charge my mom $8k for something that didn’t need to do. They will cheat you out of your money. Absolute criminals (literally!!!)
It has terrible service I think thats what everyone else says
Managed to clear my line but failed to supply an invoice and was quick to offer a $6500 quote to replace the sewage line without running the camera to confirm the damage.
I wasnt thinking about the amount of over $830 just for 1 hour of service for a bathroom fixtures (2) valves! Thats it! Boy what a rip off Im never using this service again
