Called with an emergency water leak. The dispatcher told me they would come out between 3 and 6pm. They never showed up, never called back and I never got a follow up. Had to call another plumber. The next day they were closed and didnt answer their phones.

City plumbing is a great choice! We used their services for our HOA to fix a sewer drain that had been damaged from tree roots. They quoted us a fair price and finished the whole job in a single day, including going the xtra mile in cleaning up any messes. Had a pretty steady leak that required urgent attention on a Sunday. Called CP&R and got connected with Manny, who was very responsive. He arrived promptly to identify the issue and was able to take care of it in no time. Good communication and transparent process!

From start to finish, City Plumbing and Rooter was the most outstanding plumbing company that I ever had the pleasure of doing business with, if there is such a thing as the pleasure of having a drain unclogged. Their representatives are expeditious in their response times, extremely courteous, and provide direct/clear correspondence with regard to available times and transparent pricing.I had a nasty clog in my shower drain, that backed up to over an inch of water, and selected City Plumbing and Rooter because of their excellent reviews and more than reasonable pricing (from the limited prices I saw online). The first representative called me to ensure that my original online message for an estimate was addressed, a second representative called to schedule an appointment and assure that I would be provided a courtesy call so that I could still work at the hospital up until a half hour before arrival, and finally I received a courtesy call to inform me that the plumbing technician would arrive at 4:30. He arrived 10 minutes early, which almost never happens these days.Kevin, who was about as considerate and personable as could be, was the technician, and after about 4-5 minutes, had the drain completed unclogged and walked me through what he did to the drain. The pricing was phenomenal, payment was easy, and after a very pleasant exchange and well wishes, he was on his way and I had a free and clear shower drain once more. If your service continues to be this impressive, I will be a lifetime customer. Thank you very much and have a great weekend.

The work was mostly done on Friday. Oscar promised to be back on Monday or Tuesday, to finish issues with two sinks, but City Plumbing has not contacted us, to schedule that at all. So, everything should have been finished on Friday, and now, 4 days later, its not done. Extremely poor service, and no communication, even though I have texted twice (and will call now) to ask about the follow-up work. Sinks in both bathrooms do not work (soon to be for 5 days). This is really unprofessional, and we will not use their service ever again. Its a pity, because it seems that the work went pretty well. However, for such an extremely high price (almost 5 figures), youd think they could replace some parts that they didnt bring (their fault) within 5 days. Unconscionable.Im not giving them 1 star, because as mentioned, it seems (at least for now) that the actual work is OK. Disappearing for 4-5 days, and leaving a job unfinished, though, is beyond belief.

I cannot say enough positive things about this experience from the dispatcher who took my call, to the technician Oscar, and the final price to unclog my kitchen sink! After another company missed their appt. I was left scrambling last minute midday. They got Oscar out to our house within about 4 hours. Oscar was the ultimate professional. Very clean personally and his work area, a no give up attitude, super nice in general, and very consultative for future possible issues. When some plumbers quoted $2-400+ for this service, after all Oscars hard work, we were left with a $69 bill. What an amazing experience top to bottom! You have a customer for life!

Paul and Thomas were extremely responsive and professional when they came to fix our shower on a Sunday afternoon.We were initially concerned that we would have to fix the problem by drilling a hole via my neighbor’s unit but they were able to resolve the issue quickly without having to go through our “worst case scenario.”Our building has had issues with various plumbers recently but City Plumbing and Rooter will be our go to in the future. We are happy with the service we received and would definitely recommend their services in the future to anyone in our building!

We used this company for two different visits. Both plumbers, Oscar (I think) and Manny, were on time, professional, and friendly. Manny even went above and beyond and helped us tighten our faucet (which wasn’t related to the job he was there for), which we greatly appreciated!

I bought a townhouse and discovered a number of plumbing issues before and during move in. I also wanted to have an atypical shower unit installed (ask him about it...it saved us money). After speaking with a few plumbers, I went with Paul. He was phenomenal. As I was discovering new issues every other day, he quickly came to help troubleshoot and repair. This morning I suddenly had a drain clog in my bathroom and naturally look to removing the clog myself. The initial work on my end did not help and Im glad I called, since Paul and Mark was able to detect the clog, which was close to the wall in the drainage system.They were very professional, efficient, has the requisite tools, were clean and cleaned up after, and even came in with booties showing how they respect peoples home. Overall a great experience.

I had a clogged kitchen sink on a Saturday, with one plumber from a big name plumbing company already striking out in getting my sink unclogged. I called City Plumbing and they made time to see me right away. Kevin showed up. Kevin was professional, safe, respectful and got the job done well within 45 minutes. The price was reasonable. I highly recommend City Plumbing and Rooter. I will use them again for all my plumbing /rooting needs.

I chose City Plumbing based on 5 star reviews and was more than satisfied with the service and results. I needed two toilets replaced, and while Luis was here I asked if he could suggest ways to get hot water to the kitchen faster. by the end of the day I had my toilets AND my hot water in the kitchen, after he quickly installed a circulation pump. He was immaculately neat and clean (putting on booties when he stepped in the house) and left the house cleaner than when he arrived. Highly recommended!

Honestly I wish we had founded City Plumbing & Rooter sooner!Luis came out and was a true professional. I had a big problem with my water heater that was replaced a year ago after bought 9 months before. Immediately Luis knew what the problem was and gave me 4 options and thoroughly going over every option with me. He wasnt like almost every other plumbing company out there trying to upsell me and scares me into fixing other problems that I didnt have. He was truly honest. I had multiple questions about other issues we have in our home and he was able to diagnosis and give us an estimated timeline of when we should probably start to look into fixing it. In addition, he went over with me procedure that would help me get credit back through the manufacturer and Home Depot. Luis went above and beyond. Thank you so much! I cannot reiterate enough how this company is honest!! Two hours before he came over to look at the problem I got a quote from Titan that was so vague- they couldnt tell me about the problem at all. But wanted me to pay them to try to figure it out for double the price. And then plumber was trying to charge me right then and there to open a valve that he was scaring me into thinking it was a Huge issue in another area of my house. So glad that we called City Plumbing out. Please dont go anywhere else. This is our plumber from here on out.

4/25/24: Just coming back on here as a PSA to double check whatever this company quotes you and tells you what is wrong! Its been almost 2 years and the pump they said was broken is STILL working!2022: Im writing this review because I feel theres a community obligation; I think they have a lot of good reviews because they are very pleasant, fun, & charming, which I appreciated.I had an sewage issue on 5/20/22. My background: I live near Marina del Rey, & my family owns real estate in the OC. Because of this, I was fortunate to eventually get trusted people on the job.CONS:1) They lied; they told me a pump was broken when it is actually fine ($0). They said it would cost $5200 to replace even though it should be ~$3000.2) They tried to overcharge me by 4x; they recommended replacing clay pipes, costing $8-14K and the metal pipes which would cost $6-7K. Instead, of paying over $20K, I paid $5,500 w another co.PROS: Very pleasant. Enjoyed interacting w them.CONCLUSION: Get a 2nd & 3rd opinion, ideally someone you trust. If youre really in a pinch, negotiate down and try to research on Google. Beware of scare tactics If theres an issue, your tenant will have sewage issues. [Implication: you should pay us to fix asap!] Beware of pressure to sign ASAP: We need to order materials.Go to Yelp for the long version.I got 4 more opinions and realized how mispriced and dishonest they were(or maybe they are bad plumbers and misdiagnosed). I confirmed by calling Steven and asking him several times: does the pump need to be replaced? He acquiesced and said, we thought it did when we ran the test(s)...if your guy thought it was ok, we can just do the pipes. I really had to read between the lines and ignore some of the scare tactics in a really stressful sewage situation.I was able to get my familys plumber come; I ended up paying $5,500 instead of Stevens quote of $20K. He also confirmed that the pump was not broken, saving me $5,200.I write this because there was a lack of honesty. The mispricing was disrespectful--they did not think I would get a 2nd, 3rd, 4th opinion (a lot of work, mind you) due to my urgency. They took advantage of my lack of knowledge (and maybe my gender).I know that its an art, and they need to make money, but I feel pretty bummed that this company is intent on maximizing every dollar and taking advantage.Hope this helps

Kevin was amazing! I called at 9pm for an emergency job. Both my toilets were clogged and Kevin was knowledgeable and got there fast. He got the job done and gave me a warranty because my pipes were so bad and my manager wouldnt do anything about to. Thank god for the warrant because two days later they were clogged again and he came the same day with no problems. Hes really the best!

Both of my sinks and toilets were clogged late at night and I wasn’t really sure who to call so I did some research and came across city plumbing. They sent over Kevin really quick and he took care of the clogged drains and toilets in a timely manner and was super nice. I backed up my kitchen sink, and I was hoping someone could come out the same day. City Plumbing and Rooter had a very busy day, but fit me in. Paul and his crew were great! They came out on a Sunday to help us with a serious leak from the auto fill valve for our pool. They also assisted us by installing some shut off valves and regulators to reduce the water pressure. These guys were great, hard working and did great work.

Their repairman Jaime was very professional, respectful and honest. He was fast at getting here on a Sunday afternoon, knowledgeable of what needed to be done to repair a minor gas leak in our fireplace and kept the area clean. Good guy overall who represented the company well, thank you!

We had leaking fauset in the shower. Technician came on time, quickly identified the issue, assesed the work and offered solution to prevent similar issue in the future. He had to cut the tile inside the shower to replace the entire faucet, but at the end we have new unit and no visible damage to the tiles. Great work City Plumbing! Thank you!

These guys are beyond helpful to our family. I feed my mom through a feeding tube due to a stoke that left her incapacitated and I make her food fresh with blended ingredients,but as soon as I was gonna start, my kitchen sink facet broke and made an already hard job even harder. My sprinklers started leaking while off, on Saturday night of Presidents Day weekend. I contacted All City on Sunday. They are closed on Sundays, but called me first thing Monday morning and were at my house by around 9:30 a.m. George spent 45 minutes attempting to diagnose the problem, including clearing some debris from a drain. He explained exactly what he was doing, but was unable to find what was causing the leaking. However, the diagnosis attempts apparently fixed the problem, as the leak stopped while he was checking everything. If it recurs, Ill need to have a leak detection crew out. But until then, NO CHARGE! Thank you George and All City Plumbing and Rooter.

Made several calls, most not available till Monday but City Plumbing responded in a timely manner and dispatched Kevin within 45”. City Plumbing was not my first choice. My first options, 1 of which never called back, the other provided this number has been changed or disconnected after multiple calls.. they finally came after 5:30pm when I told them the service issue was outside. The window of time was 2-4pm, it got dark! I could NOT reach them to find out if anyone was coming--City Plumbing answered the phone, checked with dispatch, called me back within 5 minutes, called again to confirm, called even again for more detail to ensure they had the right person and tooling for the job.Then, I got a surprise call can we come early if not, they would of course stick with the original appointment time.On the same day, David showed up! If everyone or even most were as kind as he was, this world would be a very different place!He diagnosed, opened his bag of tricks, even called his supervisor,, tricky job--They are my new go-to!Simple as that!

Highly recommended! Andrew and Chad did a fantastic job fixing my water heater which had a glitchy pilot light which mysteriously wouldnt stay on after being lit, thus restoring much-needed hot water to my residence. I was pleased that I was able to schedule an appointment the same day I called, and Andy and Paul were punctual in their arrival the first day the water heater was looked at. Paul determined right away that a gas control valve needed replacement, and was kind enough to point out that since the water heater was still under warranty with the company, I could order it directly and have it shipped with expedited shipping, and then have the work done and be reimbursed by the company for the cost. This saved me a lot of money that I would have otherwise had to spend. As soon as the part arrived, I was again able to schedule an appointment for Andrew and Chad to come out and install the part which they installed perfectly with no issues or problems. They were both friendly and professional. Thank you for your attention to service and integrity! And I appreciate the prompt service so I can take a hot shower now! :)

Just moved in to our new home a couple months ago, had a bath tub with no faucet in it and a bathroom vanity with no sinks or faucets. Made a call to city plumbing a rooter - they scheduled the owners nephew Luis to come in and install everything! His professionalism, and work etiquette is unmatched! I haven’t been happier about anyone I have hired to work on my home. Conscientious and careful plumbers that charge a fair rate are hard to find. I interviewed several people before hiring City Plumbing and Rooter and found that the reps were not listening to me, were arrogant, were trying to charge way too much for the job. I was very discouraged until Luis came out to assess the job and explained the repipe process, listened to my concerns, and checked ahead of time on work we had done earlier to avoid quoting for work that didn’t need doing at the time of repiping. Not only did they investigate the leaks that we suspected, Luis discovered an additional problem with a vent pipe during we had no idea was in trouble. These guys went above and beyond to get our 75 year old plumbing into the 21st century - they also repaired and took care to anticipate and prevent future problems. I wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable, trustworthy, highly capable, and respectful plumbers (with a super cute puppy on their logo, bonus points for puppy illustrations!)

Ive used City Plumbing and Router for a variety of jobs around my house and theyre always my first call. I moved into a house that was built in the 1960s so I knew there might be some issues. Right away I had to dig up my driveway and replace a large section of old clay pipe that was clogging constantly. They did a great job getting out the old pipe and replacing it, I havent had any issues since. I also thought I had drainage in my back yard, but it was done very poorly so as soon as the heavy rains came water backed up into my house. Paul came back out, looked at what we had and came up with a plan to add drainage to the street, weve also added large drains by our sliding door, a pump system, and backup drain to keep water out of our house. Theyve always been great about coming out quickly, finding a solution, and being able to start quickly to solve my issues.

The bathtub faucet was not working property, had no pressure.after several attempts from insurance with different plumbers, finally contracted City Plumbing and Rooter, right away they knew what the problem was after received authorization from the insurance the faucet was fixed, and now works perfectly, better then new. I recommend City Plumbing and Rooter.

On this past Saturday night, Oscar repaired our garbage disposal. He was prompt, punctual, and professional to the utmost degree. I called City after 8pm last night when a pipe attached to my house outside burst from the top. Paul and his team were immediately responsive. He talked to me over the phone and explained the likely issue and fix. I even sent photos over for him to see right then. He gained my trust by telling me that it required a special part that he didn’t immediately have with him, and that he wouldn’t feel right about coming after hours for an emergency fee. After making sure I no longer had an active leak, he assured me he would be at my home first thing in the morning to fix the issue. He came earlier than he promised and fixed the issue right away. An extremely professional, polite, communicative, and informative company and service provider. They will be my Go-To from now on. Highly recommended.

City Plumbing and Rooter simply raises the bar (and drain) for plumbing in Southern California, and most likely the whole country, but I can only speak for the Los Angeles area. I recently enlisted the team led by the smart, professional, compassionate, kind, and extremely knowledgeable foreman George. I had an emergency. My toilet would not stop leaking water, food from the disposal, and God knows what else for nearly eight hours on a Friday night. After calling six plumbers to no avail (including two I had used before), City picked up in the middle of the night, and George was there at first light. He provided the only fair and comprehensive assessment of my homes plumbing problems I had received. He really cared, and that was instantly apparent. My entire pipe system under the house was rendered unusable. Pipes had collapsed due to being nearly seventy-years-old, but George started this comprehensive and eventually week-long job that day, wasting no time. He was available, helpful, and just downright awesome every day to follow. The same can be said of his extensive team who made efficient work of a massive job without disrupting the home and work-from-home. We hardly knew they were there. I had dealt with seven plumbers prior and was never met with the integrity, knowledge, proficiency, and downright artful work of City Plumbing and Rooter, George, and Co. However, comparisons wont do the company justice. They are in a whole pipe of their own. If you need plumbing in Southern California, ONLY call City. They made home whole again, and I will use them for all of my plumbing needs forever.

Our water heater was leaking and our drains were slow. Our neighbor recommend City Plumbing. They had good reviews so we called them. They now have another good review. Luis and Paul came out, think Paul was the boss. After a through evaluation, they gave us a reasonable quote. We went with them. They really knew what they were doing. I had a new stove that would go all the way back to the wall because of a gas pipe sticking out a little too much in back. Jorge from City Plumbing and Rooter arrived right away and he helped me figure out that I could raise the legs on the stove over the height of the gas pipe in back so we didn’t need to install a special box in the wall which would’ve been very expensive. He was very professional and worked quickly to solve my problem. I highly recommend Jorge!

We are extremely happy with their service, the person who come for estimate , the people answer the phone, and the crew. Repiping a 5000 sq-ft home is a big job which lasted for 7 business days. They stayed late at night a few times making sure we would have hot water. They are very professional and clean up everyday after they are done. The office is always available to answer questions. On March 14, 2022, I found City Plumbing and Rooter via the internet. My problem was a slow draining kitchen sink on the second floor apartment. The employee assigned to my service location was Oscar. I explained what the symptoms were and he immediately gave a few diagnoses after viewing the problem. Oscar displayed professionalism and knowledge while on the job. Displayed was the wearing of the mask at all times for public protection due to the COVID-19. Seeing how the living area has wood floors, Oscar also put on plastic shoe booties to cover his shoes while inside at all times. Top notch. Oscar was able to clear the problem via the outside main drain line and the drain line leading down to the main line via the kitchen sink. You are so lucky to find this company if you have any leak or plumbing need! I was in desperate search of someone to help me solve a serious neighborhood mystery. For one month every morning my neighbors would ask me about what they thought was a gas leak on my property. It was holiday night, none of us (There are seven units in our building.) had hot water and the leak from the communal water heater was causing water damage. I couldnt get my HOA management company to take care of it until the next day. (Id called them at 9am and they said theyd send someone out. They called back at 7 that night and said theyd send someone in the morning.)At 9pm that night Paul showed up and accessed the problem. He gave me the option of replacing the pipe that night, or patching the leak, so I could have the HOA plumber take care of it when they got there the next day. I opted to have the leak patched.He made sure I knew that the patch was a temporary fix. Explained the bigger issue, which would need HOA approval before we moved forward. He was friendly, knowledgable, and very good at explaining the overall problem. He offered some options, said he could take care of it if I wanted, and gave me a reasonable estimate, along with other long term solutions.I cant say enough how great it was to have him here. Hot water is restored and we have the time to figure out our next steps to make sure the pipes for the whole building stay in good shape. And the kindest of all, he waived the fee for the patch. Cant say enough how reassuring it was to have a professional on the scene who knew what the short and long term solutions were.About 20 people are a lot happier tonight because of him.Id give him an extra star if I could.

I had a leak in my shower that was causing a bunch of water to leak underneath my house. I scheduled an appointment just yesterday with city plumbing and rooter and these job is already completed and fixed as of right now. We could not be happier with the work of Jaime & Jerry of City Plumbing & Rooter. They diagnosed and fixed the source of our dishwasher not evacuating water properly, and, they went out of their way to try and get us a replacement valve for a wall mounted pot filler at our stove. We highly recommend using them when you are in need, from the first contact with the office/dispatcher to the end result of the work.Additional: 11/3/2020 I would like to add to this review. We had a new issue come up at our house - our tankless water heater just stopped working mid dishwashing! I called City Plumbing and Frances jumped right on getting Luis out to our house to look at the water heater. It turned out to be a tripped breaker, and bless his heart, Luis did not look at me like I was a looney lady for calling him out for this simple fix. He asked me about whether we had been instructed upon installation about maintenance and filters for the unit. We had not, so I went ahead and authorized the service and installation of the filter system. Everything was done by early evening. The professionalism is tremendous. We had a sink and faucet to install and needed a new garbage disposal. This cost 1200 and the caulking was poorly put around the sink, already come off twice. We paid our bill so they have not responded to 2 inquiries to help us fix this.
