The Container Store

I sincerely hope that I get a survey sent to me too so I can say twice just how amazing the people at this container store are. Isabella went ABOVE and beyond for myself and my husband and really made our holiday season. David and Adriana were also wonderful and so beyond helpful. We left with everything we needed and huge smiles on our faces. I don’t know how they stay so zen and glorious at the most stressful time of the year but they all deserve raises!

Easy to order and pick up at the store. But, they really need to work on their curbside pickup location!! It’s not safe to park next to the curb—it’s mostly all red, and there are a lot of cars, trying to make a right on the corner of the store.

Drove 30 minutes to pick up two clothing racks that I ordered online. When I got home I realized they forgot a part. I now have to drive 2 hours roundtrip in total, to remedy their mistake.

Found things that were not containers. did not feel like a safe space

Located in downtown Pasadena, the container store offers a huge variety of boxes, bags, and other assorted gizmos for storage. The staff is friendly and helpful. Some of the prices are a bit high considering that most of the time you’re just buying a box. Parking is across the street and unfortunately cost six dollars flat rate.

Beautiful store, vast array of items to choose from. Just like everything else, prices have sky rocketed during and post pandemic. Items that were $5 are now $1Some items / prices are just outrageous and would never pay them even if I had had the money.Now I only purchase exactly what I need. Nothing more. Used to have discretionary income. No more.

I went to pick up an order curbside this past 4/20/23 around 3:45p. I called the store to let them know that I was going to be at the curb in 5min and if they could please get the order ready to bring it outside. I got there and I was waiting in the car for about 15min when I decided to just go inside because not only was a very hot day but because I picked up another order in the past and I had to wait in my car for to long but that was in the winter so the weather wasnt bad. I kind of had a feeling this pick up will be similar, waiting to long... I decided to go in the store and there literally no customers but 3 employees by the registers just talking to each other. When I walked in I said, I came in because I had a feeling no-one was bringing the order outside anytime soon, what is the purpose of the curbside if it is just better and quicker to walk in and grab it even if there is a short line.

Michelle and Pauline at the Costa Mesa Container store were exactly the perfect pairing for my husband and me. Picking out anything for the home with the husband can be challenging, but even HE responded well throughout the whole process, and I praise Michelle and Pauline for that outcome. The Dolly service was so helpful and the gentleman who delivered was very accommodating. Our installer was very patient, professional and generous with answers to all the questions my husband had. I would definitely do whatever you can to keep and appreciate all the associates I came in contact with - they are wonderful!

Love this store for all different types of containers to make home organization very easy.

For a container store, they’re really good at thinking outside the box.

This was my first time purchasing something from The Container Store, and I was impressed by the level of service. I needed a very specific box to fit a very specific device that I use for work. Bart helped me check for inventory and even offered to waive shipping to my house since it seemed to be out of stock. As I waited in line to place the order, he kept searching for (and found) the item I was looking for and delivered it to me. Ill definitely be a repeat customer!

Just love my new closet!!! It was easy to install, all parts were included and the quality is great! I had a great experience organizing and my husband had an easy and straight forward instructions, it was a weekend project that I loved and I am really enjoying my new closet! Thank you!❤️

I ordered online from the container store 18 days ago. I received one part of my order 11 days later. Still waiting for the other 4 parts. I wonder if I’ll get them before next year.UPDATE: day 21 and the items arrived! I’m happy with the items, and when I reached out to the container store via email Danielle worked hard to provide updates and ensure I would be a happy customer. I still would hesitate to order online from them, but if I was ever in the area I would be happy to shop in person.

I took my wife here for a little adventure over to Pasadena. The Container store had a variety of items and gave her ideas for the future. Also there are many restaurants in the area so fun and food makes for a good day.

Honestly whats not to like about the container store? They have every imaginable item for organizing your life, including things you didnt know you need and will wonder how you lived without!! Im obviously exaggerating, but only slightly, The Container Store does a great job of finding the most innovative products and offering them for sale all under one roof. The majority of Container Store location are rather large and this location in Pasadena is definitely no different. There are 2 floors at this location, both of which are filled wall to wall with products. With so many items to choose from retail stores of that size can sometimes be disorganized and overwhelming, but this is The Container Store, they sell products for organizing and as one would expect the stores are beautifully organized as well. They also believe in top notch customer service, when in need an employee is always easy to find and happy to help. The most important thing you probably need to know about the Pasadena location is where to park, unfortunately this is the only slight downside to this location. The store is located on the corner of Union and Fair Oaks, the two closest parking structures are located on Union, one of which is directly across from The Container Store. Heres the slight downside, Union is unfortunately a one-way street, and this really only becomes an issue depending on what direction youre coming from, your time of travel and the day of the week. You might have to make a couple extra turns to enter the parking structures depending on where youre coming from and extra turns or not Old Town Pasadena can become swamped with traffic depending on the time and day of the week. If youre unfamiliar with the area I would suggest enabling your GPS to direct you to the closest parking structure and not the store itself. Theres also a valet located on Union just steps from the entrance to the store, but why waste your money when it could be better spent on a wall mounted magnetic pencil holder cup!

Unfortunately, upon my visit to the store, I found that they did not have the items I intended to purchase. I had checked the online inventory beforehand to ensure there would be sufficient quantity available. Regrettably, this resulted in a waste of my time.

Best store for anything and everything to get and keep organized

Love the container store, love everything about the container store with one exception. I went in today to look for wrapping paper because I love the high quality paper with the unique designs that I cant find at other stores but today there was almost none! There were maybe a dozen rolls of paper all mismatched in a clearance style heap and they werent great. When I asked the guys working there they said that they *think* theyll have some by the holidays. So, dear product buyers for the container store, at the holidays everyone and their mother has wrapping paper for sale. In May, we need somewhere to buy nice paper that doesnt smell like old lady the way the Hallmark store does. Just saying.

Very organized and pretty. This store has a special place in my heart because, by all means, a container store really should be the blandest, most boring shops of all. Its huge and full of things I didnt know I wanted. Only issue is that the stuff is a bit pricey. Nice things they may be, I find the for for a cheaper price online.

Super helpful staff. It was a busy day when I called in looking for some specific items and David went above and beyond for me. I had to travel from Hacienda Heights and he was kind enough to pull the items to the front so that it would be waiting for me. The supplies he pulled are helping me save my grandparents wedding attire from falling apart until we can find some way to properly restore them. This was a huge win for my parents and uncles on a very emotionally challenging day.

This place is odd. Its a store that sells plastic boxes. Thats basically it.The amount of unsustainable products kind of make me sick. Just loads of plastic. You can see how it will break one day too.The other side, they do offer metal items and hardware items that are helpful. But you can still find prices better even on amazon or Walmart.I find it best to go here for inspiration and then spend money someplace else.

So many choices, and if you really want a one-stop shop for organizing, this is a great option for you. This location had two stories and lots of choices. Parking was a bit of a challenge, and I wish the store would validate. I did get a few things to help me get more organized. Ill be back!

This location has an immense amount of products under its roof. Anyone searching for supplies ranging from college oriented or for setting up an office or even just organizing their home can have their needs met. The store is two floors, and is wheelchair accessible thanks to two elevators. Rating a 4 because of mediocre customer service.

What great store... they have everything that you can think off to be organize. I came here to look for a divider carrier for my truck. I never thought it exists but it does. The woman you helped me (i forgot her name) was very helpful. She knows exactly what i was looking for. Thank you... also the store was nice and clean and organize. It was easy to find things that youre lookkng for. I enjoy ed the entire store.

Everything you need to get organized.

Well, The Container Store is great, BUT, their sale ads are a little misleading in what us actually for sale with an extra discount. For example, the stocking stuffers looked like they were all 20 percent off, which I thought was great, until the cashier told me that I needed to spend at least $75. Well, that did not work for me and I left the store very disappointed.

Their online (build your closet) tool needs a lot of work. Also we ordered a specific style of the Elfa system to be shipped to us and recieved something else entirely at our doorstep. And what we did receive was broken via transit. Not ideal when spending $1,500 on a product.

Just received my order from online purchase. Really gave me a shot theres no protection in all 3 big packages that 1/3 of the IRIS storage boxes were damaged. I stillI give this brand 2 stars for the fast shipping but never consider to purchase again.

Great Selection and helpful staffThe store is big and has everything in the catalog. The service was great, and the store was clean and tidy. The parking can be confusing, but follow the signs and be sure to remember which floor you parked on.

David was extremely helpful helping us do an exchange and made sure we had all the parts we needed. Valet parking attendant was patient with our little RV situation. Great shopping experience.

Small but gets the job done. No parking, and curbside pickup isn’t very good. You can valet for $2, highly recommend. Wish I knew that before I looked for street parking farther away.

If youre looking for a container and I mean, any kind of container. This is the place to go as well as other items for the house. Which are very creative and hard to find. There are two levels to shop.

I havent been to many different locations for Container Store but this one is disappointing. It looks big, as it is two stories, but there is minimal selection for storage and it is over priced compared to online sites, such as Amazon. If I didnt need to buy something right then, I probably would have gone elsewhere.

It was a great experience. The variety of containers is huge and fantastic. Besides, customer service was amazing. Alexa and Isabel helped me a lot. ♥️

No accommodations will be given for people who are challenged or have any sort of handicapped they do not care and nor will they tolerate it completely rude and unsympathetic I will never shop here again. They were more pleased with the idea that I take my Business elsewhere then shop in their store so they wouldn’t be bothered with my accommodations that were requested....

Lots of stuff to look through. Elfa is on sale until end of 2/18. Parking is the ugly part of shopping in this location. I still like it, great store.

Made an appointment online for 10 AM a few days before. When we arrived we were told that they do not have appointments at 10 and that we would have to wait for the designer to arrive at 11. She was late and arrived at almost 11:30. She was in such a rush to build our closet that she made multiple mistakes and had us buy almost $200 dollars worth of items that were not needed. The plans didn’t make sense. Luckily we were able to figure the issues out and fix them. Also, when we went to pick up our order, items were missing. We had to drive 75 miles back to the store to get them. We have done business at multiple locations without any issues. I feel like this store was the issue. I will just drive to Costa Mesa next time. Not The Container Store’s best.

To let the manager of the Container Store in Pasadena knows that Pantagonia store accrossed the street pointed its customers to use your restroom. Shame on the Pantagonia store!

Street parking is available. You can park at one of the many public parking lots in Old Pasadena and walk there on foot easily. The store has two levels and they are both packed with any kind of storage container or space saver type device you can think of. Everything is pretty well organized but they seemed a little short-staffed. They also seem to be out of bags because we had a small item and received a very very large bag to carry it in. They do have shopping carts in the store so its easy to load up on everything you need from kitchen gadgets to travel items to office organizational supplies.

We love our Elfa closet system! Nona helped us find the right design that fit our budget, going through several revisions until we came up with the right one for us. Nona is the BEST!

I have been in the Pasadena store quite a bit lately, setting up my apartment. The staff have always been very patient and helpful. One day I wanted a particular item I saw on the floor, but was told it wasnt for sale because it was a display item. And the similar ones they had in stock were not the right color. Finally the staff helped us to order it at the store and have it delivered to our home. This solved the problem and now we have the beautiful item in our home. Thank you!

TO THE PASADENA THE CONTAINER STORE CUSTOMERS:I wish I could rate them minus zero. It looks like the City of Pasadena Parking enforcement have a BUSINESS going on at the corner where The Container Store is. They know that there are only two spots to park when online pick up orders are placed; this UNETHICAL Officers wait (Seconds) for you to stop while the car in front of you is moving away so you can park on that spot. In top of that they do not give you the citation BUT send you a notice indicating a DRIVE AWAY NOTICE when you have NOT driven away. My suggestion; do not EVER GO TO THE CONTAINER STORE IN PASADENA; when possible instead, order on line for delivery (The employees are aware of this problem and still insist that you park on one of the two spots outside the store) and do not make a living for this opportunistic unprofessional city employees; park at a safe spot as this officers make their living out of your needs for parking.

I was ordering some more items for my Elfa shelving system. Matt was very helpful, customer service is always so good. Rachel was a great help to us when we came in yesterday to get some ideas. Love the Container Store. I also got 15% off on my order which really helps in this time of economic uncertainty.

A good designer store with lots of valuable multi-purpose storage containers and drawers for closets, kitchen and bathroom, and some best clothes drying racks. The only inconvenience it has no free parking space but the Valet service at $5 with purchase validation.

Curbside ordering with this store in particular is such a pain and unnecessarily complicated.

Staff and store are fine, but the location itself makes absolutely no sense. Why position your store where you are more than likely to have bigger difficult to carry items to where parking is difficult and paid. It would be like place a drive through in the middle of a city center where cars are prohibited l.

One year after installation, a piece of the metal fell off the closet and to my surprise, this part was installed using double sided tape. For a $10k custom closet, this workmanship is beyond unprofessional. So disappointed in The Container Store.

Every staff member I talked to was super. But the stores selection of items just wasnt there or maybe I just wasnt as wowed by all the cool stuff as much as I had been in the past. Still I wouldnt want to lose the ability to shop there.

I love this place. Great staff, so many ideas. My only complaint is that so many items were not marked, I had to take them up and check the price at the registrar. The staff was very kind about my go backs, but I woukd have preferred to see the items price

Coolest. Store. Ever. I wish they had more rolling/underbed style options and purse hangars. Like the large closet curved ones that preserve the strap shape. But this place had literally everything else I needed. Redid a whole closet for under $100! (Coat closet but still!)

I had a bad customer experience regarding a defective or rather poorly designed product I purchased from this location. I first spoke with a manager on the phone who gave me an unhealthy dose of skepticism and attitude and then was met with indifference from the store manager.I have purchased around $500 worth of merchandise from this location over the last couple of years, but I guess that doesnt factor considering how rude the management at this location is.

Terrible location, why is there no parking. I repeat why is there no parking. You can park in the red and get a ticket or pay 11 dollars for parking. Thanks for nothing.

Big store with lots of inventory. Some products are a little spendier but are usually really well made and high quality. I got an Intermetro shelf system to go in a closet, and am really happy with it. The shelves are durable, flexible and come in a variety of configurations. I also love the Prokeeper storage for sugar,, flour,, etc. It seems like theres often only one cashier on duty. Hopefully you wont get stuck behind someone with a lot of items in their cart.Old Town Pasadena parking is a nightmare. If you can come earlier on a weekend morning, you may find a meter spot on the street nearby. If not, head to a city-owned garage. The private parking garages seem to all start at a rate of $6 minimum, no matter how quickly youre in and out.

I like this store and all they sell, but its so expensive! Ive purchased a desk here, and the occasional organizational item, and honestly I love them all. The online pickup is pretty good too, although finding a nearby spot to park your car can be difficult (I was picking up a desk when 7 months pregnant.) I just wish things were a little less pricey generally speaking.

I went with my mom, we were out shopping for Xmas gift ideas. Also I bought 5 clothing storage bags which I was looking for with a long black and small window. It wonderful place to keep things in Organize at our home.

Cant believe how overpriced this store is. I went in planning to buy a lot of stuff for my office organization. I ended up just buying the items I needed for that day, because there prices are so high, just for a plastic box or tray. Anything you can find here you can find at staples, target or online. Many items are located in several spots on an isle and some arent priced, so makes figuring out the price confusing. I dont see any reason to ever go back here. No bulk discounts, nothing.

Really great selection of containers. The staff was fairly friendly, though we only spoke to one once. In this location my only real complaint would be that for some reason the first floor smelt much like a gym near the center towards the north wall. Both I and my girlfriend noticed the smell throughout the majority of the first floor. This prompted us to move to the upstairs and spend most of our shopping trip there.

I would say focus on one room at a time!If its your first time shopping here, sign up for their newsletter online and youll automatically get a 10% coupon in your email. The coupons always come around for this store, so make sure to have one! Every little discount counts!This place had two levels with tons and tons of stuff. You can always shop online and pick it up at the store with no cost if youre short on time.Parking is a pain here on the street, I almost got a parking ticket for being a minute late! I would recommend parking in the lots if youre going to do some serious shopping in Old Town Pasadena. It is usually free the first 90mins. Enjoy!

They have every kind of container invented, but is a little pricey.

This is a store full of expensive things that are fun to look at, if you like organization-type items. The store is reasonably laid out, and you could probably find whatever you needed (just maybe for more than you wanted to spend). The aisle of wrapping paper has some beautiful options, and there is also an aisle of gift containers.I have used their shelving system (self installation) and appreciate the flexibility to alter the design as the closet needs change. You may be able to reconfigure using entirely existing parts, but if you need a small piece (shelf, bracket, endcap, etc.) you can go back and buy just that.

I was working on a project that required me to use an obscurely sized box that I didn’t have laying around so I decided to skip the process of tireless searching all over LA and just go here and buy it. The Container Store is awesome, they have just about every shape and size storage apparatus you can imagine. Friendly staff make shopping here a breeze.

Have stuff you need to arrange into containers? Come here and find every shape and size to get the organizing done. Staff are helpful and the store is big.

The store is very nice itself and has a great number of selections. Parking at times become a problem however. The staff is nice as well.

This location is COVID-19 compliant. Clean and organized. The staff is professional and attentative. The cashier clerk, Katherine, was super-friendly, attentative and assisted me with certain product searches. There is a covered parking lot across from this store on Green/Union. They do not validate parking.

Its a one stop shop for any kind of container. They also have large and small forms of storage for closets and offices. Its a wonderful place. So much variety and the employees are extremely helpful and know what they are talking about.

Fulfills anyone’s OCD itch

The Container Store is a bit pricey on some items, what is a great place to browse things that youll probably wind up buying online. Download a barcode scanner app before coming here. There is no nearby free parking, but there is metered parking if you can find a spot, or a parking structure across the street that is reasonably priced.

They have a nice selection of items, however some things are more than I can afford. In addition I prefer to purchase items made in the USA.

I think customer service could be a little bit better and parking is not the greatest but the Elfa closet system they have is the best!

Wow I do really like this place! Type A haven although organized by someone with ADHD. Ive found salespersons and curbside pickup nice. Parking across the street Union. You have to pay for parking although I was told ticket can be validated for $2.50 and a purchase. I would take Gold line Memorial Park Metro except I need to drive to take stuff home.

Love love love this. Store. I live in lancaster California and i drive to this store so i can look around in peace ( i have 4 kids at home) and take my time. Yes, i shop online too but nothing beats friendly staff and a well organized always stocked store!!! PLEASE PLEASE build a store in the antelope valley ( palmdale/lancaster area) you would make a killing!!!!!

Store is over priced. very clean and nice. people are great. selection was not as good as i expected.

Found what we have been looking for with the help of the staff. They even loaded it in our truck for us. Love this place.

Very big 2 story store.

It is clean but really it is a two story store that only carries different ways to hold things. How this place is still around confuses me.

Clean, lots of choices. Cheap as well as inexpensive.

My wife and I always come here for organization stuff, because it is easy to find what we need quickly and they have great customer service. The only downside here are their bathrooms which they dont keep very clean.

Placed an order for drop front shoe boxes on March 8 2017, I was scheduled to pick them up on March 16 2017. They called to say I was rescheduled to pick them up on 23rd. When March 23rd came I was called again to say that my boxes had not come, and that I was rescheduled to pick them up on April 6th 2017. Seeing this repeated pattern I asked for a refund-hopefully that too doesnt take a month to receive! Shi*tiest service ever. I dont recommend buying drop front shoe boxes... if you dont spend 50$+ like they recommend for the 6 Shoe Boxes they will always prioritize others before you.

Smaller, more cluttered than other stores and harder to park (although there is Valet) but the same great, friendly, service and huge selection of items that characterizes this company.

They have practically everything in container land but their stock and price labels could use some work. I had a hard time knowing the cost of half my stuff because it wasnt labeled.

For the people that want to be organized this is your store!

The worst customer service and installation EVER!!!!We purchased a $3000 Elfa closet system right after the holidays. Today was the scheduled install. The installer arrived 2 hours late (at 10:30 am). At 5 pm he hadnt finished. He left us with our clothes all over our bedroom, dust all over our clothes, and no plan for completion.We were told at the time we purchased the system that the installer would remove old system, spackle and paint walls, then install new system. We expected a pair of installers. Only one guy arrived. After about 1.5 hours of removing the old system he cut his finger and needed a band-aid. Fortunately my husband has a full first aid kit and we applied gauze and tape around his finger. Near the end of the day he explained that he was only painting over the spackled areas, not the whole closet. He hadnt sanded down the spackling yet, and left before finishing the spackling.A call to the Pasadena store where we made the purchase resulted in Raga Roberts, the General Manager, being too busy to talk with me, passing me off to Rob Kaplan who after 1.5 hours could only report that the installer division in Dallas had been emailed about the problem and someone would be calling me sometime tomorrow about the problem. I asked again to speak to the general manager to allay my concerns. I was told she had gone home for the day and didnt return customer calls after leaving the store. It was only 7 pm and the store was open for at least another hour. Not sure what can be more pressing than a disappointed customer....I understand it can be difficult to estimate the time it will take to complete a project. The store should have sent two installers and have them arrive on time to help manage found conditions in the field. But more importantly, the store manager should have taken a personal interest in addressing these missteps and assuring us that the problem would be remedied the next day.We will go to bed tonight wondering if and when our closet will be completed. You will go to bed tonight knowing that you should look elsewhere for a closet system because Container Store is not up to the task.

If you need to put something away, this is t by e place to go too. The also have lots of wrapping paper at Christmas time.

Large selection of containers over two floors and friendly staff. The parking situation can be a bit tough sometimes.
