Unprofessional and Overpriced – Avoid This Company!I had a terrible experience with Roto-Rooter and would strongly advise against hiring them. They initially quoted me $400 to unclog my toilet. After 3 unsuccessful attempts, they then presented me with two more inflated quotes: $1,495 for a one-time air blaster use or $7,995 to replace the old pipes.When I asked for time to think about it, the technicians became extremely rude and impatient. They yelled at us and even threatened us to pay the $400, despite not resolving the issue. Their behavior was unprofessional, and the pressure tactics were completely unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and find a more reliable, honest plumbing service.

I had a clogged sewer line that was filled with roots. I called up Roto Rooter and they sent Ian and Zuly to save the day. They spent a good amount of time working on the problem and finally cleared my sewer line. They did a great job.

As all RotoRooter does is ignore, does not mention what they offer to do to reimburse for their damages.just discussing it with no mentionsof what they want to arrange to dotruly does nothing and truly doesnot help. Richard was a pleasant technician and explained to us our issue and resolution and future prevention methods.

Horrible experience, we agreed on $ 397, after the plumber broke something then the final cost is $ 750, a mistake on their part. started at 11 am finished at close to 6 pm.

Richard is very proficient at what he does. I have used him before for drain cleaning. I would definitely recommend Roto-rooter to anyone!

We had corroded kitchen sink pipes that were leaking. I called for a same day appointment and they sent someone with the hours, which is amazing. Noah was great! He came and changed out our pipes. Work time took about an hour or so. He was very quick and maintained a clean work space. Hey had another technician (Carlos) come and assess for any moisture damage, which is part of the service. Both were extremely nice and provided a lot of helpful information. This is our third time using Rotor-Rooter.

You guys totally suck. All I needed was for you to unscrew a stubborn valve cartridge in my shower. Instead you sent 4 different plumbers to strip the hex bolt so the only option was to break tile and wall and cut the entire valve out. Then your manager totally ghosted me like a coward. Thanks for absolutely nothing. You guys are the absolute worst. Please post this review. I plan on putting it everywhere I can too.

They worked to night over 7pm and were very patient to do hydro jetting service, video camera check, then hydro jetting with big head again. He was professional, explained everything step by step and even answered all our dumb questions. Not to mention, he was quick, efficient and helpful. I highly recommend him if youre in the Altadena/Pasadena area.

Christian H. was amazing! He was SO helpful and offered options for the future. I needed my pilot relit but there may be an underlying issue regarding this recurring problem and he couldnt have been more helpful. Really Roto-Rooter, Christian was the best repairman that a person could get.

Had a situation at a townhouse I manage that required a main line flush and water cleanup. Roto-Rooter took care of me when I could not find another plumber on a Sunday morning. Noah, did a fantastic job. He is very knowledgeable and was able to quickly address an issue with some faucet valves and supply lines. He knew exactly what tools to use to remove a compression bolt and was able to work very quickly and very tight. Space. Will recommend Roto-Rooter any day.

I had a clogged kitchen sink. The technician had trouble opening the outside hookup and had to open up line from under sink. The whole kitchen flooded. He seemed to be missing tools to do the job. Then I had to wait for his supervisor to check the work. This all took 6 hours!!! Last he wrote up the invoice and charged me; then took it and didn’t leave me my copy. I was so busy cleaning up the mess that I didn’t realize this until he had left!

Noah was quick, friendly, and professional. And most importantly, he did a great job on our sink! He even showed us how to turn off our water valve. Really went above and beyond. Will request him in the future!

Our Roto Rooter tech, Giuliano, was outstanding! I got home from a trip on a Sunday evening to find that our entire bathroom was stopped up from toilet to sink to bathtub. We called around and no plumbing services were available but Roto Rooter had a tech they were able to send out. They called back to let us know the tech was available even earlier. He arrived and figured out what he needed to do. The clean out that he needed was located in our side yard which is filled with junk but he was able to get his tools where they needed to be, even though it seemed impossible to get to. He had our drain unclogged quickly and stayed long enough for us to run the water for several minutes to make sure full flow was restored. Definitely a huge help with the availability and the excellent service!

After a horrible experience with another plumbing company, I called Roto-Rooter and they sent someone here in an hour. Dexter was very professional and knowledgeable. Called because I had a handy man make a repair to my toilet which turned out to still have the issue. I called at 5 pm to schedule service for Monday and they said they could have someone out within 2 hours. Awesome, the tech Myles came out and listened to my issues and concerns, and then got straight to work. He was done in record time as the handy man took 2 hours for 1 toilet. Miles was done quicker and got two taken care of. Also tightened up a loose bolt on my faucet. We had a bit of an emergency when we sprung a leak. Water was all over the floor and we were worried about it sinking in to the walls. I called Roto-Rooter because they have a good reputation and they did not disappoint me. They were at our house in a little over one hour and two different gentlemen were they are working on different aspects and they were terrific. Friendly, professional and diligent.

Darrick was a very professional and courteous person. Was very knowledgeable on replacing the toilet. He helped with the best Solutions for me. Since I’m 75 yrs old I received the senior discount. Which he advised me about. I would use them again and let friends and family know.

I called Saturday afternoon about a water leakage underneath the house and to my surprise they had someone available to come Sunday first thing in the morning 8am. The service technician Michael showed up and explained to me where the leak was coming from, the service charge for the service to fix it. I agreed. We shut the water and he was done with the job. Called Roto-Rooter to unclog a toilet, and received a 2-4 hour window of time to expect the plumber (when other companies said they could come out after New Year’s Day). The technician was polite but we were told over the phone that there is no charge for an estimate. To our dismay we were instantly charged $50 and it didn’t even take any labor to determine that we needed to change the cartridge for our shower...we had the flange and knob off already so the tech had a easy time seeing what needed to be done and what the problem was. Don’t believe the free estimate thing they will reel you in and go for the checkbook when the tech gets there. They call it a “courtesy” charge but they’ll never mention it to you before they come ....it’s a total crock

I am so impressed with this team! Having just moved and dealt with a number of contractors, this was by far the best experience: they came, they fixed, they conquered. They were clear experts, completely professional, and delightful to boot. It’s a relief to know I have someone I can trust to call. I won’t be calling anyone else for my plumbing needs!

His customer service was excellent. The reason why Im giving 4 stars is because Roto-Rooter is extremely expensive. That 10 minutes cost me $100.

No quote by phone asked to estimate said around 100.00 . Guy arrived and wants 260 for simple hair clog ..really ..come on... prob wont use again. Not transparent .guy who did the work was good . No complaint.. finally agreed in $150. With a coupon on there site for 5minute job 🤔

Technician was professional and the shower issue was fixed. We felt the total cost was too much although it was estimated and we agreed to prior to the repair. We were charged $440 for 2 little parts that we could have purchased at Amazon or from a local site for less than $100.

Late on a Sunday afternoon our toilet and tub backed up. We only have one bathroom so this was serious for us. We contacted Roto-Rooter because they had provided great service in the past. Their Plumber, Ronnie Leon was at our home within an hour and a half, as promised. Ronnie explained our problem professionally and detailed our options. Fred Yepez joined Ronnie, showed us where the root blockage was in the line and worked with us towards an immediate and long-term solution. They were incredible!! We will use them in the future and refer them to our family and friends as people we can trust. Thank you guys!!

I was very happy with this part.My complaint is more that I saw a 50.00 off coupon on one website (apparently different Roto-Rooter) and their website had a 20.00 off, but I wasn’t offered either or given an option to apply, so I got no discount.First time using this service. Undecided if we will be return customers.

Ray provided great service with the installation of our Takagi water heater. After a long day he still came out to help us because we didn’t have any hot water. I highly recommend him.

I’ve had three encounters with this Roto Rooter office and each was outstanding. Eric could not have been more prompt, courteous, responsive and professional. I interfaced with four different plumbing services and Roto Rooter stood heads and shoulders above the rest. Eric and his assistant Jason performed a very difficult slab leak repair with the utmost care and concern for my family’s well being while doing so — outstanding! They kept me informed with regards to everything they were doing and exercise skill and expertise in keeping the worksite and my home free of excessive dust and debris. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others! I extend the highest ratings concerning the work performed for my home and family!

We had a sudden water backup at our house that we are renting on a Sunday and no one else could come. RotoRooter not only came to fix the problem in a timely manner, but they were both concerned and cheerful while doing the work. In addition, the two women at the call center and at dispatch made us feel that they were personally committed to solving our problem—not just the words, but the feeling came through. This is exemplary customer service, even though it was quite expensive, even for an emergency call.

The plumber, Ben, was courteous, professional, and on time. Would have rated at 5 stars but felt the price was a little on the high side but I guess if we paid less we would have gotten shoddy service.Potentially bad experience turned out great.We recommend.

When our toilet needed to be reset because it had shifted; they were able to send someone out AND before the estimated time frame. Ben worked diligently to not only fix the problem; but stay within the quoted estimate. He did a thorough job to make sure the everything was done right the first time so he would not need to come out again for the original problem or any future issues at this time.7/18/19Our Shower was acting up and the hot water wouldn’t stop running. Jose not only fixed the problem without having to go to the worst case problem but discovered a few problems we were unaware. With estimates we now know what needs to be done and how we will tackle them.

I was unable to meet with Michael for the plumbing job but it was unnecessary to do so since he explained everything over the phone. He was prompt and efficient according to the tenant present at the site of the tub clog. Joseph was able to quickly diagnose the problem backing up the plumbing in our whole house and get our drains clear right away! He was also very upfront about the potential causes and how much each option would cost so there were no surprises.

Quickly cleaned out a blocked storm drain. A bit pricey but they get the job done. Last time required more work getting out tree roots but he didnt quit until it was really clean.

Dexter did a great job he was quick and efficient and he even cleaned up my shower for me I would give him a four stars

I called 2 local plumbers. One said he would call me back and never did. The other said he would call me before he came out at 9 a.m. , he called me 3 hours after he was supposed to. When he didnt call 9 a.m. I called Roto-Rooter. They told me a technician would call me before he was on his way. Anyhow the technician called me and fix the problem with my drains quickly, and most importantly professionally. I save time and money. When the other plumber called I told him Roto-Rooter had come and fixed the problem. My technicians name was Josh and he was very professional. Thank you Josh

We needed sewer pipes cleaned out and repaired. The team who came kept me notified about their work by phone call and text throughout the process since I was not at the house. They were extremely polite and knowledgeable which gave me peace. This home is in Seal Beach.

Andrew was professional and courteous. He did not however check his work once it was completed nor did he educate us on turning all the faucets on to let the air escape. Although we had cold water we had no hot water or shower pressure in the morning. When we did locate the problem and turned the hot water back on (which we assume Andrew had turned off to replace the pipe) we saw that the pipe was leaking and was not appropriately tightened. Fortunately we had pliers and tightened the replaced pipe and stopped the leak ourselves but it was a huge headache for our morning. We will be keeping an eye on this pipe hopefully nothing more will happen.

I got online the previous night and requested a call back the next morning for service between 8 and noon. Got a call at 8:30 am from a very professional woman verifying my e-mail information. She said Id have help, soon, which I did. Adrian and Horacio were interested in what I had to tell them about the clogged line, Adrian explained my options, then he and Horacio quickly set about to solve it, the way I requested. There was no attempt at up selling, high pressure or scare tactics used, just open and honest dialog. The problem was solved, in less than an hour, to my complete satisfaction. Adrian and Horacio make a great team. Roto Rooter can be proud to have them on their team. I wouldnt hesitate to call Roto Rooter again, and wont hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

Once the plumbers came to my house, i only have wonderful things to say. They worked hard and solved all of my problems. They were fantastic! However, Roto-Rooters dispatch system is terrible. I made an appointment online, it was confirmed in a telephone call. Someone was going to be at my house between 4 and 6. At 5:30 p.m., I was called and told the earliest someone was going to arrive was 9 p.m. So, i said what about the next day. I was told they were wide open. Id be marked urgent and would be top of the list. I could pick any one hour window and a plumber would arrive. So, i said okay between 1 and 2. Well, at 1:45 having heard nothing i called and was told the earliest someone would arrive would be 4 p.m. at 5 p.m. 24 hours after my initial appointment a plumber showed up. The plumber was great 5 stars! The dispatch and appointment system gets 1 star!

I recently had rhe greatest experience with technician Richard from Roto Rooter. Richard came out to my property last Thursday in Santa Monica and was an absolute plumbing prince 🤴. He arrived on time, pleasant attitude (even after he saw the toilet and tub 🤢) and worked wonders. Knowledgeable, hard working and polite. I couldnt have hoped for a better experience. Needless to say, he was successful in unclogging the drain and removed about a wigs worth of hair 🤮 all while being the consummate professional. Roto Rooter is fortunate to have him on their team and I am even luckier he was assigned to my property!

Ok first iff, the customer service is diamond quality. The lafies and gents who took my call and then called with an update, solid. Tgen Mr Michael came to my house, i didnt know Rito Rooter is 24 hours. I told him my problem. He told me basic to worse case scenario, he advised me accordingly, i told him i need the hot water, even in the worse case scenario. Michael was done in less than an hour, he counseled me on the problem. I have hot water, yes i do! I will only call Roto Rooter from now to eternity. Diamond.

I had a wonderful experience with Roto Rooter. Our roof gutter is supposed to divert rain into an underground drain. That underground drain got clogged by mud and tree roots over the years . Roto Rooter sent a super-experienced serviceman, who diagnosed the problem and worked diligently to clear the drain. It was much cheaper than calling a plumber (if I could even find a plumber to do this work)....and a plumber would not have nearly the same expertise with this particular problem!

I had a well known drain service company to to unclog my toilets slow draining problem. After the standard short rootering failed, the technician removed the toilet and found roots clogging. He hand removed some roots and said that it would require water jet cleaning for $776. After jetting he failed to remove the roots clump. The next day the company dispatched his supervisor to scope the drain pipe and told me the drain pipe has been damaged requiring to cut the slap and dig into the ground in my bathroom to repair or replace the toilet drain section. The next day I called a second well known drain service company. The tech after listening to my description of the problem quoted a estimate to replace the section at the cost of $8.2K. Rotor Rooter was the third party I called to do estimate. The supevisor insisted on to lift the toilet to do inspection himself before estimating the required work. After scoping he diagnosed that the drain pipe section

Bathroom sink was clogged. Old house, old pipes.The technicians explained what they were going to do and gave me an estimate on the cost.Since the pipes are old, they took special care to not damage the lines.

Needed help re-lighting the water heater pilot. The overwhelming heat may have turned off the pilot as a safety. Came home from essential work a few days ago and pilot was out. Not a fan of DIY projects, better leave this part to the professionals. Saving a hundred bucks isnt worth losing your life and home. When I need to replace the water heater, Roto-Rooter will be my first responder. Thanks for providing non-essential service! Residents at home during the stay-at-home more often order are just as essential!
