The Carpenters Son Construction in San Pedro is hands down the best contractor around! Rick explained everything every step of the way and his crew did such a good job with replacing my window, making it look like it was always there... I invited them back to install new tiles on my exterior balcony.The craftsmanship and artistry is second to none and the whole team is respectful, professional and a great group of people.If you are considering any work in your home, you will not be disappointed with this company.

Fantastic work by Rick and his team . Fully repiped my property. Fully remodeled my bathrooms hallway and kitchen. Helped me save money and finished according to schedule.

Working with Carpenter’s Son Construction was a great experience. I remodeled 2 bathrooms in my condo which is no easy feat, especially with acquiring permits through all this COVID nonsense. Rick was very good at communicating and answering questions. He was quick at returning phone calls and making suggestions, and educating me on different materials I needed for the remodel, which I needed. Lol....I had to ask Rick and his #1, Carlos, EVERYTHING. So I really appreciated all the time they took to help me with the process. Everyone who worked on the project was professional and nice.... and they kept everything as clean as they possibly could which is a big plus for me. And even now when I have questions Rick doesn’t hesitate to pick up the phone. The bathrooms came out beautifully and everyone sees their work is VERY impressed. If I ever need anything else done, I’m definitely using them again.

I really appreciate the knowledge and professional demeanor of Rick and all the carpenters that worked on my project. I tasked them with a front porch cover, and they more than came through. With the rains that poured just now (Dec 28, 2020) I am REALLY loving the porch cover.I would highly recommend The Carpenter’s Son Construction for your next project.

If I could give 0 starts I would. I am sure the 14 good reviews are from people who were paid to leave a review or friends and family.I work for a property Management Company and we recently hired this company to do some waterproofing work at one of our properties. This company was referred to us by one of our Managers who has also had a bad experience with them and stated she is sorry she referred them to us.The Board approved their proposal because it was the lowest bid. This company is the perfect example of you get what you pay for. Caroline Concepcion bugged and bugged about receiving a $300.00 deposit then disappeared once the deposit was made.I had to chase her down for over 3 months to get them to do any work. Each time she claimed a contractor stopped by the property to check the planter and it was wet and they dont work with wet dirt, mind you this was never stated in their proposal nor was I made aware until I complained to her about the lack of attention to this matter.I had landscapers turn off irrigation and she continued to state that her guys went out and dirt was still wet. The property is about a block from the Beach so precipitation close to the beach is always high, hence why dirt will most likely be wet.Caroline has failed to communicate with us within a timely manner, fails to return emails and phone calls and always has an excuse. The Board of Directors decided to cancel the work with this company and I have been trying to get their deposit back for 3 weeks now and she has yet to return my call or answer my emails.THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. DO NOT PAY A DEPOSIT AS THEY WILL JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT COMPLETE THE WORK.

We have worked with Rick and his team for three major projects now...First was a bathroom addition along with repainting our whole house and building/installing built-ins for every closet. The second project was retail space renovations for a new business we started in the Belmont Shore area. Rick was creative with his approach to the ever changing job scope and found solutions to working with unexpected additions such as reclaimed wooden mantels (they are HEAVY!!!!) and reclaimed wood siding. His team was extremely careful painting and working around all my expensive vintage tables and the final product was absolutely well done!!! We love it! Project three is another retail renovation...again they did a wonderful job and I was impressed with the management as they were wrapping up project two while I needed them to really push the start date for project three. I already plan to utilize their skills for two future projects on the horizon.

I’ve used Rick and his team at The Carpenters Son for several projects in the past year. Two commercial retail build-outs and one residential home renovation. Over this year he has become our “go-to” guy for all things large and small. I could not be happier with the level of trust we’ve established over this time, and even more impressive, I felt that trust and transparency in him and his business practices from the start. Beyond that, I’ve had a number of obstacles on these jobs that required an impeccable level of communication and intelligent problem-solving solutions to get to the finish line. Rick and his team consistently maintained constant and reliable contact with me throughout each job and were really helpful in the instances when unforeseen issues came up. I would, and actively do, recommend Rick and his team to anyone who asks me for help finding a contractor.

I had called a handyman service, and another general contractor, before reaching The Carpenters Son Construction, Inc. The other two services did not return my call. There was someone waiting in the office to take my call when I phoned this company. I was able to make an appointment to have Rick Caudle, the company owner, come out to give us an estimate the next day. He arrived on time, and he provided me with a lot of information. He was extremely sincere as he explained what would need to be done. The proposal he sent was thorough, and the bid was very reasonably priced. Rick sent a carpenter, Rigo, to complete this job. It involved upgrading our closets. He did excellent work, explaining why he did what he did every step of the way. The next day a young man, Jonathan, came out to fix our attic access lid. He worked quickly, and in a professional way. I am very happy that I now have an accommodating, honest general contractor I can call on. Thank you!

Rick and the team at The Carpenter’s Son Construction are 5 stars all the way! They get back to you in a timely manner and answer all your questions. Their prices are very reasonable. They are great for small projects or large. They are my first call whether for my own home or my rental property. Call them first and you will not need to go any further!

Rick and his team were very courteous and always earlier than on time! They laid out their remodeling plans for our bathroom and living room and met them from start to finish. His prices were fair, his service was way above average and all was done on or ahead of schedule. I would definitely recommend to anyone to give him a call for any quotes you may need!

I had Rick and his crew gut and rebuild two of my bathrooms, the master and a half bath. The job came out spectacularly. Rick was communicative and responded quickly to my inquiries. He had updated me with each milestone and made sure that the job was done to my (and his) liking, if something was not done to his standard, he had his guys rework it. The entire team was clean and did their best to make sure they kept my house as clean as they could - given the amount of dust generated by construction, this is not small feat. Rick was a great sounding board for my ideas and he even went as far as to suggest some design ideas I hadn’t thought of.At the end of the project the main concern is that the work was done completely and properly. For my situation, this is absolutely true. For example, when the tiling in the shower was being measured for the glass enclosure, the walls were off by only 1/16 of an inch between the top and bottom! Most jobs can easily be 1/2 inch or more but Rick made sure the tiling was done to his exacting specifications which made the shower enclosure easier (and cheaper) to cut.I have more projects to do in my house and Rick will be back to complete them for me.

Rick and his guys came through and rescued my kitchen and bath remodel project. I have a lot of experience remodeling my homes and building my own house. Rick was superior to any other contractor I have dealt with. The level of precision and dedication to detail is exemplary. My hat is off to him and his crew.

Im so glad our friend recommended Rick. We needed a new water heater and he and his crew took care of us quickly and were professional from start to finish. His price was $200 less than another company from whom we received a price. On the day of the installation, one of his crew members arrived 10 minutes early but because it was before 8, he waited outside. Within a couple of hours, the new water heater was installed. Well call Rick again the next time we need help with our house!

Serviceman was knowledgeable and professional with a friendly attitude. Also pricing was reasonable. He actually saved us $2,000 when he repaired my garage door. I was about to buy a new door.

After interviewing several different individuals to do work on my kitchen I happened on Rick and his crew. It was apparent from the start that he was different. He came to my home and LISTENED to what I wanted to do and didnt try to sell me on something else. Once we decided on the project he couldnt have been more responsive. He answered all my questions and concerns, always returned my calls promptly, showed up exactly when he said he would and always kept me updated on the progress. The work was completed in the time he anticipated and most importantly it is was all of excellent quality. All the people he had work in my house were considerate and a pleasure to work with. Rick made what is by its nature a disruptive process, as painless as possible because he is someone who can be trusted - someone who understands and values integrity.
