Our kitchen sink clogged the morning of the day we were having a dinner party. Irwin arrived for a same day service. He was courteous, pleasant and professional. He did the job and checked the rest of the sink plumbing, some of which had small leaks which he adjusted/fixed. I was very happy with the service.

Charge 315.00 to snake pipe didnt say the felt it was something else and toliet clog again 2 days later. Also left area around d toliet a mess.

Ive used them for years for all my plumbing needs. Great service and reasonable price. Until a Week ago.I called them to unstop a toilet on a Saturday morning. Three hours later Brian showed up. Unstopped the toilet quickly. Just after he left I noticed a big scratches on the bottom of the bowl. I called the office and they sent Allen out who took pictures and said it couldnt be fixed. Call the office Monday and they would take care of me.I called Monday and spoke to a manager and was told they could definitely get the scratches out. The would send someone out at my earliest convenience which was Thursday. He promised someone would be here Thursday at 9AM. Thursday came and after waiting until 1PM I called to speak to the manager again. He was in a meeting but they would take e a message.Two hours later Brian, the 1st tech that scratched toilet, called and said he would be out at 3PM on Friday to fix it. Again a no show.I called in today, Monday, the lady took a message and someone would be back with me soon. That was 11:45. Its now 2:30 and Ive heard nothing.update later in the day Monday I called and spoke with a manager. He apologized profusely. The next morning two technicians showed upat 9AM and had the scratches removed in about 10 minutes. The area manager called and left a message apologizing again and wanting to make sure I was satisfied. So I raised my rating from 1 * to 3***.because it took so long and so much trouble to get the problem resolved.

Noah replaced our hot water heater. He did a good job and explained steps along the way. He provided an estimate and there was no surprised costs when we got the invoice. Might be more $ than ordering from Home Depot with delivery and installation but he got the job done quickly and within hours we had hot water.

Richard from ROTO-ROOTER is a tremendously experienced and intelligent plumber, and he was very willing to cooperate with our stringent COVID-19 precautions. 5 stars for Richard unclogging our bathroom sink with his special skills and copious explanation as he did it. Minus 1/2 star only because the dispatcher got time of arrival wrong and the prices are higher than most local plumbers. But I have to say ROTO-ROOTER was impressive. Guy whos up who can’t even walk in a straight line. Stumbling all over the place, has to catch himself on the side of the house or the can. Simple clean out job, I have 2 clean outs making the job simple. Normally I’d do it myself but my snake broke. So in a bind I call these guys and they show up promptly. Quoted $475 for a drain cleaning. Sent him packing ! Goes down to 350 then 300 finally $250. I said no have a good day, said call me if nobody else could come. Well with myself having to go to work and 2 kids who need toilets and sinks I called him back because nobody else could come the day of. Did the cleaning for his dumb price of $250. U hate companies that nickel and dime people who need help. Normally this would be a $75 job from a reputable company !

Terrible experience with the service tech Lamont. We scheduled an appointment time to come replace our garbage disposal which in itself was expensive at almost $900.He replaced the garbage disposal and then left all the trash in the kitchen. If that was the only problem, it would have been fine. I applied for the roter rooter credit card and Lamont didn’t know how to charge it and kept asking for a different form of payment instead. We told him we wanted to use the card and get the $75 off and he said he has only 3 chances to run the card and that’s it. We gave him all the info and 3 tries later he couldn’t figure out how to run the card. Lamont left and said he would call back and run the card the next day again. I was in a business meeting and Lamont spammed my phone 5 times calling back to back as he couldn’t run the card again. Right after my meeting I contacted the company and made a payment with them directly and noticed that Lamont also did not give me my $75 off. Everything was paid and done. One week after we paid Roter rooter we again got spammed by Lamont 5 times in a row. This time leaving message that he is at our property and wants to talk. Thank god we live in a gated community and he was not able to get back into our property. We had to block Lamont’s number and if he shows up at our property will most likely have to contact the police and file a restraining order. I do not know the type of people that Roter rooter hires but this kind of harassment is unacceptable and unsafe. No employee should show up at the property AFTER everything was paid for to “talk.” Hopefully people will see what happened to us and be careful on who they hire. I will never use such an unethical company again.

Technician came on the right day and the right time. He was very helpful with the issue in the bathroom and around the house. He was also very thorough in his explanation of what needed to be done and offered other options for viewing and repair of waterways.

Chris Starks and Jeff Perez SAVED me THOUSANDS of dollars. A previous company said the job would require extensive work replacing the phalange under one toilet and quoted me $6000. When Chris arrived, however, he heard the details of the situation and deduced that it was probably merely a problem with the wax seal. It was! I even asked if we needed to replace the phalange while the toilet was already pulled and Chris said “Not if it’s in good condition.” That honesty and expertise is valued and exceptional. Jeff Perez, after doing the labor on the first toilet, even did some quick corrections on the other toilet’s handle free of charge to make it flush more strongly; really earned my loyalty as a customer. Everything was incredibly fast, easy and handled professionally. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter in Chatsworth and these amazing professionals, Chris Stark and Jeff Perez.

The kitchen sink was severely clogged due to aged pipes, and we were desperate to get it fixed after 3 other plumbers from different companies could not get it done and we were stuck with it for over 5 days. Noah got straight to the point. It took a hour to clean it and get the water going. Yay!! He was very professional and respectful of the property, even had shoe covers on, every time he would enter the house from outside. Edwin, from Roto-Rooter in Van Nuys, was on time, assessed the issue and was very straight forward about issue and its likely cause, (poorly designed cloths washer drain pipe from detached garage to sewer drain). He broke down the pricing between the pipe clearing and the fix. When I asked about the urgency of fixing the pipe due to current monetary concerns, he was hones about the risk while at the same time letting me know that the need for the fix was not urgent, as long as its addressed before too long.If this professional is a reflection of how Roto-Rooter does business, I would certainly use them again.

Yeah I used roto rooter services but this company is the worst Ive ever contacted for plumbing services and I won’t do it again nor recommend to anyone the day they show up wich was 12/23/2022 same day I called for service the tech said service was going to be 400.00 dollars I agree because I was desperate my tubs were clogged he used the snake he had to try to unclog he couldnt after like say 20 minutes of trying he gave up I suggest that why not try from the roof he said that he was not allowed to go on the roof but if do it itll be another 310.00dollars I said that was to expensive then I suggest what about a clean out spout he said that will be 3200.00 without hesitation at all I said that was out of my budget the tech suggested that they have financial plans I said no after all that talking that he could not unclog my tubs how much was he going to charge me said 250.00 for do nothing after all of this I see now all this plumbing companies want to do very easy jobs that wont take more than 15 minutes I see that they dont want to really try to fix things what you the companies is to make money as fast and easy from now on I will hire only self employee plumber THANKS TO YOU this other plumber charged me for the cleanout 350.00 dollars and unclog my 2 tubes again thanks for open my eyes to not hire companies like yours very disappointed customer.

We called Roto-Rooter for a suspected leak under the kitchen sink. Curt Kinloch came out and inspected the area and told us that although we didnt have any leaking plumbing, we should probably re-caulk the sink (the likely cause of the water that appeared after cleaning the sink with bleach). He gave us some great tips for doing so and didnt charge us anything for the service call. We have had great luck with Roto-Rooter in the past as well. Will continue to use them.
