Mikes team works quickly and Mike is a good communicator. Great quality of work for showers, tile, plumbing, painting and drywall. Work covered redoing two bathrooms, moving AC ducts from floor vents to ceiling vents (including repurposing a closet into an alcove to make room for an AC duct behind it), and crawling into the very tight-fit attic space to redo insulation. Overall very happy with the work and would strongly consider Mikes team for future work.

Mikes detailed scope of work enabled us to see exactly what would be done in order to gut (to the studs) and create two new bathrooms in our house (built in 1971). Dealing with tile efficiently is an art, and Mikes team was meticulous while working with very large pieces of tile. Mike was easily available in person (nearly daily visits and/or by text) to check on job progress or to deal with any unexpected issues. When problems did occur outside the scope of work (two unknown roof leaks!), solutions were proposed at very fair prices. We highly recommend United Group Construction! (BTW, the pictures do not do justice our beautiful new bathrooms.)

Mike has just completed our construction we converted the garage , The process from the first day we walked into until today has been incredibly satisfying We added several elements to the project as we moved along. They always were professional and were able to accommodate us and not compromise their time frame to start the next job. They made us feel like we were his only client and we felt like we were his highest priority. We enjoyed working with the entire staff. They totally complement each other and work as a team. The entire project was so clean, every day they took great care of our home as they worked. We highly recommend Mike and hope to have them back for other projects! Thanks to the Mike staff!

Mike and his team were referred to me by my realtor and after his initial assessment of my project I knew he was the one for the job.The renovation was for the lower floor of my two story garage. The room itself had a low ceiling and the floors were pitched making one side of the room 7+ inches higher than the opposite side. In addition there was an unusual block structure build into the wall rendering nearly 50 sq ft of the room unusable. The work entailed lowering the floor a foot, removing the obstruction, and rebuilding/reinforcing the supporting concrete support elements.Unlike the five other contractors I met, Mike was the most concerned about managing my expectations. He is very honest about what can and cannot be done and was very considerate of my budget both long and short term. That being said, additional cost did come up, however they weren’t surprises so much prudent measures to take. He was able to “kill 2 or 3 birds with one stone” on this project, basically saving me a six figure expense in the future. All in all, we had a very good experience with UGC and I have already recommended Mike and his crew to my neighbors for work on their homes.

I have used UCG (Mike) for 2 different jobs. A bathroom remodel and backyard work (masonry, concrete patio and they even hand built me a custom fire pit!) Very good communication.! Prompt, very fast and good work. Extremely fair pricing!

Mike and crew are skilled craft- people. They are responsive and upfront with the project. The job was brick wall & mason work in our backyard. We’ll use again.

We hired United Group Construction in July of last year. The re-model and repair issues with Mike has been a very emotional experience. We started with Mike doing our front bathroom. The entire remodel ended up going from one bathroom to two bathrooms and a copper plumbing. We like our bathrooms, but their has been too many mistakes. Mike felt we got our moneys worth and whenever we would disagree he was extremely argumentative. It was just 2 months when the issues started. First, the grout started cracking, and the sealant around the bathtub was peeling off. They came back twice to re-grout and re-seal but it didnt fix the issue. Then Mike said it was an issue with the studs and the acrylic bathtub so they would have to break the tile and bolt the tub to the wall which we thought would have been done the when remodeling the bathroom. I appreciate that Mike came back to fix the work, but the third time he came back, they put the faucet back on and a small crack formed on the tile. On this visit he had the nerve to ask money for the supplies and labor in a text after it was all done with no invoice, even though he is fixing the original job. My husband told him no way are we going to pay because it is the original job that has not been completed correctly.Mike is an extreme hard core salesman. His strategy is to gain your trust in order to get as much money as possible. At first, Mike was very helpful, but slowly after you sign his contract and his workers begin working it becomes a different situation. Talking to him is useless because he will just argue and argue and literally never take responsibility for his part. He has to always be right and/or has an excuse or reason why he is right and will just talk over you even if its lies. It is like walking on egg shells and soon I felt I had to be very careful what I would text him so he would not go off on a defensive tyrant. One time my husband wanted to give his workers a tip and Mike called me telling me he was the owner and he doesnt run his business like that, he pays his guys well and dont do that. When I made the first review I had felt a little pressured because he kept asking me to do it. I did it but soon after issues began to happen. When I changed my review he called my husband extremely upset and never once did he say sorry for all the mistakes and issues with the bathroom, he deflected all blame onto others and at one point insinuated that we might have cracked our own tile so we can make bad reviews about him. His invoices are very vague and do not include itemized prices. He said the invoice itself is his warranty but my husband asked him about a warranty and he just talked in circles, and then the second time he asked about the warranty thats when Mike said the actual invoice is his warranty. My husband asked him where on the invoice is it written and Mike still wouldnt admit that it wasnt written down on the form. He just stated over and over the invoice is my warranty and I give you my word. Due to the fact that his invoices are so vague, it leaves it open for him to continually find reasons to ask you for more money, and he is classic for telling you how much free things he has done for you and how he has gone above and beyond for you. My husband even asked him, if he gave us all that free stuff why wasnt it documented on the invoice. My husband also said, why didnt the invoice state that if Mike finds additional problems then an additional cost will incur. I had some friends who needed help with their houses so I recommended Mike before all of the issues, and my friends had the same issues with him, so they never asked him back for other jobs because he is so hard to communicate with. If you call United group Construction make sure every single thing is in writing or on audio recording so you can play it back to Mike when he starts to argue, rationalize, or give reasons why your wrong and hes right.

Mike was helpful, kind, knowledgeable and professional. He and his crew did a beautiful job for a very reasonable price. They overcame many obstacles dealing with my HOA and stayed within my very narrow timetime (due to extraneous circumstances). I would definitely hire him again for any future construction or remodeling need. Thank you so much Mike.
