A long-overdue review In February 2023, I reached out to three certified bathroom remodel contractors found on Google, and Redo My Bath was one of them. Within 1-2 weeks, Oscar, the owner, provided his bid, which exceeded $40,000, covering only labor and installation. My initial inclination was towards the second bid. Unfortunately, the selected contractor lacked insurance, prompting me to award the job to Redo My Bath.I want to preface my remarks by stating that I have worked with 6-8 remodel contractors in my lifetime. Now, lets delve into the specifics.Professionalism/Work Knowledge (0-10 scale): Out of the four sub-contractors, only the tile guy and plumber demonstrated professionalism, albeit with consistent tardiness and occasional absences, prolonging the project beyond the estimated timeframe. Oscar, lacking past work experience, outsources jobs to others or his fathers employees. Its crucial to be aware of this when working with Redo My Bath. From the outset, Oscar exhibited a determination to make extra money through change orders, lack of transparency, and difficulty in communication.Score: 3Work Product: While the tile work was commendable initially, issues arose around six months in, with cracks appearing in the drywall and tile grout (refer to attached pictures). Upon notifying Redo My Bath, Oscar hastily attributed the damages to the settling of the house foundation or a recent earthquake. Interestingly, no other cracks or damages were evident anywhere else in my house, inside or outside. A reputable contractor should rectify and address such issues promptly. This was a major failure.Score: 3Final Walkthrough/Job Completion: The jobsite was left in an extremely untidy state; my garage was a mess (see pictures), and the bathroom windows were not cleaned, covered in sludge.Score: 1Overall: In my honest opinion, opt for a contractor that may charge slightly more but possesses work experience, honesty, and a commitment to going the extra mile—qualities lacking in Redo My Bath.
I hired these guys for updating my master bath. Their quality of work and support after the construction is very poor. The glass shower enclosure is loose. The shower door handle is loose. I asked for gold hardware but they installed cheap bronze materials. I contacted them to come and take a look but they never sent anyone. Do not recommend!
The Redo My Bath team just finished our complete master bath remodel and were super happy. Our experience started with design where Oscar worked with us in every aspect of the design and never complained or rushed us when we changed our minds.A couple of time we wanted to make changes in the design after the project was underway and while this is never optimum, Oscar and his team went above and beyond to make sure that this process exceeded our expectations. The level of communication, customer focus and quality of the project were outstanding. The team was always checking in to make sure we were happy with what we saw and it was obvious that they really cared about us, our bathroom and making sure we had a great experience. If you want the best that Los Angeles has to offer in bathroom. I have NO hesitation in recommending Redo My Bath.
Redo My Bath delivers on their promise, they are quick, affordable, and clean and the work is exceptional. From the beginning the process was smooth. From the very start, we felt comfortable that Oscar and team would deliver an exceptional product and we were right. From picking out the materials to the finish everything was well planned. I highly recommend working with them.
