I love it when a plan comes together and everyone is happy. Marathon Heating and Air did everything perfectly from explaining the intricacies of replacing our old 5 ton unit to staying in touch prior to the sale and during the period prior to installation day, They were in constant contact forw and after installation. Im impressed by this company, I dont usually write reviews but as a business owner i am extremely picky and scrutinize service type businesses. Marathon Heating and Air far exceeded my expectations!

Ricardo is an outstanding asset to your team. He is personable, responsive and a good communicator. He did a thorough of plumbing inspection and skillfully replaced a copper water pressure valve which he shined to perfection.Also, many thanks to Jessica (in finance?) for handling my issue with knowledge and understanding.

Luis was great to work with when it came to deep cleaning our HVAC system. Not only did he arrive early, he was kind, fast-working, quiet and efficient. He shared before and after pictures, was considerate (cleaned up well) and overall pleasant.I am grateful he made the experience pleasant.

Nino was my technician for an AC inspection after my unit was broken for 2 months. He gave me honest and straightforward answers, walked me through every step, took the time to explain the system and his hypothesis on whats happening. Its hard to meet techs who truly care about helping you fix your problem and I feel lucky that Nino was our tech today.

My outdoor AC unit had stopped working so I gave Marathon a call. They were able to send a technician first thing the next morning. Joziah was the name of the tech they sent and I couldn’t be happier. Within 5 minutes he determined a fuse had blown at the AC breaker. Once the fuses were replaced the unit turned on immediately. He also recommended to clean the coils using a cleaner that removes buildup. He was all finished in about an hour and my house is cool again. I will definitely call Marathon for any future needs.P.S. I AM NOT A BOT

I have learned if you have 2 experiences with a company you can only amend your first review. In other words you cannot post 2 separate reviews. Who knew???I TRULY cannot recommend Marathon Plumbing, Heating and AC Repair ENOUGH. Besides Nino as outlined in my first review, the follow up technician, Joziah, brought my whole experience home through the leak test to giving my space AC once again. The temporary refrigerant Nino put into the system was gone within 12 hours which we knew was temporary anyway. Nino was just looking out for my comfort until Joziah arrived.In comes Joziah, a true knight in his Marathon uniform. He methodically walked me through the process that needed to take place to learn where the leak was originating. Talk about professional . . . WOW . . . not to mention his deep empathy for what I was experiencing. Joziah was INCREDIBLY detailed oriented to the end. He covered every possibility of where the leak could be originating ultimately finding the leak and leaving me with cool air once again. I cannot begin to tell a future client how AMAZING it is to have a technician call me with the goal of the day, show up on time, and care for a project as if it was his own or working on a family unit.Joziah and Nino could be brothers with their approach and deep desire to due right and more by the client. They have been the PERFECT team to get the unit up and running.There is NO question that Marathon hires the creme de la creme of the industry to provide customer service and the professional abilities to work in tandem. I say customer service in spades as far too often it is lacking in American business these days. There is NO QUESTION that I will be recommending Marathon within my own business being a residential building designer.After 2 days without AC, during a heat wave no less, my inside space exceeded 90+°.I felt like I won the HVAC lottery being assigned Nino Valastro as my technician. What a gift he was from his enormously deep professional acumen to being an AMAZING diagnostician, not to mention, his deep concern for me to have AC, even temporarily, until the next step is done to find the source of the refrigerant leak in order to fix it for the long term.Given that Ninos job is done, others will do the leak test, I feel BLESSED to have had him to get to the root of the problem for the next step and that AC is enveloping me once again.MILLE GRAZIE ~Margot

Luis the technician was knowledgeable and did a great job on the routine maintenance service on our rooftop HVAC unit.

A mini split unit was leaking. Called in to have someone come take a look. Luis N. discovered drain was clogged and he vacuumed out the clogged drain for us. Louis was very knowledgable, professional, organized and kept work area clean.

I honestly debated for some time on posting, because although my experience with this company started off GREAT, there were some REALLY stressful moments when the installation was taking place that almost had me losing my mind. I want to begin by immediately saying that Alejandro and Tomas, who were part of the installation team, were TRULY AMAZING, HARD-WORKING and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done professionally and efficiently. David, who I dealt with throughout the process, was also attentive, understanding and went out of his way to make sure a I was happy and the system was working. Despite some issues that came up throughout the weekend, EVERYTHING turned out fine, and Im a happy customer. My only recommendation is if youre planning to get a whole new system installed, dont do it on a Friday. Make sure you schedule the installation in the early part of the week in case something goes wrong.I plan to nurture my relationship with Marathon HVAC for a long time and expect to continue to receive ONLY the BEST service and attention.I definitely recommend this company!

We had a follow up visit with Luis today and he is a rockstar!! We could not be happier with his level of customer service, technical knowledge, and efficiency!! We have a newer unit and the heater was making a high pitched noise every time it kicked on and Luis figured out what the problem was and fixed it quickly (as an added bonus he saved us $$$$). He patiently explained the issue and answered all of our questions. He is absolutely the best! Marathon is lucky to have him and we are very happy customers!

I probably left a prior review of the the system and how Ray really understood my needs and was super competitive vs a major home improvement center as well as costco.I went with him because he didnt pressure or upsell and came through a close contractor friend.I just had my first maintenance after the system has been running successfully for a year....I want to give a shout out to the tech Dakota who was prompt, thorough and informative of the system and answered all of my questions about how to make sure I get the best use from it. He explained alot of the technology but was just patient and clean from arriving promptly at 8am as well as wearing booties inside the house lol He confirmed my decision to go with Marathon and is an awesome company ambassador!

I wasn’t going to post a review as I felt bad writing a negative one, but after being sent about 5 different emails asking me to post one I suppose I will. Marathon was initially a pleasurable experience. Ray was pleasurable to work with, the work was done on time, the prices were competitive. They fully installed a HVAC unit and had to install air vents in the house. When it came to permit time there were issues unfortunately. When we called an inspector out, the inspector wouldn’t issue me the permit (which I was promised I’d get, Ray assured), because of some issues he saw. Marathon came back out and did some work on the roof. We then had to get the inspector to come out again, this time no one from Marathon showed up and the inspector said they needed a representative from the company. I informed Marathon/Ray. I was never able to get Marathon to come back out however. I sent them like 3-5 emails after asking if they could please conclude this and send someone out so I could get the permit issued for me. They never replied. I had to give up. Kinda a shame. Initial work, when you’ve recently paid, pretty good. Follow up work however, careful, they might not follow through until the end. This is an honest review of what went down. Wish it would have been all positive.

Marathon HVAC was highly recommended to me by my 170 unit condominium HOA President. My AC quit working and I needed a quick diagnosis and service. They responded to my call and were able to come out the next day. They quickly found the problem and had the parts in their truck and fixed it that same day. I felt like they were honest and fair in price. I would highly recommend Marathon HVAC to anyone who needs help with their air conditioner system. Very nice and polite staff!!

I would definitely recommend Marathon HVAC Service, Inc. They replied quickly after I sent in the issue. They set up a time that was convenient for me, verified the time, sent a reminder and a picture of the technician, Guillermo that was going to show up. Guillermo ran a few tests, determined what was wrong, let me know what the issues were and approximately how much it would cost to fix. Once I approved, he fixed the issues, tested it with me present and cleaned up after.

Ray is a man of integrity and I will do business with Marathon as long as he is around. The Service Technicians are knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. I have personally had them install and service my HVAC for over 12 years. I would highly recommend them.

Luis was thorough, professional, and friendly. He took the time to go over our system’s condition in detail and also made sure I understood the terms of our maintenance agreement. I have always had good experiences with Marathon and love the feature they have where I can track my technician’s trip to my house, so I know exactly when they will arrive.

Overall I had a good experience with Marathon HVAC last year. They were busy but they managed to squeeze me in. The only thing was the technician didnt have the right thermal stat so he replaced a wrong one. The heater was on almost all night and I had to lower the starting temperature to 62. I called them the next day and they sent another technician to my house to replaced it with the correct one. After that, everything went well. Both technicians and ladies answered the phone were very friendly. I am sure I will call them again if I need another repair

I navigated a bad HOA to repair and service the HVAC on the roof and then Marathon replaced all my roof ducting for the HVAC and made sure things were right on the job with followups and regular service. Marathon was recommended by a contractor for a remodel. They replaced old ducting, relocated the furnace and coil, and installed new air vents. A big job and definitely not an easy one, but they were thorough. They are transparent and honest with what work needs to be done. Their quote was reasonable for the quality of work. Two years later my AC unit stopped cooling, they came out and repaired a plumbing issue that was caused by a contractor, and my AC was up and running again. They wore shoe covers and made sure the areas they worked on were clean before they left. I really appreciated that. I would highly recommend them for big or small jobs.

I have a commercial property in Signal Hill and have been using Marathon for over 15 years. they have replace three of my 7 units on my building have always done great work and backed up there repairs on the existing units. I trust them so much I even had them do my home up in LA, again a great job done.

This is the best HVAC company around, in my opinion. I have appointments scheduled twice a year and each time they arrive exactly on time! Their work is superlative, and the service is friendly and educational. My highest approval goes to Marathon.

Reuben came in to set up our home thermostat. He was really nice and respectful even when he knew I messed up when installing myself. He held me under stand what I did wrong and had the job done in 20 mins. Very helpful, fast and efficient.

We used Marathon air when it was called Aloha air. Gus and his team of installers installed all new duct work, a condenser and heater for us. We have the smallest of attic space yet they somehow found a way to run ducts through there.We’ve used them for preventative maintenance also and the are on time and efficient.I strongly recommend them for your HVAC needs! We called Marathon HVAC Services as our heater was not working. We were all freezing during the downpour/cold weather in early April/2023. John of Marathon HVAC Services came to our home the next day on time and fixed the problem. We will definitely use their services again.

Had a quote for repair from another vendor that was far higher, ridiculousy high. Marathon was far less, and great work. When they didnt quite fix the problem, returned promptly and identified what needed to be done and only charged for the part, not labor. Fast, polite, they will be my only HVAC service from now on.

Marathon is Superb! At the end of June, our 30 yr old A/C unit went out so we called them right away. (They have been maintaining our unit for a few years now). We got a quote from another company for comparison, but Marathon’s was much more solid and we already trusted them. Eric was our service tech, Gus spent a lot of time working out what we wanted in a new A/C and giving us a quote, and Ivan, Nelson, and Saul spent an entire day during a heat wave installing the new unit; finally, David came to service the filtration system. All of them were excellent, as well as the office/appointment staff. They worked out every issue we had, including bringing a new unit over when the one they opened on-site had been returned to the manufacturer after a previous install attempt. They dealt with all of that, which cost them hours of labor, and they didn’t complain. Plus, they saved us from having a subpar unit which would have been much easier for them to hide, and we wouldn’t have known, but they were honest! We have been running the new Trane unit for weeks now and LOVE our choice of the higher end unit as well as all the work they all put in.

Came out to look at furnace that was blowing cold air and told me that the control board needed replacing, and “maybe some other stuff”. I was estimated $1500 for the control board, but no warranty because they “couldn’t know if this was the extent of the issue.”Cut to two weeks later when I had some time to spend on Internet HVAC forums and I discover that the code blinking on the led on the control board clearly indicated both that it was fine, and that the real culprit was the limiter, which was kicking in and switching off the gas supply. Further investigation found a tiny blockage in the gas line cleared by blowing it through, and hey presto, working furnace.If I can figure it out with a smartphone and a flashlight, then I fear the HVAC specialist they sent, who really seemed very nice, must have either been feeling lazy, not totally honest, or was not fully trained, which didn’t feel like the case.Either way they charged me $100 just for the visit, only to tell me the wrong thing and offer to replace stuff that was working fine, all while predictably trying to upsell me on a new furnace altogether. Pity, because they came recommended, but by someone who, it turns out, was talked in to a furnace replacement, which it seems might be what they are really interested in, not fixing what you have.

I have been dealing with Design Air for the past 3 years and am currently a VIP member. My service guy Leo Zepeda is very knowledgeable and professional and has always been very kind and efficient everytime hes completed my servicing. It is wonderful to have such diligent employees and caring people working for you. Design Air recently merged with Marathon Hvac. Now they have expanded their service area in the Inland Empire. Hopefully, this will be a positive business expansion that brings more reliable service to the Inland Empire. Shout out to April who is also and outstanding office administrator. Shes on top of her job and is very pleasant when dealing with the public. Kudos to all the hard working employees!

Im updating my review. Johns business merged with Marathon HVAC Services and after months of trying to reach John or someone at his company I was finally able to talk to Marathon. They were nice enough to offer to come to my house to take a look at the HVAC that John originally dismissed and basically told me nothing was wrong.There is a part that needs to be replaced in my HVAC in order for it to run quieter, its just getting old so its louder now. Pretty simple.I believe the person Marathon sent out was named Octavio (?) and he was super nice and seemed to be an honest dude. Good experience with Marathon all around.Im bummed because I feel like I paid John a $50 deposit to basically dismiss my concerns but at least Marathon is now trying to help.---------------------------------------------Original review:Someone named John I believe came to look at my HVAC which was running louder than it usually does and was driving me crazy with the noise. Well, they were good until I overextended them by giving out their number here to others in my building and our shared air system is so ancient, that nobody knows how to service it except the owner of Marathon and very few others in the county do, too. By being a good neighbor, I lost their service and their business which I originally used here, and for that alone I would not recommend them ever again. They were prompt. The serviceman was knowledgeable and my central heating/ac unit was serviced. He also vacuumed my Sub-Zero refrigerator. it was all done in an hour.

I keep getting texts from them to write them a review. Im not sure why since I wasnt happy with them but here goes. My AC broke again after one year so I wouldnt recommend Marathon HVAC Services. I paid thousands of dollars for a temporary fix that only lasted 13 months. Yikes.
