I’ve been working for Mike Diamond at the “Smell Good Plumber Headquarters” for nearly 5 years. I started off as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) now I’m a member of the dispatch team. Not only is the MD💎contact center less than 30 mins away from my home, the company perks are superb, the kitchen is ALWAYS fully stocked, each and every branch manager has worked with me molding my growth & development as a dispatcher yet my favorite part of my job is listening and helping people from all different walks of life young and aging, new and returning customers as they call requesting sometimes demanding help whether it’s a drainage, plumbing, HVAC and or electrical issues. I called Mike Diamond Services this morning after returning from several weeks of travel to find my toilet clogged. I received a prompt call, 5 minutes after my web inquiry (though I had requested contact preferred by email). Talking with the representative to schedule the service was OK. Lots of noise in the background making it difficult to hear at times. She informed me that I would be looking at a plumber arriving between 9am and 1pm same day. Though this was a large window, I had called around and most others didn’t have availability until late afternoon. I was quoted $99 for the service (others in the area were charging minimum $130). Side note: it would have been nice to receive some correspondence by email or text after the conversation so I know we’re all on the same page and if I needed anything I could just text in or reference the email (most customers like things in writing). Dominique was the plumber. He was nice and polite, donning his shoe booties for the rainy day (appreciate that!). He quickly assessed the issue and unclogged the toilet within 5 minutes of being onsite. He did, however, scratch the toilet bowl with the large device which is why I cannot give 5 stars. Comparatively, when looking online, this service was good and they got the job done. A couple details to ameliorate the experience would be worthwhile from this customer’s perspective.

They arrived on time and performed the snaking our guest toilet needed. Then he told us we needed several hundred dollars more worth of work done because the whole part in the basin was bad. We k we that couldnt be true because our usual plumber who was at another job, had recently replaced it. In the end our guy did it for $150, part included and, no, it was not the whole thing. We invited their plumber to stick around but he declined and took off as soon as my mom paid him. Never again.

Called their 800 number and it took FOREVER to get their reception to understand the issue and take my name and address. Needed urgent plumbing but the only available appointment was next day — so we agreed to a first AM appointment. Only to be called at 7:30 by the plumber saying “we don’t work on that model of water heater”. Could have saved the trouble and bad review by hiring better people on the phones. Receptionist asked about the water heater brand and I told her — if she had said “oh call someone else we can’t help you” that would have been fine. When the plumber called to inform us he wouldn’t fix the issue, he was rude when I asked “why” and told me he was a real plumber, not a receptionist and was irritated for giving free advice (the advice that they couldn’t come). Nice first (and last) impression Mike Diamond.

So they claim to be 24 hours, 7 days a week. This is sort of true. We just called and told them our main drain is clogged. Its a Sunday. However, since they cannot locate a plumber, its going to cost $260 for an emergency plumber. Wait a second, I thought you just said you couldnt locate one? So you can, just for a price.DO NOT BE FOOLED by their ads. They are just like everyone else.

The workmen were very professional and courteous. They diagnosed the problem efficiently and attempted to unclog the drain.Unfortunately, the clog was very far downstream and I was told they needed to put in an extension to the clean out under the sink in order to effectively reach the clog. $598 later, the extension was in and the clog cleared out.This same company had been here once before for the same exact problem. The plumber at that time was able to clear the stoppage without modifying the plumbing under the sink.So it seems I paid a lot of money just to make their job easier. I blame myself for not being more inquisitive as to the need for the extension given that the previous plumber from the same company was able to get the job done a lot quicker and for less money.Rated three stars in an effort to give them the benefit of any possible doubt.

A nice man named Warren came out today to try to unclog the bath tub drain. It took literally 15 mins and he was done. Problem fixed! This is my first time using this company and I would definitely use them again. Thank you, Warren for being such a pleasure and so professional!

I’m not one to write reviews but this place is such a joke I want to make sure no one gets bamboozled/robbed by these clowns.My husband and I needed a plumber to address a clogged pipe in our back house bathroom. We called them because they advertise a $99 clog special....Don’t let them fool you with that.They arrive at our property, tell us they can’t even snake it and In order to fix all problems, it would cost $5,800 to install a clean out.Thankfully we decided to shop around... and we were able to find a plumber that could do it for ...$700!Stay far and clear from these con-artist !

What a scam this company is running.I called them to inquire how much they charge by the hour to instal 2 new faucets in my existing sinks and they would not tell me how much. They want to send someone that will charge me for just coming $ 105 and if I accept the charges that plumber suggests, then they will deduct the $ 105. I will instal them myself in less than an hour.

My experience with Mike Diamond Plumbing was excellent. Victor Pena, the plumber who came out and fixed our drain was thorougly professional and pleasant. Our drain was quickly cleaned - The whole experience was good.

Ivan and Jimmy went above and beyond in repairing our slab leak, replaced all cold water lines and fixtures. Worked very late, professional and tried to keep everything clean as they worked. I would recommend Mike Diamond to my Family and Friends. Thank you for your hard work!

Not anytime / 24 hour service. I called Saturday morning and was told the earliest they can help with my toilet issue is Monday. So irritating that they do false advertising and waste peoples time. I wont be calling them again.

Jamie came out to our house. He is very professional, quick, & informative. He cleared out the hair on top of shower topper and flushed out our pipes in the kitchen. Would love to have him back in the future!

David Colindres was very knowledgeable and took great care to detail. I was very appreciative of his suggestions for my older home. My house had a number of issues with the toilet being a major problem.

Wow. After reading all these negative reviews I called my dad back and told him not to use Mike Diamond plumbers. So sad to see a great advertising campaign killed by bad service reviews. Mike Diamond plumbers better wake up. SMH.

I fine the work was OK but they are very high and slow 3Hours to change two values and pressure regulator and at the cost of 1194.00 I would never advise any body to use them

Super high priced when I called them for help. Guy came out and tried to charge me over $100 because they wouldnt give me the price over the phone. i was told not call back again in the future. They dont seem very motivated what so ever and are scamming people! Beware DONT USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!

Run! Dont walk! Dont fall for the nice advertisements. I wish I would have read these reviews before I called Mike DiamondPlummers. First off, tried to make an appointment for Sunday morning for kitchen sink being stopped up. They said they could not come out till Monday morning between 8:00 and 12::00 and would call 30 minutes before they were coming. My husband took the morning off and by 11:30, still no call. I called the main number and was told that we were on the schedule for after 2:30! SOOO frustrating! Once they finally arrived they charged for 2 drains even though they only snaked one clean out valve.Less than a week later, while I was at work, our toilet and washing machine are flooding from the same area as the first clog so my husband called them back because of the 30 day guarantee. Now they want to charge thousands of dollars! $500 plus for a camera, $300+ to replace the water/ice maker valve for the fridge. (Evidently had to move the fridge to get to something and noticed a leak) Almost $500 to clear the drain, $169 to get a discount and a visual inspection in 8 months (AKA an opportunity to find issues to over charge for) and over $2000 for hydro jetting to clean the pipes! I arrived home while the plumber was still there and when I confronted the plumber about the pricing he started defending then backing down a bit. He said he could take the extra drain charge for the first visit off and made a call to get the 1 year maintenance plan comped allowing us to still get the discount. When he came back in and explained all the updated charges, he neglected to take off the $99 from the over charge on the first visit and I had to remind him. So our $99 drain clearing wound up over a thousand dollars! Needless to say, we will find someone else to clean (Hydro jet) the drains if that really needs to be done. I just dont trust them!

$74 for them to come tell me they could not do anything about the leak. The price just to show up is too high.

Very great service, work completed in timely manner . All work was explain up front and completed professionally.

Their plumbers are polite, clean and efficient however they are EXPENSIVE. They use a fixed price quote policy and dont break down time and materials. I had to replace a hot water valve under the kitchen sink and it ended up costing $490. That included $99 just to get them to come out and estimate. The valve is available at hardware stores for $26.00. They were on the job for less than an hour.

This is the second time I have called Mike Diamond Plumbing and BOTH times now I have gotten nothing but excellent experiences! The scheduling agent was polite and professional providing me with several appointment options. Prior to my appointment today, the dispatch service called to relay a half hour window for the service visit which allowed me time to clear away the area where the plumbing problem was. My plumbing technician, David was courteous and very professional offering me a variety of service options and warranties. Quick. Efficient. Affordable. Professional. What more can I say? The specialists at Mike Diamond Plumbing are head and shoulders above the rest!

Why would I hire plumbing company who doesn’t even have proper gammar. Smh 🤦🏼‍♂️

This company use bait and switch strategy. I called the company to do clear my drain. The plumber told me it would require a big rotor rooter to clear the main drain and will cost me $595. I am looking at sewer all over my place, I have no choice but to approve the work. He cleared the drain, the next day the place is full of sewer water again. The plumber came, back and now he said he had to use high pressure water jet, and it is going to cost another $895. I refused to get it done. I have another plumber came later and he got it cleared for $85. I would rate this company zero star, but I have to give 1 star because that is the minimum rating to be able to post it.

Had an excellent experience. The technicians Nestor Floresand Jeff were very helpful. They explained everything that neededto be done and would not hesitate to use them again.

Rafael, the workman who came out to do the drain clearing, was efficient and did a thorough job cleaning the pipes. He offered more extensive services, but I thought what he did was sufficient for my needs. He also explained that I may need a clear-out pipe located in the front of my home at some time in the future. I appreciated his attention to detail, and the fact that he provided the services I had originally requested at a reasonable price.

Quoted my employee $650 then charged us $675 without approval charged us an extra $25 for nothing. I hope its worth the negative feedback. That is called stealing. You should charge exactly what you quote!!!

I dont take ever to the internet to write reviews, but the sheer incompetence of this service (or lack thereof) baffled me. After sitting home for an entire day because I was given a FIVE hour wait window, the Mike Diamond technician entirely flaked. I could not speak less of this alleged business, and would suggest looking elsewhere before you even pick up your phone to call.

Theyre good, just not perfect. Ive used Mike Diamond Plumbers before and their work was excellent. This time no one showed up on the date of the appointment. I called back and they apologized and we rescheduled for two days later. This time they showed up, did a great job, and charged me a fair rate for good work. I give them 3 of 5 stars only because they didnt make the first appointment or even call to inform me. Otherwise, I would give todays service a 5 out of 5.

BEWARE: My experience absolutely felt like a bait and switch situation. $99 drain cleaning magically became $198 despite the scheduler asking what floor my tenants unit was on. What kitchen drain in an apartment on the 2nd floor has a clean out? Needless to say, I was very upset with this business tactic and expressed my displeasure with the company to the technician. Since I had waited hours for Mike Diamonds people to show up and my tenant was expecting the problem to be handled, I had little choice but to proceed. Technician seemed to take my displeasure with their policy as a personal insult (which is unprofessional on his behalf in my opinion). I had to basically soothe his ego and say I wasnt annoyed with his companys policy to have him proceed which is highly ironic. After the service I expressed my displeasure with mybexperience on Mike Diamonds contact us web page. It was followed with a harassing number (5 in less than 24 hours) of calls (maybe they were worried I would let other landlords and property owners know of my experience). I finally called back and spoke to their person who handles dissatisfied customers. Rather than handling the problem, he was argumentative and accused me of cursing out the employee. Never happened and I let him know I had two employees resurfacing the balcony who witnessed my conversation with their technician and were both in earshot. He insisted that I had cursed his worker out despite my telling him I had not and that I had witnesses. He said it didnt matter and that he would refund 1/2 my payment to make me happy. I told him at that point him accusing me of something I hadnt done made the refund a moot point and that I would make my experience known on sites like this. Since he was trying to bully and talk over me and refused to let me speak with a supervisor (he said he was the only person that could help me) and then he started laughing at me, I hung up on him. He immediately called back and said he was the only person who could help me and continued to try to talk over me. I told him to keep his $99 as it wasnt worth it to me based on the TERRIBLE CUSTOMER TREATMENT from him, a customer service representative. This is my 1st and last experience with Mike Diamond. My experience was awful and my contact with their representative felt like I was dealing with a thug. There are Bubbas at Mike Diamond.

STAY FAR AWAY!!!!! They swindled my elderly Aunt out of $15k for work she didnt need. I have attempted to call them several times and have yet to receive a call back from the person who conducted the work. I did speak with Carlos (twice) and he assured me that someone would call me back..never did! I even requested that they send me an email with the work requisition - have yet to receive it. They are an abusive and irresponsible company and would never allow them to work on my property. Shame on them!!

They are the best do not call someone else go for the best and fast

On Jan 30, a pipe busted under guest bathroom sink, I called Mike Diamond and Robert 8287 came out. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it! Hes awesome, and very professional! I called him yesterday, 2/26, because the main bathroom sink pipe sprung a leak, and again, Robert was VERY professional and got the job done! GREAT service, GREAT company! THANK YOU!!!

Be careful with these guys! Called them to drain a kitchen sink and when they got there, the issue was with the garbage disposal. It was mom MOM who stuck her hand in to clear it and the worker did absolutely nothing. No tools, no work. Then slapped her with a bill for $156. This is crazy. Not only is it more than the the $99 but he did NO WORK. When he left and said keep you money he the added dont call us again. We wont, but Perhaps no one else should either

This company doesnt deserve the one star Im forced to give. I called on a Saturday because our shower drained was clogged. The soonest they could send someone out was the next day, Sunday. We SCHEDULED an appointment between 9am and 1pm. When I called at 11am on the appointment day to check on the ETA, I was told that the ONE technician they had was at a big job and we cant get a hold of him. Fine, I waited the duration of my scheduled window. Still no plumber. At 4pm, after I had to call again because they lack the courtesy and professionalism to call me to say that they wont make their scheduled time, I was told that they still cant get a hold of the plumber and that there were two other clients that needed to be taken care of as well. The representative also said ... If he can make it today. I asked if they could please contact the client that the plumber was supposedly working with at the moment since they claimed they couldnt get a hold of him (youd think they would be concerned for his well being after not hearing from him for 7 hours)in order to find out how much longer he would be. They refused. Whats the point of scheduling an appointment if you cant fulfill your obligations? Rescue Rooter to save the day. They were here within an hour and a half of my call! Save yourself a ruined day and call Rescue Rooter. Or ANYONE other than Mike Diamond.

Probably the worst experience Ive had so far with a company. The tech was late. He had no idea what he was coming fir although i had provided that info to them. They told me there would be no service charge to give me an estimate and he tried to charge me. Then he proceeded me outrageous prices to do the job 780 dollars to change out a toilet for new one. He wasn’t clean and neat like commercial said he was argumentative the whole time. When i called their office the manager was just as rude. Terrible. I wanted to use this company cause their commercials made it sound like they where clean professional and quoted fair prices this was none of that.

After returning from vacation (late) I turned on my water to the house and the upstairs the water supply to the toilet burst. I called Mike Diamond that night and they came out in the morning. Edgar 8276 was my technician. He explained why it exploded and did an inspection of all the hoses in the hours. I replaced not only the water supply but the hoses to my washing machine ... then, oh by the way, I might as well get a new garbage disposal (which I was planning to do anyway). Edgar was very nice, pleasant and professional … in addition, he knew his stuff! I recommend requesting Edgar and his service if you live in the Long Beach/Cerritos/Downey area.

The plumber arrived quickly, resolved the problem and communicated well. Since this is a rental and Im not there to oversee, I rely on effective communication and professionalism. This is exactly what I received.

They were great the second time.

This company over charge! We paid $1350 for 45 min under sink shut off valve replacement. Yes. We could’ve elect not to have them do the job but we were from out of town to fix the plumbing problem for our tenants. We were in a hurry to get it done. Save yourself trouble of having to get another quote and pay them trip charge on top of that.

Told me they would be at my house from 1-5pm and did not show. Called and someone by the name of Luis sounded all flustered and reschedule at 10am the next day. No show. Would NOT Recommend Mike Diamond. Very unprofessional.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Not only did they come out and find more issues that were non issues before, but the plumber somehow made the one small problem I called about 10 times worse and then left when the sinks were visibly backed up. He tried to say it was a pipe issue and that it would eventually drain. Here I am 8 hours later with dirty water still backed up in the sinks when they were at least draining before he came, just very slowly. He charged $400 to snake another drain and tried to upsell us on practically everything else that we didnt ask about. He also asked for my snapchat info which felt completely inappropriate.

Fast and efficient service. My problem was handled well. Plumbers were friendly and knew there job.

I called Mike Diamond Plumbing after hearing their ads on the radio clearing drains for $99. I had a clogged kitchen drain that required snaking twice a year. My first impression of their plumber was not good. He used a hand power snake and poked a hole in the clog. The water drained but it was still slow. There was a heavy up-sale pitch. The plumber wanted to re-pipe under my kitchen counter with brass at $700. He gave me a quote for jet cleaning which was $700. Their plumber dragged a steel wheeled jetter pump through my house over hardwood floors leaking water from my front door to the kitchen. The plumber said I would have to do both to get a guarantee. When he reassembled the trap under the sink he left the pipes so the lateral pipes went uphill. He left greasy, dirty handprints all over the pipes and around the cabinets.I called another rooter service that was highly rated on Angies List and had excellent results. I would never call Mike Diamond again.

I discovered that I had no hot water. I attempted to lite the pilot but it would not stay lit. I called for an appointment and was told someone would be out between 8-1 the following day. Later that day I received a call requesting to reschedule it for between 1-5 and I agreed to this. The next day, at 1:45 pm I received a call that the person scheduled to come out was not trained in water heaters and they could send someone out the following day. Needless to say, I cancelled the appointment and will never do business with them in the future.

The worker was friendly and got it done fast. 10/10 :]

Be sure to get an estimate before you let them begin work. Their prices are way out of line.

$1751.47 to install the water pressure regulator. Plus $893.81 to repair the leak in the tilet tank, $628.22 to repair the sprinker valves, etc... Very very expensive.
