Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I have nothing but ample thanks and gratitude for the technicians Matthew (and I believe the other techs name) Ryan who came out and literally saved my kitchen from flooding. What started out as what I believed was a clogged garbage disposal at 8;30 pm quickly became nightmare due to the plumbing stack (shared plumbing through one pipe among multiple units in my condo). As someone the floor above me turned on their water in the kitchen, dirty wastewater from the pipes began to rise in my sinik and overflowed onto the counters and the floor. Thankfully, Matt and Ryan arrived just as the water hit the floor and helped me alert the neighbors to stop running any water and went right to work. They were there for several hours and removed the clog and helped me clean up the mess-completely saving the day and what would have been an insane amount of damage to the floors. Thank you again for such quick and responsive service. Oh and they didnt charge an additional fee for coming out after regular business hours or emergency service which was also amazing. I had the pleasure of working with Ian and Zuly. I needed to have my shower fixed as it was not draining correctly. They were knowledgeable about the situation. Ian was effective and thorough in clearing the drain and proactively provided me with information about a softener to prevent calcium buildup.They also showed up on time and wore booties to prevent tracking outside dirt inside my home. Would recommend and use them for any plumbing services.

All of the toilets in our building clogged and could not be used during a major event. We had an appointment with them at 9am the next day, but the soonest someone showed up was at 2pm as the person we scheduled was backed up in another job.I would give 5 stars for Noah alone as he came out and helped us when he wasnt the technician scheduled to arrive. He was incredibly kind and gave great advice for what needed to be done. After he completed his service, he scheduled a camera person to arrive the next day to see what the main issue is with our pipes. The camera person never showed and our staff was waiting for their arrival. We called Roto-Rooter on Monday and they went through the whole musical chair scheduling process again.3 stars because of scheduling issues and forgetting the appointment that was scheduled which led to our staff waiting around on a day that the office is usually closed.

Called Roto Rooter and dispatched Michael to fix our water heater pilot. I’m extremely satisfied with his service because he went above and beyond his duty. He took the time to call the manufacturer and to see if we still had warranty on the parts which he ultimately saved us hundreds of dollars. He genuinely took care of us and valued his work ethics, a character you hardly come across nowadays. I highly recommend him and he is an asset to Roto Rooter. He’s definitely a KEEPER!

Michael and Brian of Roto Rooter fixed our clogged toilet, changed the flapper and the fill water valve in a short time. They were professional, cleaned up after the work was done while Michael explaining to us in detail the issues we were having with our toilet. My plumbing backed up on the Friday morning of 4th of July weekend just as my family arrived from out of town. Marquise showed up so fast and had thoroughly diagnosed the issue and what needed to be done within maybe 10 minutes, explaining it in a way that assuaged all my stress. He then worked very thoroughly through the afternoon heat in my very not well air conditioned 1920s bungalow (I’m still so sorry) to fix the problem so we wouldn’t have to go to a hotel. He literally had to remove my whole toilet, and pulled a whole root system from my pipes, and had the issue fixed and the place back to normal in just a few hours. He was really professional and personable, and I’m so very grateful! Highly, highly recommended. Thank you so much!!

Technician dismissed customers concerns and insead went right to bathroom to try and fix the issue. In the long run, technician resigned to customers original concern about clean-out lines under house, which resolved the issue. Roto Rooter Inc. needs to revise initial technician/customer conversation to listen to the customer instead of trying to go for the maximum price they can extract from customer; I have this issue every 4 - 5 years and was greatly perplexed to be outguessed on my experiences. The technician was kind and considerate and only charged for the clean-out lines. I was thankful for his resolve. Roto-Rooter Inc. should reassess what is important to the customer. I understand prices everywhere have gone up, but this call was almost three times what it was last time I needed this same service.

I had a plumbing emergency on a Sunday, actually, two plumbing emergencies, and this company came through for me. The technicians they sent were of top quality, polite, professional, and they did the jobs perfectly. They give a firm estimate, and they hold to it, the pricing was fair, and the work was exceptionally good. I was impressed by the fact that they do the work well and keep their word, and you can’t ask for more than that. I highly recommend them.

I recently hired Ian to fix a clogged tub and was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. From the moment I called, he was responsive, courteous, and able to come quickly. They would not give me a ballpark quote over the phone for a kitchen sink snake. When they got here, they quoted nearly $500 for it. The technician also just rolled right in on my carpet without asking about shoes. Do not recommend.

Jorge showed up in the early evening and completely handled our problem quickly. He was knowledgeable and very competent. He was also very patient and communicative with everyone. We felt lucky that he was the one assigned to us because it was evening and he came!

Discovered a leak in my bathroom after work. Called several places and Roto Rooter was the only company available to come the day I called. Jorge was the technician. He was professional and courteous. He handled the problem and charged us a good price. I would recommend their services.

We had our main water line explode during the tropical storm and were left without any water access with small children in our house. Roto-Rooter truly came to our rescue. They had an incredibly competent field manager, Lance, at our door in just hours, and and entire crew there the next day who replaced all our pipes and restored water to our home in less than 12 hours. Roto Rooter overcharged me and did a poor job. So, I will never use Roto Rooter nor recommend them to anyone I know. I used Roto Rooters to install a new pilot for my water heater. Initially, I was told they would do it on a Monday evening. No one showed up on Monday evening. Then, someone from Roto Rooters called me on Tuesday and said they made a mistake in the scheduling and they could have someone come Tuesday evening. I gave them another shot and they charged me $750 to install the pilot on my water heater. After some guys from Roto Rooter installed the pilot, I noticed a gas leak. I called Roto Rooters out to fix it because they said the installation was under warranty for a year. However, another rep from Roto Rooters told me he would need to charge me an additional $500 to replace my gas valve connected to my water heater. This was after he first said he didnt smell a leak, but could do the spray test around the valve to determine if there was a leak. After doing the spray leak test, he determined we needed a new gas valve. I told him the installation of the pilot was covered under a 1 year warranty, Roto Rooters are supposedly the plumbing experts, and there was never the smell of gas until they tried to install my pilot. Therefore, they should have notified me that I needed a new gas valve when they isntalled the pilot. Thus, they should do the valve for free because of the 1 year warranty on thr isntallation. Nevertheless, he said he would not do it unless I paid them over $500. I told him not do it. So. I called the gas company instead and they came out for free. They also said it was a leak and that the valve needed to be replaced. However, the rep from the gas company told me to buy the valve from Home Depot for $15 and install the valve myself or have a handyman do it to save hundreds of dollars and the headache. I bought the vavle paid a handyman off Thumbtack to do it for $70. So, I saved over $400 by NOT using Roto Rooters. I should have done the same thing for my pilot to my water heater.

I’m happy that same day service was available. However 300 dollars for a quick 10 min toilet auger to clear a clogged toilet is way overpriced. I didn’t have time to shop around but next time I will. Thank you.

After calling several 24/7 plumbers, Roto-Rooter was the only one with great customer service and availability late at night to send someone. Johnston was very professional. He was able to unclog my toilet in no time. He clearly explained what he was going to do and answer all of my questions. I was pleased with his service.

They completed the job, but I believe we were significantly overcharged for the time it took. Unfortunately, we noticed a pattern and were actually given misinformation by our plumber that all contributed to a hefty bill.1. We were charged for the time it takes for our plumber to travel to and come back from Home Depot to obtain certain parts. Our closest Home Depot is a 5 minute drive away and the plumber was gone for over an hour each time.2. At one point, our plumber went to his truck to look for a screw. He was gone for 20 minutes and my wife and I could clearly see him just sitting in the driver seat of his truck for most of it.3. Because he didnt have the screw and that was the last step to complete the job, the plumber offered to go get one at Home Depot. I asked if this time spent to do this would affect total price and I was told it wouldnt, so I agreed. He returned over an hour later with the screw, finished the job within 5 mins and generated an invoice that included the time he had just spent going to Home Depot.In general, there was a pattern of concerning behavior that ultimately led to us paying a large amount of money. For reference, one of my friends from out of town manages a plumbing company and so I got his opinion. He informed me that they would normally charge less than half what Roto-Rooter did for the same job.I can only post a certain number of characters, so I have attached a full and detailed review as a picture if anyone is interested.

Good experience, and really polite had my elderly mother visiting for the week and we really had good conversations with and honest straight forward attitude made a tough situation like a plugged sewer easy to deal with!

It was reasonably expensive, however worth it to me, b c not having the pipe clog cleared would have resulted in a sizable cleanup and possible water damage, not to mention irate tenants.

2 other technicians were not to unclog it. Johnston was. Service was pricey but I agreed because he offered 30 days of warranty.Unfortunately the blockage came back the following week and TJ declined to open the drain because Johnston indicated no warranty on the invoice after completing the work.

Our technician - Michael was hardworking, helpful, intelligent, shared his knowledge and expertise and clearly wanted to help us with a very tricky leak under our home. It was hot and difficult work and he completed the job with pride and a sense of excellence. No shortcuts or half-completed work here!!! Reservations made late Dec 23...got an email confirmation in a few minutes. Next day, shows up on time. Now have a smooth flowing drain! Not the cheapest...but worth the efficiency!

A team came to unclog my toilet - which also happens to be connected to the same plumbing as my water faucet. I was told that by repairing the toilet, my faucet would drain accordingly. That did not happen, so I called them back. A very rude man showed up and was very defensive about the previous service and was short with me from the very beginning. I am a single mom alone with a newborn and I wa told they would call before showing up on my doorstep. They did not. When I said something to the serviceman he said “I got nothing to do with that”. A simple apology would have suffice. And then the rest of his visit went downhill from there. I explained I was told and he cut me off anf got very defensive. I will not be using their services again. Will be using Mr. Rooter

Ian & his team were friendly, clean & courteous. The work was explained well ahead of signing the quote and all questions were answered. They even wore shoe coverings to not get the house dirty. 👍

The person who helped me was great, but 450 to snake two toilets in 3 minutes? That was with the discount I got from reviewing them, too. Unfortunate. Also I called at 5 pm and even though this was supposedly open 24 hours they couldn’t get anyone out until the next morning.

WAY overpriced and inexperienced plumbers. They dont recommend the most cost effective solution to fix issues and always recommend the highest price option. They quoted me $9500 to replace a small section of piping under my flowerbed. Dont believe the fake Google reviews, read the Yelp reviews for true feedback. Taking my business elsewhere.

They clear a clogged drain, and a day later at clogged again. They charged me for the second cleaning as well. Not reliable, dont guarantee their work and overpriced.Update: I was subsequently contacted by their HQ and they promised to have someone reach out as you see below. I never heard from anyone after repeated emails so its all an act. Unfortunately they dont take customer feedback seriously or care about providing good service.

We had called Mr. Rooter, who we had used before at our house & my mothers house. But this time, it was raining & about 3:00 pm. The guy they sent out didnt seem to know alot about plumbing, & also didnt want 2 go out in the rain at all. He said that he couldnt do ANYTHING for us that day to even get the toilets working & would have to do a giant clean out the next day that would cost us almost $900. We told him we had 6 people coming to stay for several days to attend my mothers funeral and could he at least just snake the toilets. He said if he tried to do that, the water & waste from the 1 toilet would shoot out of the other toilet, so nothing could be done. He left & I immediately called Roto Rooter. They sent Marquise within 1/2 hour. Marquise was our angel. He came in & told us not to worry. He said he would get everything draining today....both toilets AND the shower. Within the hour he had it all fixed!! He also found that the problem was that the cleaning people had flushed some wipes down the toilet & thats why everything was plugged. He was also so sweet & caring about helping us. I will be calling ONLY Roto Rooter from now on & also requesting Marquise.

Honestly the best service and they saved us from what could have been a terrible situation. People say these things happen at the worst time, for my husband and I it really was. On New Years Eve! My husband and I had no plans on going out because I had just gotten out of the hospital the day before from giving birth. So I definitely needed working toilets. On New Year’s Eve our toilets stopped working as did the showers. Terrible timing. Roto rooter was the only company that would come out fast. Roto rooter was at my house within half an hour and he was the best guy for the job. My husband really liked Rogelio, super nice guy, great worker, and professional. The best person for the job. We were super happy and blessed to have Rogelio and roto rooter help us out. So many thanks to them.

Noah arrived early and was very friendly. He gave me multiple options to repair my faucet, temperature valve and shower handle, and called a few companies to try and find replacement parts for me. He was trying to help me out as much as he could as I was in a tough situation with what could be done to fix my shower. Highly recommend his services and Roto-Rooter and would gladly use them again.

We had our water heater break in the early morning hours on a Sunday. We got online and booked Roto Rooter and they confirmed and showed up by 9:30am. Ryan was professional, responsive and explained the issue. He got the parts needed and was back to fix it within the hour. Excellent service!!!

Minimal interruption and they were QUICK! Plumbing is fixed and I have a good peace of mind.

Technician arrived promptly for service. Albert has demonstrated his experience on my toilets overflow issues. He clearly explained what need to be done to fix the problem and the details of the cost. He fixed the problem and provided very clearly the step by step actions to remedy the problem. He also provided suggestions to prevent toilet overflow to happen in the future.

My main sewer line got clogged backing up the bathrooms, shower and tub. I called and immediately got connected with dispatch. Within an hour Marquise came. The cap on the main clean out was old and really stuck on there. After quite some time, he was able to get it off and did the snake thing for a bit and all the stuff clogging the line were cleared away. It was late but he completed the job. He was very kind and patient! He went the extra mile!! I would certainly call them again!
