My service person was Jeffrey P.Excellent in all ways.He diagnosed an initial problem, recommended a solution, returned when water filter unit arrived and quickly and efficiently installed. First time I have used Kevin Shaw. From the first phone call to when Jeff left after completing work, all staff were exemplary. Notifications all along the way were timely and thorough. Joe and Jeff were right on time. I had been told when I set up an appointment that there was a fee for the assessment of work. They were very polite and were able to fix my shower hose and extremely hot water without further problems I was very pleased with their attitude and performance. Whenever I need plumbing assistance, I always cal Kevin Shaw Plumbing and request Jose. While Im sure the other plumbers at Kevin Shaw are just as good, Jose is my go to guy for the plumbing problems I just cant deal with on my own. Hes top notch when it comes to professionalism, expertise, and getting the job done right. Hes also genuinely a super nice guy and very respectful of my place. Hes helped me at each house Ive owned and Ill continue to work with him and Kevin Shaw for any future plumbing needs.

I had a severe plumbing problem to the point where water escaped under the bathroom door and pooled on the hard wood floors in one of the bedrooms, hallway, and entryway. Joe and Jeff went the extra mile and recommended a cleaning service to deal with the toxic water. Joe and Jeff were at my residence for about 4 1/2 hours and worked extremely hard to solve the problem. They couldn’t have been anymore professional and prompt.

My service request was for a Garbage disposal replacement. $450 was the quote or pay $90 and they leave. I took off work and had to get it done. So you pay but I get to post.Do not use this company. Do not use this company.Read other posts, use other reputable plumbers that do not of take advantageheir clients situations and time. Neighborhood businesses should support and respect with fair prices the neighborhood they service.

Ive used Kevin Shaw for many years with satisfaction every time. When I was much younger, I thought I would try a less expensive plumber. Yes, the other plumber looked sharp and smelled good; but his work stunk, He broke off his drain-cleaning equipment down deep in the drain and estimated a cost of $8,000 to $15,000 to resolve the problem by cutting into my concrete foundation. I called Kevin Shaw, my usual plumber whom I should have called in the first place, and for only a few hundred dollars, both my original problem and the problem caused by the cheaper plumber were resolved promptly and in a very resourceful and professional way. Ill never again use any plumber other than Kevin Shaw.

My house needed some much needed care on several systems - > Joe and Jeffrey are the best - I interacted more with Joe who was patient with my questions, thorough, clearly knowledgeable and a good communicator. Went for the ongoing maintenance plan because I think these guys (and my house) are worth it.

Outrageous prices!!! Something is fishy! The office manager could not break down the costs on the invoice so I had no idea what the true cost of the service was. There was no business license printed on the estimate. When I called this morning, I was quoted the price of a service call for about $100 more than what I was told when I went into the office. Do not use this service!! For the price that we paid for a simple snaking of the kitchen drain, we could have had an entire new sink put in. $600 an hour for a simple snaking of a clogged drain????? Dont do it!!!!

Came As Soon As We Called!Our kitchen drain was so clogged up, we couldnt clean it out ourselves. We had a plumber from Kevin Shaw at our house within 30 minutes of our call. No waiting around and getting annoyed that we couldnt do anything else because we were waiting for a plumber.

Same day response, professional and actually saved money on the original quotation. Really feel like these guys care, have pride in their work and are on your side. In this instance after seeing the situation Jeff was able to affect a cheaper repair. Cant beat that and the work is guaranteed!

In construction we have a saying. One has to be at least ten percent smarter than the material they are working with. The problem with Kevin Shaw plumbing is he assumes his clients are ten percent less intelligent than a lead pipe. Ask him to come out some time for a job, he actually thinks he can charge you $89.99 for am estimate. He calls it a service call.His problem is I already made a phone call, I charge $90.99 to do it. The way I see it, he owes me a buck.

Jeff and Joe were great. Very courteous and prompt. I agree that you could pay less with other companies, however, these guys were very knowledgeable and took a lot of care with the job.

Wow - the Kevin Shaw man came to my property today to look at a leaking pipe. The fee would have been $500 to replace one foot of copper pipe!! Unbelievable! He was nice, but of course, I said no, thanks.

Joe was right on time, which I appreciated since it was really hot and I wanted my AC repaired right away. Joe was very friendly and knew what he was talking about. I appreciated that he explained everything to me and answered all my questions.

Called for sump pump check. The water was not draining in my driveway. Paid $89 just for him to come out.no disrespect to the guy who came out, But the business quoted me over $900 to just clean out water from driveway and to check if pump is working. This price did not include a new pump if I need one. I asked how much just to clean out water from drain and that would be over $300. Crazy prices! Too high for something that would take no skill. I would not recommend.

Joe was an excellent representative of Kevin Shaw. He was courteous, efficient, knowledgeable, and thorough. After he replaced our garbage disposal, he tested everything that would have contributed to our original issue and discovered an additional problem and corrected it. He offered us several options and explained each one without pushing us to choose the most expensive. He didnt just say what needed to be done, he showed us what the problems were and made sure we understood the issues. I would not hesitate to call on Kevin Shaw Plumbing again and have already recommended them to a neighbor who needs some work done.

The representatives from Kevin Shaw were extremely professional, communicative and helpful. When they discovered that my three toilets had specific requirements for parts, they went out and got those with no extra charge. They did the work properly and promptly. They also had tips for me to prevent calcium buildup in one of my toilets. I could not have asked for a better job!

I had someone at the house within an hour of calling the office. The two gentlemen that came to fix our garbage disposal were professional and polite from start to finish. They were willing to answer all of my questions. I appreciated that they put on booties over their shoes too...seems minor but so often workmen come to the house and bring in dirt on their shoes. Let me start by saying scheduling was very easy and Joe, the technician, was very nice, professional, and prompt.We were quoted $780 to replace a garbage disposal. The same garbage disposal that you can buy new for around $110. So they wanted to charge $670 for what at most would have been an hour job. Insane markups. I will not be calling back.

Scheduling Joe to come out and replace our AC filters was seamless through Brandie. He showed up earlier than expected, replaced our filthy, smoky, filters and cleaned the vents. Great communication from start to finish and we are breathing easier now. Highly recommend Kevin Shaw Plumbing’s Joe for AC service.

Ive hired Kevin Shaw Plumbing on several occasions and they have always been professional, and provided excellent service. They came out today to inspect and tune up my A/C unit. They arrive on time and were thorough. They were honest with their suggestions to plan to replace my current equipment.

Im very satisfied and happy with my results from this company. Prices are fair they showed up right away. All other plumbing companies did not have appointments and they bad-mouth this company. Shame on them . You will not be disappointed we wasnt. Sometimes you just have to pay for service. Some Services cant come at a discount . Very impressed.

Kevin Shaw is a waste of money. I called about a leak. The guy shows up I explain the problem, without investigating anything or checking the leak, he informs me it will be around $7,0000.00 to fix.I asked how he could determine the problem without checking anything and he responded 20 years in the business. What a joke.I am a car mechanic by trade. When someone rolls into the shop I dont quote them a price or tell them whats the problem until I pop the hood and check out the engine.KEVIN SHAW is not recommended. I would avoid and call someone else.Also they charge $90 for doing nothing(again he did no checks on the leak) other than handing me a pamphlet.

I had a great experience with Kevin Shaw Plumbing. The company sent someone out the same day I called. I called at 8am and Joe was here by 10am. Joe was very personable and professional. He made sure to wear his mask out of respect for me and my house. In addition, Joe made sure to disinfect/clean all the door handles after touching them, again out of respect for me and my house. Also, he worked quickly and efficiently. I also really like how he explained a lot of things we can do in order to prevent our tub from clogging again. Lastly, I LOVE how the company sends a text message with their pumper’s background, credentials, and picture about 5-10mins before the pumper arrives. I like having an idea of who is showing up at my door so I found this feature to be fantastic! Overall, I would highly recommend this company, especially Joe, to anyone. They are on the pricey side but I truly believe you get what you pay for and they are more than willing to work with you in terms of payment. Again, I highly recommend them.

They even shared with me information about my HVAC system that no other company had shared with me in the past twenty years that Ive lived in my house which help to explain some of the issues Ive had over the years with my system. Absolutely...call Kevin Shaw first.

Ive been using Kevin Shaw Plumbing for years - theyve always been super responsive, super helpful, and comparatively inexpensive. My house has a ton of plumbing issues due to poor construction decisions and the plumbers who come out always make their best effort to solve the issue in the lowest cost way possible, even when it might be a lost cause.

Serviceman Jose Flores arrived very quickly. Very professional and polite. He also taught me how to fix a couple things myself to save a little money.

Our A/C broke in the middle of the night. I called Kevin Shaw and Joe was here within an hour. He fixed our problem, located some visible work that needs to get done and suggested some maintenance. I was no way pressured or felt forced but felt that someone was looking out for my best interest. Would definitely recommend again!

I have a broken water heater and had called the manufacturer and the company recommended quoted what I thought was a lot of money. Jeff showed up and looked at my water heater and actually let me know what would be the best thing he would do. He told me that going with that other quote was actually the best way for me to go. I cant tell you how much I appreciate an honest person who even though this time I wont be using their company tild me what was best for me. You can believe that they will be the first company I call with my plumbing needs in the future.

DONT!!! Two Kevin Shaw plumbers showed up to look at replacing or repairing a leak at the base of the kitchen faucet. After simply eyeballing, one of them went to research the parts and came back after 20 minutes to say that the parts were no longer available according to their wholesaler. Repair wasnt even on the table. Their estimate was over $1000 for parts and labor. After further questioning on my part, they said labor alone would be over $600. Why two guys? Are customers paying two men for a one-man job? I paid the $89 service fee and called RJ Collins who sent a plumber the next day. He repaired it for a $98/hour charge plus parts (a ring). He took less time for the repair than Shaws guys took researching the up-charge created. The option presented was for me to go to a plumbing outlet and get the parts myself; quite a trick when the diagnosis is incorrect! The labor would be the same. Again, DONT!

Kevin Shaw plumbing is by far one of the BEST companies we have ever worked with. The owner Kevin bent over backwards for us. He went above and beyond by not only helping us on a Sunday to have our sewer line hydro jetted but he also reached out to the city to see if our issue was their responsibility to fix since large roots were in their pipe backing up our sewer line. He took time to meet with the City Public Works representative while we were at work and has been keeping us posted on the progress ever since. It is so refreshing to work with an honest company that really cares about their clients. It is very rare this day and age. I would highly, highly recommend Kevin Shaw plumbing to anyone!
