I have used this company several times for different repairs. They have always done a fantastic job the first time around. They are professional, explain what is happening and why it happened. Our Diagnostic Specialist Tyler Plueger did an outstanding job installing our in wall gas furnace. Very detail oriented and did a thorough job to include the ventilation. I’m am extremely happy with the outstanding service I received. Tyler did a great job of protecting my floor and kept his work area clean. Also cleaned the furnace wall opening after removing the old furnace and installing the new furnace. I highly recommend this company for any of your plumbing, heating or air conditioning needs. Ive always been happy with Downeys service. Currently I have an old house that was neglected and needed work. Alberto did a great job clearing the kitchen sinks, replacing the pipes and installing a new garbage disposal. He was very pleasant and worked very hard. On another visit he did maintenance on a neglected A/C and furnace combo and replaced a needed new blower motor. The furnace inducer motor wasnt working very well. He explained what the inducer motor does and why it is crucial. It wasnt necessary so soon but I asked him to replace that too. The two were expensive but well done and will save me years of worry. Very important: I also paid a reasonable amount to have Downey perform maintenance on a regular basis. Marcos and an assistant replaced an ancient leaking toilet with a beautiful Kohler. These people are thieves and the company is a scam. They charged $150 for a diagnostic fee and did not perform such. The plumber literally called tech support and had me purchase parts that did not work. They then wanted to charge another $150 to come out again to run another diagnostic from the previous one they had done a day ago . Do not do business with these people. Upon further review, we discovered that your plumber Juan never called Rinnai’s tech support when he first came to inspect and charged $150. We found this out when another plumbing company came to inspect the tankless water heater and contacted Rinnai; they had no record of any call or case number from your technician (Juan) . Furthermore, the issue was misdiagnosed by your technician, leading me to purchase unnecessary parts and waste a week of unnecessary time. The water heater needed to be replaced entirely, but your company completely missed this due to negligence and incompetence.

Great communication! They came out and diagnosed the problem and fixed it - did a really good job. My only issue with any company is when they ask to come inside and use the bathroom. It would be nice if they would find a fast food place prior to arrival.

I had my water heater installed with Downey plumbing recently and also had to try to figure out issue with our gas line. All the technicians that helped us were very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend!!

Marcos and Axle were great in diagnosing and fixing our leak underground. They had to almost dig down thru 3 feet of concrete and dirt to find the leak. They took careful measurements to make sure they didnt need to dig more than necessary. We are grateful for their professionalism and promptness.

Plumbing technician German & another associate removed under the kitchen sink, the reverse osmosis equipment & filters within a short time. This gave us more room for storage. Nice clean work, no spills, no mess. Will have them install new filtering sys later.. very good & very clean jòb.

It was an excellent experirnce..Juan was very professional and well organized..He arrived on time while it was heavily pouring rain all morning and he continued to remove the heater and thoughly cleaned out the heater shed and installed new plumbing in from the heater shed to the new unit..He carried away all the old products...Still pouring rain when he left..I was very appreciative to get my hot water after waiting four days.....

Technicians were very professional, came out in the timely manner, checked out my problem. Unfortunately, the problem was not able to be covered by my insurance. They did a thorough job of assessing my problem.

After 3rd slab leak - had to get the house re - piped and of course this right before Thanksgiving.Contacted Downey Plumbing and a quote later that day and the crew was there next day! Water back on!Thankful for the professional and excellent work that was done!

$600 wasted. Company sounded great because they have a 90 day guarantee. Technicians arrived at my home, I explained We were having an issue with one toilet. The technicians advised that the issue was with both toilets and it was a mainline. They ended up removing the toilet that we didnt have an issue with Clearing out the mainline, and leaving. They left a huge mess, and were dripping toilet water from their tools all around my home. I didnt make a big deal about it since they advised the problem was fixed. 4 days later the problem happened again. Our toilet was still backing up and not flushing every time. Some times it was fine but most times we had to use a plunger. So I called them back. They advised me that if the issue was different than what was originally called about, there would be a $75 fee. I Did not worry about this since I was 100% sure it was due to the original problem. when they arrived they advise that nothing was wrong. I explain that its not every single time that the toilet backs up but most times it does and we have to use the plunger. Since it wasnt doing it at that exact moment they werent able to do anything for me. So I paid the $75 and they left. Today, my restroom is completely flooded my sink is also flooded in my kitchen and the water is not going down. I called them to let them know that Im within my 90 days and Im having a huge issue at my home with flooding. They advised that since they came out a second time already the guarantee has been fulfilled and no longer valid. This call would be considered a whole new issue. I know that its not a whole new issue. This is the same issue I was having when I originally called them. Completely unprofessional over the phone, So my family is out of money and now I have to deal with having to fix my home and this flooding and still fix the issue of why my toilets are backing up. I Do not recommend this company.

I called Downey Plumbing Company about an issue with running water, possibly underneath my house. Within 30 minutes if my call, Downey Plumbing pulled-up in front of my home. Rodrigo & Jack, Downey plumbers, were timely, professional, efficient, courteous, friendly, and explained plumbing problems & services needed to correct the problems. Crew came in on an emergency, tore up the walls and claimed the leak was at the drain, yet any intelligent person would realize leak cant be there with the water is not flowing. After charging over $3k for completely unnecessary work they claimed a secondary leak. Small leak in main line. Water to house completely shut off. Downey comes and says they dont have correct size PVC piping. Instead of running 5 minutes to Home Depot or Ace they told me I would need to wait until Monday (5 full days) without water to the house. Called the supervisor and same was said to me - they wouldnt budge. Would NEVER recommend such an inept company - doesnt have basic plumbing supplies and arent even ashamed about it.

Crooks!My home warranty service called them on Friday. They showed up and said the water heater was still under warranty and they would get the part. On Tuesday P.M they let me know that the part will take one week to come from Rheem (the water heater manufacturer) and rather than have me suffer without any hot water, they will install a new water heater.I called another plumber who is not part of the home warranty program, he came and fixed the problem in one hour and charged me $280.These people are dishonest and they made me suffer with no hot water for over 5 days. Hope they go out of business!

The tech that came to my home to clear the sewer was pilote friendly courteous and knowledgeable he did a great job and didn’t leave a mess! Job well done!!

Bad company dont deal with those crocks they will rib you off. I called them to check my AC unit he found out the capacitor was not working. he replace it without telling me how much it is going to coast me. I was shocked when he said $295.00 . The trip to the house is $105.00 which I have no problem with , the capacitor coast no more than $15.00 it was hanging by a clip it took him two minutes to replace it. Then he told me the AC has a leak and the coast to fix it is more than $800.00. I paid him his money and told him I will call another honest people to come and fix it. The new company charged me $300 to fix the leak . I was not surprise when he told me they charge no more $50.00 to replace the capacitor, I was ribbed off when Downey Heating & Air conditioning charge me $295.00 for a $15.00 CAP

I got charged $600 (not covered by insurance) for reinstating the cement floor over the hot water pipe that they fixed, it started to leak cold water from cement floor but technicians can not find the source of the leak. They said maybe because the cement was mixed with water, but that was cemented 6 weeks ago! (I also had issues with the technician switching the hot/cold hoses for the washing machine when they reinstalled it after cementing the floor under the washer. 2 technicians from Downey Plumbing came out to check, they said its an issue with my brand new washing machine.l. called the washer manufacturer LG their technician found out that the hot/colds water hoses were really switched! I mean these are plumbers, why didnt they diagnose it the moment i said that im washing with hot water, shrinking clothes that are not supposed to be washed in hot water!). So needless to say- Im not happy with Downey Plumbing. Sorry.

Call the guys at Downey plumbing and heating. They were at the place on time. The technicians gave me the quote for $495.00 for leak test the gas line so we moved forward.After the pressure leak test was done he call me back and gave an estimate for $4621. To replace the leaking gas line. The quote was more expensive than I thought. Call 2nd plumber gave his estimate $2600 this is more reasonable. I hired the 2nd plumper and he asked me did anyone had done any work? I said yes, for what for pressure gas line. He told me that no one has been underneath the house and no one has open any gas line to done pressure test.So I call Downey plumbing to find out what happen. And one of the ladies answered the phone. I was trying to explain and clarify the work the was done. This lady was very offensive not letting me explainLetting me know her technicians are experiences plumbers and they know what they are doing. I asked her to please let me speak with her manager/owner she put me on hold for 5 minutes and told me we will call back today. 3 days have passed and no one has call me back. I do not recommend Downey pluming and heating for any services.

I would never hire Downeyplumbing.com I found them online and I place a service call for a back up main line and they caused so much damage to my plumbing would not take no responsibility for damage cause by technician did not fixed problem just caused more problems and cost.

Everything was professionally done, from the greetings at the door, having shoe covers ready to put on to come indoors and of course fixing the leak.

We hired them to use hydro jetting service for the drain in our restaurant the service man said it was warranty for one year, we called the customer service that our drain was flooded again she said the warranty is covered only 90days. If you call around or search for other companies for this service most of them warranty is 1 year. For a small family business owner this type of expense is a lot for us. Why would they do stuff like this to people.

This company has been addressed to the Contractor State License Board. There was a senior charged $1400 for a deposit leaving the customer with no work done. Violating contract law. A deposit needs to be $1000 or 10 % whichever is LESS!Senior SCAMMER !!

It was very outrageous that I could do the work myself for under 800 bucks. These guys charge three times that amount just trying to make a quick and easy buck. After calling another company they re-check my water heater and said that only need a new one without replacing anything else. I paid half of their price. I am glad the other company was very honest and did the work amazing. I wouldnt recommend this Downey plumbing at all.

Ive used Downey Plumbing Heating & Air for many years at multiple locations and theyve installed air conditioning, upgraded plumbing, and recently they installed a new garbage disposal. They are always professional and will make sure the job is done correctly. Recently I had Marcos and Alberto install the in sink garbage disposal. They did an excellent job and left zero mess (they even cleaned up the mess that was there before they arrived). I will continue to use Downey in the future.

Plumbers were very professional and nice! Gave me info I didn’t know. For instance , do not connect copper pipe to galvanize directly, use a brass connector because copper will cause galvanize to corrode! Who knew! Great service and a teaching lesson!

I have had Downey Pluming/HVAC at my Grandparents house for updates to a toilet that was leaking at the flange, to install an updated water heater and to re-pipe the whole house from the original 1960s everything all in the last 2 months. Haha.When cutting through the walls they were very accommodating with the wood panels that we were wanting to keep intact.The jobs were done very timely and the utmost cleanliness to the house- everything was covered in plastic and taped off and leaving no scraps behind.Cost-wise, it is not the cheapest but it is not the most expensive. Thats how these things work. You pay for the service, the attention to detail. This isnt amazon prime, its an investment in your property. Ask how much things will cost before the work is started if there are more problems found out, get the cost breakdown. Theyll give it to you!I will happily continue doing business with Downey Plumbing/HVAC

Very knowledgeable, prompt and clean service. I used them for a new air conditioner in 2019 and the service was impeccable. Sold me a great machine and dialed it in to services the rooms perfectly. I used them again in 2021 to replace a leaky backflow valve between my house and the city water line. They did a fantastic job. I used them a third time in 2022 to clear three area drains impacted with dirt and roots. They were able to clear all three drains and get them running again. Marcus and Arthur were super professional and cleaned everything up including the gutter at the street. Always careful, clean, courteous, and knowledgeable. Ive had great experiences with them and will keep using them.

On 08/18/21 downey plumbing came to my home and cleared my plumbing issues. Overall the service was great and technician was able to fix my clogged drain quickly.The issue I have now is their customer service. I called this Sunday because the same toilet got clogged again. I wanted them to come by and inspect It. They told me I was going to charged an emergency charge due to being Sunday. I told them they were just at my residence can they diagnosis and if was due to something else then I would pay. They said no, I had a choose to have them come on Monday. They promised to call back Monday and they did not. I called them at around 11:00 am. I was told there was no technician available it would have to be Tuesday.Tuesday I waited till 11:45 am and was not called again. I spoke to Bri two times and she insisted she was calling me. I never received there calls.At this point I had to get my toilet fixed. I had to go with someone else. They ran the snake in the same spot and cleared it easily. Since they were not at my residence they had to charge me again.

My home insurance company paid downey plumbing to come fix my leak under sink and water on counter top around the faucet.so I told the guy if the faucet bad I bought another one get told me its definitely isnt the faucet but if it was my cost would be 230.00 so after he fixed the leak he said its 260.00 andi told him thats not what he said.so I paid him and want told my receipt would be emailed so 2days later I got the invoice in the mail.and it said for materials tax and labor 260.00 so I called them because I no he told me it definitely wasnt the facet but he said he saw water clog in the faucet but again he said it definitely wasnt the faucet.and he didnt say I made a mistake it is the faucet.i knew then he just wanted to make extra money.the guy who need the repair called me back and said he made a mistake about charging me for materials he ment to charge me for the hourly charge but my home insurance already had covered them for coming out he couldnt even get his lie together they think ladies will believe any lie they tell them because no way you put on the invoice charge for materials and then take my faucet with him when he didnt buy the replacement faucet but the reason he took it nothing was wrong with it it was only 10 months old.when I spoke to his manager he said he would offer me 5.00 back 😯😯😯😯
