Addition Building & Design performed a major addition to my home. What was an 1100 sq ft, 2 bdrm, one level home became a 2800 sq ft, 4 bdrm home with a walkout basement? The entire site was regarded, a garage was added and the driveway was redone. Ours is a big project of about $600,000 total and we hope to see great results at the end of the project. Mike, the owner was great to work with and explained the process all along the way. The quality of the job was as we expected it to be and I dont believe a more faithful home builder can be obtained. If I was going to do a different project, I would not think twice about using them again. Mike is incredibly responsive and compassionate.Our family will enjoy this kitchen for many years to come.I highly recommend Mike.

We hired Addition Building & Design to renovate our kitchen. Were delighted and excited at the finish product. Mike, the owner of Addition& Building & Design went above and beyond to surpass our expectations. His team which included a fantastic designer, experienced cabinet makers, tile setters, diligent electricians, and plumber worked collaboratively to build our family a custom kitchen. Raul was amazing and a man of many talents. The craftsmanship is evident in the final product. Cost was reasonable and competitive. Time frame was reasonable and consistent with building a large custom kitchen. We are incredibly happy with our elegant & custom kitchen.Thank you Mike for building our family this amazing custom kitchen. We’re going to enjoy this kitchen for many years to come.

I first discovered Mike when my daughter hired him to completely remodel her newly purchased Bel Air home. It was perfection and could have been in architecture digest. Then her in-laws used him to completely makeover their new Beverly Hills condo. Another triumph! Around that time I wanted to change my kitchen in my main house and Mike accomplished that perfectly with reconfiguring and adding cabinets and a much needed Miele refrigerator to help with the pandemic hoarding. I was beyond happy with my kitchen and still am. So it was a no brainer when I decided to make my Guest house a legal ADU. Mike attained all the necessary permits and now we are in the process of the renovation. It is all going ahead of schedule and after a few short weeks I am already picking out paint colors!!Addition Building and Design is a family business with Mike at its helm steering beautifully! I would heartily recommend Mike for any renovation from one or two rooms to an entire estate. No matter how large or small your project is, he’s your guy. Mike Ross is our first choice for contractors. He has nearly completed a home addition project of 1000 square feet including master bedroom suite, sun room and covered patio. He began with a very comprehensive professional contract, detailing every aspect of the project. That contract went through many revisions by my husband and I. Unfortunately we had experience other contractors that were dishonest and vague so we felt it necessary to have everything in writing which Mike Ross gladly provided. The workmanship of every team has been just as professional and exemplary as our personal experience with him. Mike has project managers and ours is Chris L., who is quite a gem. Day to day issues are met with the project manager however Mike follows the project closely and regularly pays site visits. He is very direct, honest and transparent. He does weekly updates on schedules and his crews work diligently to complete each phase on time. They provide a very clean work site and are sensitive to the chaos a large project presents to the homeowner. This is a top concern to the entire Addition Build and Design team. We cannot be more pleased the the outcome of our project. We are ever grateful for the personal and professional approach Mike Ross has to his company and his profession. He raises the bar for general contractors and we definitely would highly recommend him for your next home project.

I needed an addition on my small guest house and when I found Mike I knew he was who I wanted. He gave me a clear proposal outlining what he would do each week, along with the payments that would be due. Mike always came to oversee the work and always kept me informed of what was going on with the work as well as with the city. His workers are very personable, professional, and clean. In all, my experience with Mike was great. We are very happy with our new addition and in the future will be coming back to Mike for any other work. I highly reccomend him to anyone looking for an honest contractor!

We worked with Mike at Addition Building & Design to remodel our master suite which included moving some walls, relocating the laundry room and the master closet and a full master bath remodel. I cant say that everything went smoothly as things will inevitably come up with any major remodel on an old house but everything was definitely handled professionally with all the issues addressed in a timely manner and with full transparency on timing and costs. Were extremely happy with the final result... Mike was very accommodating, and the project manager Jose was professional and sympathetic to any concerns that came up. They were able to accomplish all our design goals and keep the integrity of our historic spanish style house intact matching the rest of the house. I would definitely consider using Mike again on the next big project and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to do any sort of remodel on their home.

Mike and his team of amazing professionals recently completed an addition on our home. Not only is the work exemplary and of a the highest quality, but the courteousness and consideration shown to our family during construction was unmatched.With a new baby on the way, we had a limited time frame to get the extensive second story addition done (2 additional bedrooms and a bathroom), and Mike met our (very challenging) timeline and had the work done on time despite the extra cost and difficulty it presented to him. Every person who came through our house was extremely considerate of my pregnancy and our three year old son. They were neat and unobtrusive and kind.In terms of the work itself, Mike worked hard to realize our vision and address all of our concerns. The space we had to work within to fit the new rooms was not an easy configuration and Mike made everything fit like a glove- and seamlessly! ...it fit in with our house so well that the flooring team who came in couldn’t even believe it was new construction.I would highly recommend Mike and Addition Building Design for any construction needs and we are looking forward to using them for future projects.

We are elated we chose Mike from ABD to remodel our bathroom. He is very creative with design and our budget and his recommendations were right on target. He walked us through the entire process from start to finish. When issues arose, Mike got them resolved immediately. Mike and his entire staff are personable and professional. Addition Building & Design worked on my home. They remodeled my kitchen and bathroom. We didnt know what to expect when taking on this project. Mike was so nice and he was on time to the first appointment. He spent an hour with us getting to know us and our needs for the home. We have 3 children. So when we needed a bigger kitchen and a child friendly bathroom he knew what we needed.He has so much knowledge about the latest and greatest products on the market. We have a toilet that cleans itself with the push of a button!!!! Having kids and my husband and I working full time it gets busy and we try to stay on top of chores.The kids love the heated floors in the bathroom. They actually get up and love getting ready for school because its warm in there!The kitchen is big enough now so we can cook meals with the kids without everyone steeping on each other.Thank you, Mike for changing our lives and helping us do things together as a family. We wanted to remodel our front yard along with the stairs and the garage door. So we found Addition Building & Design Inc online and we contacted them for an estimate. I must say that 4 years ago we remodeled our back yard and I was going through stress and ongoing fight with the contractors and everyone else since it took them good 5 months to finish everything which could have been done in 2 months. Anyhow, these guys from Addition Building & Design came over the following day looked around and gave us a very very good price and also I told them if there is a way to sign a contract and give us a due date when you will be done since I have had a very bad experience related to that issue in the past. They did not have a problem with a paper like that and it told me already that they are professionals and they are not fooling around with their clients and will deliver everything on time as promised.So with no hesitations we hired them and I am so happy we did. They finished everything even earlier than they promised and I am loving our front yard and our modern garage door.Thank you so much for an excellent and fast services Addition Building & Design Inc. Now we are thinking about having a balcony so we will with no questions asked call these guys again.

How about this one? A general contractor that you like at the beginning of a project and also like at the end. Our project was a new, custom 800 sq. ft. detached guest house in the garden. As it turned out, we ended up with 5 bids. One of them was from ABD. Mike Ross was great to work with.

My large remodel and addition was done by ABD. I can’t say enough good things about mike and Christine! What a wonderful family. They designed my whole project with the architect and engineer. They built the whole addition and remodeled it so it was seamless into the new structure. I was on budget the whole time. The designer helped me pick out all the finishes and keep me on track with my spending. Call them for your large project!

Mike and his team were outstanding. The doors and frames we had installed at our church property look better than they ever have before. Very nice, professional, and gifted crew.Not only did they do a great job on our doors, but they also helped us solve our flooding issues by installing a brand new drainage system on our Nursery school campus that works absolutely perfectly. We did a complete gut remodel on a 1928 house, and trusted Mike & Addition Building and Design with the project. They knocked it out of the park. Mike is a no-nonsense contractor - he was quick to come by for an estimate, and gave us very competitive pricing. We appreciated Mikes transparency as well. Unlike a lot of companies that ask you to pay $2-3k for them to draw up some plans before even giving you quotes for a scope of work, Mike had a detailed breakdown of costs in our hands for every element of the project, within a week of his visit to the property.About the job itself - Mikes core crew of builders are incredibly professional and do great work. And all the subs he uses for tile, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing and electric are top of class. We had lots of people from different trades coming and going from the property during renovations, and people from other trades would comment on the quality of the drywall work, the plaster, the tile, etc. I cant stress enough the craftsmanship these people brought to the job, and they did a gorgeous job incorporating the historical details and architecture of our house with the new modern elements. Finally, every time we had questions about any part of the process, Mike was available by phone or text to guide us through any concerns, from design to construction to permitting, and he stopped by the property at least once a week to check on the work and review progress with us. His years of experience are evident.Finally: Mikes team got this job done in record time, and when he promised us three months to completion, he came through. The project did go a little longer than initially quoted, but thats because we added a few extras onto the project after seeing what a nice job his team was doing.We wouldnt hesitate to use Addition Building & Design again - and would wholeheartedly recommend hiring them for your job. Youll be in good hands.

We had an amazing experience with Addition Building & Design! My husband is a very stubborn man and likes to do all home projects himself. While he is very handy, we had come up on some projects that were just too much for him to do himself with the limited knowledge he had so we started shopping around for contractors. After a while we came across this business and decided to give them a call to get a quote on some work. The very first thing we noted was the great customer service. We felt listened to and nobody tried to change our mind on things before even finding out what we truly wanted done. Once the work was done we found that what was promised was delivered. They were trustworthy, timely and we were able to get the work done even working on a budget. Without a doubt we were provided high quality work and we will absolutely keep them in mind if we need work done in the future. Not to mention my husband was extremely pleased with the work, which is a hard thing to accomplish!

The worst contractor ever he dont take care of his jobs he dont be workers and also the customer service against him it is wars as a contractor at it so bad with his workers good luck everyone

We were very pleased how Mikes crew took pride in tying the new room space to the existing space. Everything looks like it was built at the same time and very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It definitely pays to have a good general contractor.

Horrible Experience. Completed a project for Mike Ross in Aug 2016. Finished the project and when it came time to collect, they gave me the run around. I got transferred to multiple people in their accounting department, but couldnt get a straight answer. I am still trying to collect $1500 from these guys. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE WHO DONT PAY THEIR SUBCONTRACTORS/VENDORS!!!
